- It’s the final week before the IM 70.3 World Championships in St. George, so we got after it. We lovingly call this the pre-taper taper-a little less volume, but still maintaining the same training intensity. It’s a solid week with some good sessions: an open water swim in Aquatic Park, SF; aerobic work in the pool; tempo runs + drills and strides; sweet spot and race pace rides; and a little physical therapy to round it all out.

I love the fact these two trained through lockdown and are achieving spectacular results WITHOUT Zwift. I've watched a bunch of other Tri-tubers and literally every-single-one is Zwift racing. But Miguel? He's on an Amazon Kindle! Hahaha. Luv it.

Regarding the ITB section, you've shown a lot of weird stuff, it left me wondering if you've covered the basics? You have to strengthen your glutes.
Absolutely! Less fun to show on camera but definitely much more important. At PT we’ve been working to release tightness in surrounding muscles so I can properly activate my glutes when doing my exercises
@@FreestyleTri From personal experience with debilitating ITB issues as well as friends and team mates' experiences, the "myrtl routine" is the miracle cure. I was pretty sure you were already doing something like this, but just in case, I thought I'd chime in. Hope you get on top of it, good luck!
