      you don't need to go to temple every day. you can have puja place at your home where you can perform rituals, meditation is one of the best way with chanting "aum" for 10 minutes every day.

    • @triveditarunkumar
      @triveditarunkumar 6 лет назад +24

      VICT0RY0FTH3P30PL3 Theoretically you already are a hindu. You don't have to do rituals, attend spiritual classes, visit temples and worship idols to be hindu. you don't even have to believe in god to be hindu. you just have to believe that your ultimate aim is to do your duty which we call as our karma. if you are an accountant be a good accountant. Be a good doctor, lawyer or whatever your duty demands. The basic idea is that you will be judged by your karma. If your karma is good, even god would be forced to reward you weather he likes u or not.

    • @Siturambo
      @Siturambo 5 лет назад +15

      This is indeed a difficult question to answer because no answer is the correct answer. So you have to choose the answer which resonates with you the most. So l can only tell you what I think
      1. Once you start your journey towards seeking you are already Hindu ( which is Sanatana Dharma actually)
      2. Ask questions when ever you have any doubt about anything and go with the answer which resonates to you the most .
      3. It's not mandatory but if you get some time give Bhagabat Gita a try (for me that is one of the best book I read) it will answer most questions.
      4. Yaga (not just the stretching part) and meditation (I prefer meditation with OM as mentioned in the video) will help you connect with yourself in turn you will be well equipped to connect with everything else.
      5. Going to Temple(any Temple) is not mandatory but going there once in a while helps just because it helps to connect and brings a calmness .
      6. Carry on with your daily life and work by doing it with your heart (karma)
      Note : it's actually pretty hard to find a good guru( teacher) these days . So don't follow anyone blindly, just ask yearself once if your heart says what ever he/she says makes sense.

    • @GaSh_1101
      @GaSh_1101 2 года назад

      Aryan - Dravidian theory is merely a myth propagated by Brits to divide us - the people of Bhārata. It's 21st century guys, get out of these colonial myths/propaganda and try to research a bit. Latest Genetic studies have also debunked the same. And on the contrary, there're are so many proofs for out of India migration , that we went outside time and again and also established many civilizations out there(cultural similarities are an evidence of the same). There's nothing called as Aryan in Samskritam and Dravida is more of a term to describe a particular geographical location in Bhārata. We're all Bhāratiyas and are worthy to be addressed as an Ārya(an adjective in Samskritam to address a civilized,noble gentleman) only through our Karma and code of conduct.

      Hinduism is like elephant surrounded by ten blind men. I am an atheist and i met learned hindu priest once. when i told him i am an atheist, he told me, " no you are a hindu who does not believe there is god". He then narrated some verses from vedas which hindu consider sacred as bible, about saints who were atheist.I some time read how difficult is to be an atheist in christian and Islamic culture. The Vedic or Hinduism teachers, talks and talks on oldest books but !!!
      But never write a sentence from that holy scripture on board and explains it to support their claim.
      Think, Why ??
      Because none of oldest Hindu scripture are worth to be written clearly on board and explained.
      You visit 100 videos on RUclips or Vedic TV education, they all talk and raise and praise Vedas but, never write a single sentence on board and explain, nor talk how they are translated and intention of translator behind it.
      You check Any Hindu Scripture, that has volumes in size and out of each volume, not even a line is worth considering and can be called holy or sacred scripture from The Great God.
      Lets check yourself Rig Ved. Chapter ""Agni"" the 🔥 Fire: (let’s see the chapter explains fire?)
      I) Laud Agni, the chosen Priest, God, minister of sacrifice, The hotar, lavishes of wealth.
      (What is this trying to say ?)
      2) Worthy is Agni to be praised by living as by ancient seers.
      He shall bring hitherward the Gods. (Meaningless)
      3) Through Agni man obtaineth wealth, yea, plenty waxing day by day,
      Most rich in heroes, glorious. (Why the talk of wealth and dollars in first line ?)
      Does first sentence made any sense ?
      4) And these types of sentence continue until end of Rig Ved, which are hard to analyze and understand.
      Who is saying this ??
      Why He is saying this ??
      No introduction of Book or Hinduism or God or person writing this, make this book senseless.
      First line, he is talking of money/dollars why ?
      First line talking of money, declares intention behind compilation and writer’s concern about money.
      Think! What is the purpose of these sentences, what it means to us as humans, or to Creator of trillion of light years of universe God. These sentences cannot be understood by any and the purpose of God saying this totally unclear. Clearly it is not from God, not even from a educated, learned man.
      """Senseless, meaningless, purposeless"""
      How can these be form God ??

