- Is it possible to make a NEW Pokemon Rom Hack in or less than 24 hours?
Well.. time to figure it out.
In today's Pokemon Video I will be attempting to make a New Pokemon Game, or rather, a Pokemon game made by a fan, which will be accomplished by creating a Pokemon Rom Hack! I will not only be going through and showing the process I went through, but also show what type of result I was able to reach in the time limit of 24 hours!

Dude i needed 24 hours to install a Randomizer and check the settings haha
First time figuring out how to play a ROM took a good while for me to figure out aswell.. :o
I think simplifying all the areas is a really fun idea!
Damn, that's impressive. I've been trying to get into Pokémon ROM hacking for many years on and off, but have never managed to stay committed for a decent amount of time.
Yeah coding is fun but getting over it is so quick such a great skill

hey played the hack, nice little version of kanto a nice alternative if you want a quick game. I have a suggestion for a video can you do suggestions from viewers to make sprites for pokemon?
Not a bad suggestion! I had thought of something similar where viewers would send their sprites or etc, then I would remake them :)

In 2014 I made my own romhack sadly I was still learning as the FrLg expanded engine did not exist yet

He mainly used Advance Map for map editing, xse for scripting and advanced trainer for trainer edits
i am also deciding to make a rom hack of my own

Is that still a Rom hack then, though?
At that point it counts as a fan game instead!
@@RetroNC yep I’m using and old version so I have animated sprites for the Pokémon and trainers though

It looks like the advance series, but if you wanna get into hacking seriously, definitely try to learn to hack the decomp. It gives you so much more freedom than binary hacking tools like the advance series.

i want to make a hack where at the beginning of each battle you must select the same amount of pokemon that your opponent has. if your opponent has o0nly 1 pokemon but you have 6, too bad for you. you have to pickl one of yours.
if i ever make a rom hack my autistic ass is giving EVERY house and Pokemon center a bedroom. oh, and maybe more buildings, and trees maybe I'll make the world less linear too?! I'm a sucker for realism! every addition of mine will be completely useless!

That's Advanced Maps, just search binary hacking tutorial Pokemon roma, you'll find videos which tells you how to install, use and make your own rom hacks

Don't do binary hacks anymore. The tools are old and buggy. Use the pokefire decompilation instead.
