Couple sleds Polaris didn't really build but should have.
I guessed that gen 2 XLT would have been 100lbs heavier. Pretty sure my 95 XCR 600 was 578 dry.
Recommendation, you need one work sled, hi/lo range, reverse, massive track.
I restored my 92 Widetrak LX a couple years ago. I use it as much as my '22 VR1 650.
I had that XCR 600 and a XC 800 that could have been donors to power it but I stuck with the 488 Fuji.
Would love to see the build, put respectable power in a Widetrak chassis.

I lost. I had guessed 560lb. Accidents happen. I bought an old 70's cat from the original owner. Ran like a top. It sat for a week and on Christmas Day I went out and pulled the rope and forgot to snap the throttle a couple times beforehand. Well, the sled took off and through the neighbor's fence lol. Dumb move on my part to forget...now it is the first thing I check everytime.

Hey Todd, thinking I might pick up an older Polaris to work on this coming summer. I am a skidoo guy but grew up on my uncles 86 Indy 600. There are a couple 95/96 xlt 600s near by in decent condition. 1400-1500 price range. Curious if there are any years to stay away from and what would be a good price point? Love the videos. Thank you!

Todd I just found a pile if Tripple's in my area, a 1,000cc ThunderCat, 3 Ultra's, and 2 Storm's, a 750cc and a 98 800. And I found 2 V-max4's a 94 750 and a 95 800. My wife is gonna kill me but I might be able to sneak one into the shop ornaments we already have, so which one would you snag? Thanks!...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠
