Fun thing is they’re real cheap, not so fun thing, they’re not easy to find. There’s a lot of them, but they are concentrated in certain areas. I’d have to go 5 states over to get one, but then would be able to pick from 10 different listings.

I just bought a GSX and that's kinda how it feels. Compared to my Civic it's almost like there's a Supra in my garage lol definitely has that vibe. It's so big and swoopy.

Those gear ratios are short as hell thing accelerates like crazy

+Nathan Ziegmann highly doubt it weights the 3200lbs it did from the factory. People have got those 2g's as light at 2200lbs. its amazing what removing un-needed brackets, fiber glass, and carbon fiber can do.
+George Mahfood they aren't exceptionally short... he just throws them quick, one after another, due to the fast acceleration.
YszapHun Not necessarily short, but they are geared with very low ratios, or at least the awd manuals are. 80mph in 5th is close to 4k rpm, about 3.8 if I recall. I'm honestly surprised more aren't built for this kind of stuff. Those low gears really keep them in the boost. Building my 95 TSI AWD for road race/autox/hill climb.

I love hillclimb cars no matter what they use as a base vehicle, because the guys who build them don't f**k around. They build monsters with crazy turbos, anti-lag, widebody kits and when they're done, they race'em. HARD. Not afraid to wreck it. Definition of badass.

That car is stupid quick. Unbelievable how much grip it has through the corners, only time it got dicey was on acceleration. Incredible car.
He's driving like he's scared of the car. Such little throttle response coming out of corners and downshifting so early on the turns.. still a beast of a car.

most of its exhaust pop i believe, high comp + big boost with race fuel has that effect when your snapping the throttle closed & getting right back on it that often
Wow thats a superly built well made chassis.
All engine settings are made by mapping the ECU on a laptop. This includes fueling, ignition and boost pressure. But there are no standard or predetermined settings as all modifications and engine installations are different. The car has to be run on a rolling road so that the various parameters can be viewed under load, then adjusted as necessary. The final stage is to run the car on the road to check settings in actual use. It is a very skilled job that needs experience.
Its the anti-lag system. It injects fuel in the turbine so it doesnt lose momentum in lower revs. If you listen carefully, you can tell the system functions within the gear shifts and when the pilot brakes.

Man, that thing is dead flat in the corners. Beautiful.
Full adjustable sequential gearbox. They matched it for this track, short straights and many tight corners. So the car can put it's power perfect on the track. Our racecar has an adjustable gearbox, too and we change it for every racetrack we race on. (Sorry for the bad English, i'm from Germany)

Although this car is a Mitsubishi, it’s crazy how it doesn’t get considered as a true jdm car bc it’s made in Illinois. Still, this car is a 2 door evo beast

everyone whos asking about why the car sounds like it does and makes the distinct sounds that it does heres the answer.
theres acouple big main factors when it comes to how a cars engine will sound after its all said and done. Most important of all is the compression ratio, the amount of high compression engine modifications done, how the engines tuned with the fuel management mapping and finally the exhaust of where it all comes out of starting right from the manifold. It takes alot of parts and modifications just to get to the point of sounding anywhere like this but every single sound this car makes is no error and is a result of the high performance modifications done. Anti lag? Detonation?exhaust fume ignition? These are all just a result of the things done for the engine to perform as it does under the set up it has

I've always loved the subtle aggressiveness of the 2nd gen eclipse, it never really carried through to the later models.

very impressive cornering considering how hefty these cars are. It's obvious they know what they are doing! Suspension and downforce must be beautifully optimized.

GOD! It just sounds like it's snarling, shredding a piece of fucking meat with drool coming out. This is one mean sounding, looking and performing 2g. One of my favorite style cars of all time.

Just saw a pick of his engine. Dude runs a flipped Evo motor. The motor we should've gotten for our cars.
I saw his engine bay. He runs the flipped motor like the evo. Yes, both GVR4s/Eclipse/Talons/Lasers/Evos run 4g63s but his motor might be an evo 9 4g63 with Mivec.