      My comment is a LONG one, and so I *REQUEST* you to bear with me.
      Please do not get carried away by videos like this one.
      This video replete with *pseudoscience;* in fact, _such videos bring a _*_very bad name_** to genuine science-oriented intellectuals of India,* such as Sir Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman, Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose, Aryabhata I, Bhaskara I, and Bhaskara II, to name a few.
      *Why this video is NOT science:*
      This video makes a long list of assertions and claims regarding certain "traditions" (i.e., rituals and practices); HOWEVER, the video does *NOT* support these assertions and claims with _credible, verifiable, _*_evidence;_* the claims have *NOT* been independently verified; the claims have *NOT been subject to **_falsifiability._*
      _Verifiability, falsifiability, and the reliance on credible evidence,_ are *_COMPULSORY_*_ components_ of a *_rigourous scientific method._*
      If a thing is _not subject to falsifiability, then it is NOT scientific;_ if it is not subject to falsifiability, then it is *something **_OTHER THAN_** science.* Therefore, the video should NOT PURPORT that these traditions are based on science.
      *Reasons that this video is pseudoscience:*
      The video *DECLARES* that the "traditions" are _based on science,_ but then it *FAILS to meet the criteria* of a _reliable scientific process_ (as explained in the previous paragraph).
      If the makers of the video are honest, they will NOT claim that these traditions are based on scientific principles and phenomena.
      *BUT video's makers **_do_** make that (empty) claim, and this empty claim is exactly what makes it **_PSEUDOSCIENCE,_** plain and simple.*
      Here are a few explanations of the *DIFFERENCES between Science and Pseudoscience:*

That I think is one of the main reason, for some of our traditional practices being seemed as more of superstitions. Most of the just follow, we don't really know much. Which was good too, we waited for our country to settle down to look into our customs more deeply. Atleast we didn't loose our traditions even after years of invasion and destruction. Now time has come to re-look at our customs and tradition more deeply. Thanks to internet, we have more people to answers our queries too, so we won't blindly follow it. Another phase of Sanatan Renaissance will begin, intellectual churning will take place, and soon we will take the good and leave the bad behind.

    • @ananyalal7950
      @ananyalal7950 7 лет назад +10

      Right now I don't think we believe in anything, we just do what we are told. Unless we understand Sanskrit, to read and write Sanskrit, read ancient books in it, like we are asked read English novels, we really won't know what our ancestors were trying to say. I don't understand if there is something called Western logic.There could be an identity that we are trying to copy. But that is fine too, as long as we understand our roots. That unfortunately will only happen when as a population we learn to interact in Sanskrit. Read Sanskrit texts in its entirety. Why do we need English translations to understand our own ancient texts? If we can learn English, we can learn Sanskrit.

    • @mohit1161
      @mohit1161 6 лет назад +2

      Ananya Lal Well I beg to differ with your statement, forcing this on youngsters was the only option left for our ancestors. We should keep in mind of the fact that these knowledgeable resources present in the current era weren't avaible back then. In those days poeple didn't have access to tv, internet or phone, or anything from where they can gain such knowledge, education was also a reason, now just think over it how would they come to know the scientific logic behind our traditions, most of these researches are carried out on recent years, how can you expect your parents to preach you about the scientific reason behind our traditional practices?. And now you'll some of the infos are already mentioned in our ancient scriptures, then you should remember that these were not easy to read and consumed so much time, and let me tell me you, life in those days was really hard and challenging as compared to current lifestyle with modern resources and ready stuff, in those times they had to work so much that today's generation can't even imagine, they always have complains about their lives but it's still so easy. It's not their faults these scientific reasons and researches are avaible in just 1 click but that wasn't the case in those days, even my maa didn't knew the scientific reasons behind she's born in 60's and neither did her maa knew about the reasons. The answer is advancement of technology and resources. Thank you for reading. God bless you.

