That's a pretty impressive demonstration.
Thank you so much!
I cant believe how much higher the hybrid goes!! Thats astounding
Yes, it is!
Thank you for supporting the channel guys! Drop in the comments whether you play hybrid irons.
You talked me into the Hywood, which has been a win! I let you talk me into the 5 hybrid which has been 50/50. Why? Still need my 5i to punch out of the woods!!! LOL! Not sure I am willing to admit to trying a 6H, yet. Great video and dual camera angle. Thanks!
Thank you, Gale! Related video coming soon!
If you have a 3 hybrid, try it for low punch shots. I choke down a little, hit down on the ball, and can hit a 125yrd shot that doesn't get more than 5 or 6 feet off the ground.
I been getting better success with hybrids lately. Although I grew up with long iron success, age has caught up with me and I am thankful that hybrids are in my ‘toolset.’ Enjoy you videos. And remember that, ‘footprints of golf are never made by not playing.’
I like that!
Good video MSH. I purchased the 6h last year (because of you…LOL). Hit it well for awhile then went south. I put the 6i back in. Will try it again this year. I liked the second camera on the green. Big difference between the two clubs.
Thank you so much! Some people struggle with hybrids. May take some practice.
Nice video. Just picked up Titlest TSi 4 and 5 hybrids and put away my 5, 6 irons. Smart move for all seniors. thanks
Thank you George!
Good comparison and options. I like the camera angle on the green for approaching landing! My irons are pretty strong so I use a 4 wood, 3 & 4 hybrids, and 6-PW irons.
Thank you so much Chris!!
Thanks MSH. You are really appreciated. "Hit'em straight "
Thank you!
6 Hybrid is one of my favorite clubs in my bag. The distance is much farther than I would think.
Very nice!
Really love your videos!! I play 3 thru 6 hybrids right now. I leave the 6 iron in the garage. Love my hybrids
Thank you for watching!
I need to hit a 6 hybrid now. My wife loves your videos also but not when I need to get another club. 😅 well done again brother!!!
Tell her it's an emergency 😆 🤣
Great excuse. Love it!!!! 😂 😂 still laughing!
We learn a lot from you!😊👍
I appreciate that!
I’m trying to decide which is the best option. I mostly play Links golf so it’s usually windy and hard fast running fairways.
Great video….
Everyone's different, but if you don't have a lot of forced carries, the lower flight of the iron may benefit in windy conditions.
I play seven wood. I like extra height and soft landing.
Definitely higher than the 4 hybrid and also longer. The Hywood is a blend of both with 7 Wood distance. Can't beat the height of the 7 Wood if you like fairway woods.
Interesting demo my friend. I just got a 5 hybrid but haven't been able to test it yet. Looking forward to seeing what that club will do for me, if anything. I have high hopes for it.
Very nice!
Great Video MSH!! I added a 6 Hy for this year, and have 6,5,4, 7W and 3W in the bag. Agree with you thoughts on hitting the 6 hy vs the 6 iron. Also dropped the number of wedge, to Sand, Gap and Chipper (Cleveland) and I believe it will change my game for the season. May I ask what putter you are using? Many thanks
I use my deceased father-in-laws clubs while staying in Las Vegas to help out my mother-in-law a couple weeks per month.
His set includes typical irons through six, then 4, 3, and 2 hybrids. I find the 4 and 3 hybrids to be as consistent as my personal 5 and 4 irons.
I am not ready to switch to hybrids on my clubs, but will keep using them while in Las Vegas.
Thank you!
This is just a sensible assessment. So many golfer are delusional with there distance. Playing there total number with roll out as there carry yardage. Whatta player.
Thank you so much!
Come on, we know as old men that the hybrid are the best. 😀 I have 4 Ping hybrids now and if they ever make an 8 hybrid it will be 5!
Thank you!!
I go back and forth between my 6 iron and 6 hybrid. They go about the same distance but the hybrid holds the greens better.
Yes, 6 Iron is tough when the greens get firm. Thank you!
6 hybrid every time! It’s more confidence inspiring, forgiving, high launch, and in the hole lol! Are you using a Cleveland Hybrid? Thanks for the comparison!
Srixon hybrid. Thank you!
I think it’s a confidence factor also I know when I stand over the ball with my 6 or 5 game improvement iron that at least 8 out of 10 shots will be high launching and within 10ish yards of expected distance, however my hybrids I don’t have the same confidence or control
Confidence definitely helps!
Hi, really like you're vid's, I'm in my 60s but have always been quite a long hitter, I find, for me, there is a cut off point from irons to hybrids and mine is 6 iron which I hit 160 yards. I find my 6 iron more accurate than a hybrid so my hybrids begin at 5 down to 3 where distance becomes more important which is harder to achieve with low irons these days
Thank you so much!
I go from a Srixon 585 6 iron to a Callaway Rogue 11 Wood.
Thank you!
