Bill actually doesn't side with Dutch and Micah in any traditional sense. During the confrontational scene among the gang members, Bill is the only person in the gang holding his guns sideways into the air instead of pointing them at either side. It suggests he remains mostly neutral and conflicted. People assume he picked Dutch's side because Bill ends up killed in the long run by John, but once the Pinkertons over-run the camp, Bill and Javier head south. Bill keeps contact with Javier but starts his own gang and moves into Fort Mercer. Not only does Bill not actually pick sides, but there was never a chance for him to decide because that is the last time he ever saw Dutch or Micah or even Arthur. Once the Pinkertons came in, the gang broke up almost entirely.

I don’t remember the exact words, but essentially he was sorry that Arthur got captured and tortured because of something that was essentially his plan. “I thought that, if something were to go down, they would shot me. Not you.”

Never would have thought that I would enjoy his character so much in a prequel when playing RDR1, like Bill (and tbf all of the surviving gang members) weren't NEARLY as fleshed out as they are in RDR2, which isnt a bad thing necessarily, it worked very well and made RDR2's portrayal of the characters that muc hbetter, knowing how everyone's stories end.

Micah's equine-esque laugh killed me. This game had so few moments where Arthur and Micah here palling around. Wish they could have pulled a 180 on his character, like him and arthur slowly start to dislike each other more and more until a certain mission happens where they slowly become very very close friends and end up helping John and Arthur. He'd either Help marston if Arthur decided to get the money or would decide to get the money if Arthur helped marston.
Arthur and Micah could have been a great duo! The only missions I like with Micah are the coach robbery in chapter 2 and the shootout in Rhodes in chapter 3, those 2 missions really showed that Arthur and Micah were a great duo.
Would indeed be nice if we had more personal quests with Micah to feel the shock of betrayal in the end even more, but there is no need in wattpad stories, remember, they are collegues above all, even banditism is a workplace where Micah is the asshole
I would've preferred if they made Micah more likeable with redeeming qualities instead of the cartoonishly evil standout of the gang. Keep his wild and violent tendencies but have him be loyal and friendly with certain gang members like Arthur, that way, when he betrays us it'd be vastly more shocking and heartbreaking than it ended up being in the game.
On my second playthrough, given how the game ends. I’m always antagonizing Dutch Micah and marion 🤣 never ever antagonize Charles he’s one of my favorite characters.
Antagonizing Charles is like antagonizing your best but most dangerous friend. Like you know he wont end your life right now, but you know he wont hesitate if you pushed him far enough
Honestly, Micah is a great character in the game as a foil to Arthur. I think Milton lied about him being the rat so that if Arthur escaped he’d be to busy ripping the gang apart instead of warning them to run. Yes Micah is evil but he is a very different kind of evil
They should've added it as an easter egg that if arthur interacts with this conversation for the rest of the game Bill is labeled as "Marion" in subtitles and when Arthur focuses on him 🤣

I think that's the point it helps the player in feeling the frustration Arthur feels when he sees Dutch listening to only Micah even though he's so blatantly awful
Honestly, I think Micah went easy on Bill here. Knowing Micah, he certainly had an opportunity to be so much more harsh and cruel to Bill. What he actually ended up saying is the equivalent of a high school insult (e.g. "your parents must have hated you to give you that name). I mean, it's hardly the "WORST" insult you can be given for having an embarrassing name. And this is Micah we're talking about. A deranged and psychopathic outlaw for whom insults might be the LEAST worst thing you'd expect from him. Probably why Arthur joined him in ribbing Bill about it, since it seems more like "harmless" fun for a couple of outlaws vs being a critique of their personality and loyalty.

Honestly, Micah is a great character in the game as a foil to Arthur. I think Milton lied about him being the rat so that if Arthur escaped he’d be to busy ripping the gang apart instead of warning them to run. Yes Micah is evil but he is a very different kind of evil

I wish there was more stuff like this of Micah and Arthur getting along. I wish Micah could have been a more likeable character because it would have been more of a shock when he betrays the gang. As it is currently, Micah's betrayal just felt predictable.

Honestly, I think Micah went easy on Bill here. Knowing Micah, he certainly had an opportunity to be so much more harsh and cruel to Bill. What he actually ended up saying is the equivalent of a high school insult (e.g. "your parents must have hated you to give you that name). I mean, it's hardly the "WORST" insult you can be given for having an embarrassing name. And this is Micah we're talking about. A deranged and psychopathic outlaw for whom insults might be the LEAST worst thing you'd expect from him. Probably why Arthur joined him in ribbing Bill about it, since it seems more like "harmless" fun for a couple of outlaws vs being a critique of their personality and loyalty.