      Since you have a doubt about how far Indian technology spans.
      The first detailed description of plastic surgical procedures is found in the clinical text on Indian surgery, the 'Sushruta Samhita' (circa 600 B.C.). Atharva Veda, the root of Ayurveda , the classical text of Indian medical knowledge includes two seminal texts, Charaka Samhita on medicinal aspects and Sushruta Samhita which incorporates details of surgical tools and operative techniques. Sushruta wrote this treatise based on the lectures of his teacher, the famous surgeon king, Devadas ('incarnation of Dhanwantari , the divine physician). In fourth century A.D. Vagbhat , an Indian physician recounted the plastic surgical procedures with more details than provided in Sushruta Samhita. In his book,'Ashtanga Hridyans Samhita' he credits the techniques to Maharishi Atreya. It is interesting to find mention of plastic surgical procedures such as rhinoplasty, otoplasty, tissue grafting, organ transplants, transfer of embryo, cross-grafting of head and re-attachment of limbs etc. in these ancient Indian Medical Treatises and Puranic Literature.
      This golden era of Hindu Surgery began its gradual decline from the time of Buddha (562- 472 B.C.). Buddhist scripture Mahavagga Jataka enforced strict prohibition on surgeons and Manusmriti prescribed special rituals for purification of surgeons. Contemporary teaching that time was basically medicinal i.e. Ayurveda, which forbade surgery, as contact with blood and pus was considered polluting. Hence, during this period, these great surgical skills were delegated to lower castes like 'Koomars' or potters who were known for their manual dexterity. They kept alive this valuable knowledge and passed it from father to son as a family secret. In fact India and Egypt are considered as the fountain-heads from which the stream of knowledge flowed to the middle east, eventually to reach Mediterranean civilization; the Greeks and the Romans. The ancient Indian medical knowledge was carried into Greece and Arabia by Buddhist Missionaries. The German, French and English surgeons were introduced to the older Indian method. During that period, certain German scholars who studied the original text in Sanskrit, British surgeons and French travelers, who saw for themselves the rhinoplasty operations performed in India, revealed the wonders and practical possibilities of this speciality to the Western world. It was, however, the discovery of anaesthesia (Morton, Long and Wells) and anti-sepsis (Lord Lister) which revolutionised the practice of surgery and made it painless and infection free.
      Modern plastic surgery in India started after World War II. During the war, there were couple of British Maxillo-facial Surgery Units and a special mention was made about them by Mr. Tom Gibson (Canniesburn Hospital) at Bangalore and by Mr. E.W. Peet at Pune, during their visits to India. This kindled the interest in Plastic surgery among a few young Indian surgeons working then with the armed forces as "temporary commissioned officers". After the war, two of them i.e. Dr. C. Balakrishnan and Dr. R.N.Sinha specialised in Plastic Surgery, while Major Sukh continued his interest in the speciality as a pioneer in the field of plastic surgery at the Armed Forces Medical College and Hospital, Pune. There was no existence of plastic surgery as a recognised speciality in the country.The first independent Department of Plastic Surgery in the country was finally created at the M.C.Hospital, Nagpur, in 1958.
      You probably don't know this i guess and yet you are here on account of your complex.

    This video is the need of the hour for this generation's Indians who laugh at our traditions and own the western culture blindly. Can you please explain these:
    1. Why do we keep lemon, pepper and charcoal outside the houses? (Limbu + Mirchi)
    2. Why do we tie the toes of dead people?
    3. Why do we not fully circumabulate Shiva Linga?
    4. Why do we not shave / cut hairs on certain days of the week?
    5. What is the significance of fasting on days like Ekadashi & Shivratri?
    6. Why do we need to offer rice and water to pitrus (departed ancestors)?

      We belong to an ancient civilization where our rishis some times criticized gods, fought with them, some time punished them, played with them beside respecting and worshiping them. We can never be like islam and Christianity which demands submission. As long as caste system had not became rigid, we were the biggest influence in religion geographically. our religion does not fear criticism.

      Thanks to the modern technology, like youtube (computers) you can learn and practice for you, in your own space. Trust me, going to India for THEN start practicing hinduism isnt the goal, the goal start in your own space, and the practice should be taken into your life and life style. There is so much to be learnt that arrogance will counter that, saying that you know enough, but it is a life long ( a way of living) so if you practice from today, little by little, in 10 years you will be someone else from today, and even if you go to india, you will also be more prepared for understanding deeper the culture.

Now, modern ppl trying to avoid to do those things. We must learn from our elders nd teach in upcoming generations about Hinduism. Of course, I'm also this generation.