I was told years ago, if your irons aren't stopping on the green after good contact, you'll probably find the apex isn't that high, therefore your swing speed is too slow for that loft of club.
True!
I play 2 I crossover (more forgiving than you might think) and 4-wedges. I find that I’m much less likely to hook the 2i and the 4i as opposed to a hybrid. I’m going to add a hywood or possibly a 2 or 3 hybrid to the mix. Instead of a 3/5w.
Thank you so much!
Ive been seriously thinking about adding a 5 hybrid to my bag. The older I get, the more I think its time.
I would have played hybrids when I was 20 if they were around. However, I always had a slower clubspeed.
Come tourney time, will you need a 165-175yd run up shot or a 155-165 carry and stop shot? I guess it depends on the course and what's in front of the greens. I personally like the flight of the hybrid, but if it ain't gonna carry.... I hope you're chipping well. Gapping vs course layout. Hitting both well though. Good illustration of what each club gives you. Thanks
The next challenge is elevated greens and a stop shot. I can hit the 7 iron low. Thank you Bradley!
@@mistahshorthitter sounds like the courses I played in Oregon...turtleshells. had to hit it high or a bump and run.
watching this makes me wanna try those full hybrid sets lol
I would love to get a set to review. I'm going to reach out to one of the companies again.
I use a 5 hybrid for just about everything.
Thank you!
No doubt that 6 hybrid made it easier for you to get that peek height … but when you step on that iron and hit the sweet spot it’s nice! I wonder what your release pattern you have … maybe that could give u more juice .., great swinging and thanks 🙏🏿 for sharing
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for doing the comparison. Can you make a video with the same clubs shaping the ball as well?
Yes!
It’s appears you are better with your 6 hybrid
Agreed!
Really need to know the lofts as a 6 can be relevant to the year of the club. I have a 4 hybrid that matches my 6 iron loft!!
Lofts in description of video
What are the lofts you're working with? My 6 iron has 32° of loft.
They are game improvement irons so the lofts are strong in the iron. The specs are in the description.
When you hole a 6 hybrid like you did MSH then it's GOT to be the club!😂
😁😁
I work on my hybrids at home, but on the course, I haven’t developed the trust to use them on real course conditions.
Thank you for watching Bruce!
I am better with my fairway woods and irons than my 3 and 5 hybrid. I cannot get my 3 hybrid consistently airborne and my 5 hybrid I seem to hook severely far too often to trust it.
7 Wood may be better for you. Thank you Bruce!
@@mistahshorthitter that’s what my son tells me. He wants me to get one from PGX. The same company he got his from. They are 100% on line. His best, most reliable club is his PGX 7 wood.
I can't hit 3, 4 or 5 hybrids, but love my 7 and 5 woods
@@marang1966 Very nice!
What is the difference in shaft length?
Specs in the description of the video
Just get a whole hybrid set now, looks like that’s where you headed. 😊😊oh kidding.,
Thank you so much! Not a bad idea 😃
I meant FOR money!
I get it😂
You are no longer gaming the Takomos?
Sometimes.
@@mistahshorthitter I just bought the 101’s
@@johndingmansr.5895 Very nice. I have some videos coming soon comparing sets. I think you will find it interesting. I didn't see a sale recently. Did you get them from my link?
@@mistahshorthitter I had both my shoulders replaced so my swing speed is not as fast as it used to be so I was looking for something to give me a little more distance, and I bought them based on your review of them
I was wondering because I put a link in all my videos for them
I like golf but it doesn't like me ?
Thank you for watching!
How can I become more consistent with my iron game
What are your misses?
@@mistahshorthitter a shot that comes out a little thin and a pull
You might be Mistah Short Hitter but I aint playin' you more money! :)
I just bought a 6 hybrid, never knew the Ping G410 made a 6 found a used one cheap, its great...same more forgiving and less likely to roll off the back. I do like my 6 iron for punch shots, will have to get used to the hybrid for that and also I can hit nice strong draws with the iron if I am over on the left side.
I'm going to do a video on punching the 7 iron. I've heard a lot of people say this. Thank you so much!
@@mistahshorthitter Did you ever mess with the Hywood, I was the guy thinking of carrying maybe the 4 as my longest off the deck club. I have a swing speed about 80 in that length, I was trying to find out total distance between the 3 and 4 Hywoods with 80 mph swing, to see if its worth getting one.
@@bmailb I am going to do a video on the Hywood soon. Would comparing it to a 4 hybrid help you?
@@mistahshorthitter I was wondering about the 3 hywood vs 4 Hywoods. I really need to find one I can test at a store I guess because I want to see which one will get max distance with 80 mph on the club head. I already like my 4 hybrid, and have a 7 wood that goes a bit further but is not as consistant. So in reality I am looking to replace the 7 wood with either the 3 Hywood or the 4 Hywood....if they are more consistant.
@@bmailb I'll see if I can get them for testing.
