Top ten looking cars of all time....up there with anything. Congrats! The coupe is superb looking too...equal in looks to the convertible. V6 and V8 are both amazing sounding...different but equal. Dark blue is superb on an F-type.
That color combo is stunning and rare. You likely have one of the few in the world. Your disbelief in owning the F-Type is how I felt when I finally bought mine. I've compared it to owning a valuable piece of art and being as happy looking at it as driving it. Among the three cars, the BMW might be a driving machine, but it's a freaking SEDAN and looks as boring and ordinary as most other BMWs. The R8, on the other hand, is a stylish head turner like the Jaaaaaag, and would be the only other choice I'd make from a styling standpoint. You nailed it when you talked about the two personalities of the F-Type, regular and dynamic. So, when/if you ever tire of the pops, you have the gentlemanly option of driving a wonderfully classy, DISTINCT touring car, and you will still be satisfied because it is a head turner like few other cars on the road today. Good job and congratulations! Keep it, enjoy it, and stop pondering life without a Jaaaaag. The few dollars you make on its sale will never fill the hole in your heart when you wave goodbye to the next delighted owner. You'll realize then what you gave up. You'll never be the same, so enjoy the thrill of being special.
Could you maybe do a vid on what site you bid on, how you’d make a profit with the purchase, how to spot a good deal etc. , where you sell it for a profit 😊
yes.. maybe make a video on that subject. I have been driving a Z4 35i for 6 years now and have been thinking about F-type v8 as a replacement many times. Things that have put me off so far: DCT in Bmw vs automatic in F-type. How the paddles and buttons feel... The infotainment in older F-types vs idrive in the Z4... Softtop vs hardtop... (i would probably prefer F-type Coupe) And general JLR reliablility ( though BMW and N54 arent that reliable... Bmw still has all the parts catalogues, repair manuals, diy guides widely available online. BMW forums contain a lot more technical knowledge and people who do occationaly work on their cars themselves.. Land rover forums are not active at all and usually if theres an issue its solution ends up being a trip to the dealer.. ( had a LR Disocery Sport in the family for 6 years (sold it recently) so thats where i got some JLR experience from.)
@@be1441 I would love to see a discussion on this topic between the two cars, is the BMW lighter with 500nm torque etc, which handles better, what’s it’s GT credentials the BMW has the bigger boot, 310 litres hood up. better folded down mechanism. Is the BMW suited better to small narrow roads and mountain trips.. being a much smaller car. How does the jag engine rev, as I find the BMW a bit flat at the top end. A young mans view will change as matures. Crackles soon become annoying and only existed as old cars couldn't control fuel so these noises are artificial and created. Great though to see the new gen loving cars.
@@be1441 With the exhaust switch ON mine isn't. It makes noise as hell but can be switched calm like a kitten. It still has the original ECU software I know. I always declined any updates. @@be1441 yeah if you pull fuse 43 when the car is off, the car won’t ever close the valves so you’ll get valves open all of the time. Have you tried pulling it yet?

Absolutely fantastic, this is what we like to see!
I love this colour
Those moments of last min bidding have your heart racing! Lovely car mate.
Was such a rush 😍
At last Ben, it’s good to see you and your channel back in a convertible where it belongs and I find the sound very socially acceptable.. 👍💯👏
Just found this, congrats mate and welcome to the crazy F Type family however long it maybe.

Stunning Ben 😳 wish I could accidentally buy one of those!!!!
Beautiful. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the MPG on a motorway run too.
Gorgeous car. 🤩 Pure class. ✨👌🏼
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this compared to your old Z4 35is.
Hard to say. I LOVED my 35is and would love to get behind the wheel of another one

Fantastic car Ben driven it all day today
I’m glad you like it! Enjoy
I love those Tornado wheels. I have the ugly Turbine wheels and I'm switching them out for the Tornadoes.
I guess this is why the R8 is on eBay 😄
Both cars are on eBay cause I can’t decide 😂
How much did u pay? It’s 2014 so 8 years old? Looks new!
Lovely car 🚘🚙🚘👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stunning!
love this ben
How does it compare to the e89 Z4 you had? Pros/cons?
I loved the 35is but the jags another league

Brilliant car👍👍👍👍
Love it! Race? 😉
Race ya for your log book? 😜
@@be1441 hahahaha 😂 time to strip my interior for weight then 😂
Sell both and then buy a SVR f type
Definitely keep the Jag over the Audi, way nicer!
Keep this. Please don’t straight pipe it. Sell the R8.
V8S is by FAR the most fun version 👍
Pull fuse F43, hooligan mode enabled all the time
I’m guessing the exhaust is still active even without the button? I assume so as it’s quiet under 4k rpm
Fuse pull not needed in MY '14 / '15. Just drive in Dynamic. Exhaust is then almost always open.
That has changed in later years.

"A gentleman spec" V8 🤌😂
Ah yes the V8 is a very *gentlemanly* engine😂😂
