It didn’t need to be filmed. I understand that it shouldn’t have ever been said but why the younger generation feels the need to put people on blast I will never understand. Just because it’s a family owned restaurant doesn’t mean the employee was a family member. To me it would have been better handled by privately approaching a manager about what the employee had said. Influencers wield a lot of power and if the tables were turned I don’t think that he would appreciate his father’s business suffering over something an employee said that he was unaware of. It was in my opinion in bad taste to broadcast it.

As you can see, the negative press hasn’t destroyed them, people haven’t stopped watching, and they continue to grow. The younger generation uses their cameras for situations older generations would use their fists, and I think that’s a positive development. It is one of the greatest equalizers of power in the last few decades. A homeless person can take a video of someone attacking or mistreating them. A woman can take a video of men following or harassing her. A man being threatened by a group of stronger men can take a video. And yes, a young couple visiting a foreign country can take a video of a man who is being loudly racist to them in public. It has given people who would otherwise feel powerless a way to defend themselves from bullies, and I think that’s unequivocally a good thing.
