What's the biggest fish you have caught this year? 🎣
26.6 carp......not the biggest, but it'll do for the 4 times I've gone fishing this year. Pike next week, though! If I can sneak a double I'll be happy.
10lb 6 zander on a dead perch
I caught a 15lb 8oz pike yesterday! New PB ashame it was on a deadbait and not a lure tho
@Hooked_on_lures I always find the bigger fish are caught on bait 😕
@DannyFR30 4 times this year and catch a carp that size it's amazing mate, well done! My biggest carp is over 10lb but just fished for them 3 or 4 times 😅

I must admit I absolutely love the the jig fly especially in clear conditions on the canal systems I’ve had many fish on them and also own a snagged bro jig fly but on canals I fish them without any extra weights as once wet the cast lovely and love the way they hang in the water which is usually when u get a hit

I think any lure can work, if you're lucky on the day. I don't really buy into the hype around certain lures. My most consistent catcher has been the Drennan Esox Zombie crankbait, especially in the milder months. ATB MMMD.
That drennan esox zombie looks really good and it's not expensive! I might give that one a try! And yes I agree, any lure will work depending on the day 😁
@@zombiebitefishing I think the realistic pearly scale effect on the sides of the Zombie are very effective. It has worked best in mild/warmer weather to be honest but they do love it on the right days. ATB MMMD.
@MudMaxMetalDetecting this time of the year is really a struggle to find the right lure. Even our best lures struggle to get a bite mate.
Mate I lost the biggest fish I’ve ever hooked just two days ago, and had it on long enough to see it was a huge zander absolutely gut wrenching 🥴it’s all I can think about 😂great vid👍

Stick at the jigflies quality presentation tough on lures at minute had first decent fish for a while other days after racking up plenty steps just how it is this time of year

Great video man, I thought I'd recommend the aliexpress Spinpolar vigour perch shad, it's an exact copy of the LMAB kofi perch, you can get 3 sizes small medium and large. Also, how do you like your abu garcia genike combo? I saw it in angling direct and liked it, but there's no videos about it really on youtube. Would you recommend it?

It's basically a Max X with a different colour, it's a decent combo to be fair. I've used it on a few videos after that one too, caught a few pike with it and been using it since!

I can throw 30g if I need more I go for another combo to be honest! It's quite a decent combo I think it's basically a Max X with different colours I think.
I don't remember catching anything big but I'm sure you'll handle any double figure with it 😁

@collegesynewave bit of a learning curve to be honest, but once you get all the settings right it will be easy! Avoid overhead casts as well in the beginning ☺️
