I've seen several videos on how to give silkies a bath and yours by far is the easiest and one that makes the most common sense thank you for this video look forward to subscribing to your channel and getting more information and I am contemplating raising silkies here in Indiana
They generally do a good job keeping themselves clean, but you can bathe them as needed. Be sure to wash your chicken in moderation, only when it is necessary.
My chickens are dirty The regular chickens. they're not silkies. they're six is orange and one is brown but they got in the dirt and the mess they make behind I got to get the poo off somehow any advice I'll get them in the tub if that's what it takes😮

but i heard that dawn dish soap makes it so then the skin gets dry and the feathers get brittle
You can use dawn dish soap but you always want to be sure to wash your chicken in moderation, only when it is necessary. Thank you for watching!

What if it’s her head that’s really dirty??
You can gently use your hand and some water to wash the top of your chicken's head. You just don't want to submerge their entire head in the water.
