Such an interesting comparison with his 70’s vocal performances. The man’s such a huge, huge talent, who deserves his legendary status. His music has stood the test of time and will continue on long after he’s no longer here. We are blessed to have heard and witnessed such a talent. For many of us his songs have provided a backdrop, added character and joy, to times in our lives that are forever embedded into our memories. He has helped to make life not just bearable but at times uplifting and joyful, and I will forever be grateful to the man.
It was the summer of '75, I was 16 years old, the parents were out of town for the weekend so naturally the party was at my house. I can't tell you how many times we played the then new Captain fantastic and the brown dirt cowboys album but it was burned into my mind that weekend and anytime I hear one of those songs it brings me right back that special place and time like it was yesterday. it's really amazing how powerful music can be!
This song is totally amazing
Elton’s portfolio of songs is some of the best ever played but I gotta say this song is by far my favorite. It actually touches my soul. Maybe I’m a little obsessed but I listen to it at least 2 to 3 times a day.
Every now and again I listen to Elton John and Neil diamond I'm old but the other day on the bus I was singing I'm a believer on the bus then my TV broke but singing bus lol

I know he said recently in the press that Tiny Dancer was, and not surprised me. Because I know in the 80s he said that Madman Across the Water was not one of his favorite albums
@@jrod1986yep, there's a youtube short of him saying he has two favourite songs to sing, Someone saved my life tonight and Tiny Dancer. Said he didn't think much of Tiny Dancer until the movie Almost Famous when it renewed his passion for the song and now considers it his best song. Someone saved my life tonight is still my favorite ❤

I saw him at the Oakland Almeda County Colesium in 2000. He and Billy Joel had a performance, OUTSTANDING!! It was about 3 and a half hours long, but it was the BEST concert I had been to in YEARS!! I tried so hard to go to his LAST one here (in Northern Ca), but it was to far out, and I didn't know how much it would have been to go there and back on Lyft
I think this show happened in 2001 actually , Elton didn’t tour with Billy in 2000
