My slp pipes on the ultra rmk i owned with boisen reeds and slp heads made that triple sing beoke a crank pin in her swapped a 98 700 twin in her still got the motor
I was a little disapointed in the sound my self. Just before Amber said it my son said "Dad it sounds just like your 700" A yamaha triple and two polars tripples on market place.... thinking about it....
Hey did you ever figure out the high idle? I just picked up a Ultra not long ago, didn't hold idle before but I got it running and it runs at around 3000 when started. It sounds pretty damn good when it runs but the idle is a concern. Wondering if you figured it out and if so what was it possibly?
@@fargonianproductions2767 im hoping it does, it kinda seemed like it would but it was a warm day already and I ran it for close to minute as is. It might be a carb boot just not seating right. I'll definitely give a update after solving it.
@@fargonianproductions2767 needed carb boots, slightest amount of dry rot on them. Just pulled apart the motor the other day while the pump is out being rebuilt.
My go to weekend rider is my 97 wedge ultra with single exhaust and a trash can of course. Great on gas and just a really nice rider.
I agree with amber that 700 Yamaha sounds better hopefully you keep that one at least long enough to make a few videos when the snow hits
Make sure you change main jets if you run those pipes or you will burn that triple down in a hurry

It had a trail muffler on it. Put 3 stingers on it then youll see

That whistling noise is the water pump , check the oil in the pump , it's a sign that the pump is on its way out .

Does it eventually idle down once it warms up? If it does then I don’t think there’s anything wrong

Put new fuel line that happened to me too before I had a bunch of ultras before
