That sketch was instantly one of my favourites from the whole TBS show. David's performance was actually really good for someone I guess was never on TV before.
I loved it when David said “This laughter makes up for my home life,” in the Conan replacement remote
What strikes me is that everyone who works for Conan, even Jordan Schlansky, comes across as solid, decent and real. That says a lot about the man whose name is on the building, even though he likes to act like a buffoonish tyrant... On a good day.
He hires GOOD people. And he takes very good care of them. Fully agree.
Their jobs are easy that is why they stick around. Sonya acknowledges she is a bad assistant and still keeps her job. Why would you leave a job like that ? I am not going to knock writers, its a tough job that takes commitment but it's not really that tough dude. Most of lettermen's crew stayed with him same with Jay Leno , same with Johnny Carson . Everyone is a comedian in life and being a writer gives you the luxury of being one without facing a crowd . Entertainment industry is a tough industry to get into , not because it's tough, because it's over saturated with talent.

I was watching some old "The Soup" shows from late 2007 and was surprised to see Jessie, mostly because I didn't know her until Conan. She was just as much of a delight in the sketches there!
