Nice cut Steve. This type a tool is my most used of all my power tools. There is not a application it cant be used. I have a better brand which just allows you to cut faster over this, but it will get the cut. I had to piece out a floor in a RV damaged by water that Only effected areas not the whole floor. I Cut the rot out and held new plywood over cut area and used this tool to piece in every cut out area. Its a slow process, but the perfect cutting allows everything to drop in for a perfect tight finish I then placed new flooring over plywood floor, never could it was ever cut up. RV worked fine but guy gave it to me because the Rv labor was to costly to pay someone to repair. So for 400 in materials and 2 weeks work rebuilding but I sold it for some nice cash. This tool was why it turned out so nice.....Its great for cutting out new outlets in sheet rock too and place new outlet boxes up.. Last month at my daughters house in Nashville I had to cut floor in laundry room to run out dryer hose.. buzzed it right out.
Very good demo. I bought a similar tool from harbor freight from the drill master brand- the 4 1/2” angle grinder that has been very useful and is very powerful. It’s a quality product that was really affordable. I was intrigued by all those cuts you made on this demo.!! Way to go! You have skills brother. I had no idea about this tool and I’m so glad I watched this demo!!
I'm becoming a fan of Harbor Freight. I was skeptical about buying power tools from them, but so far everything I bought has been great. Today I bought a headlamp from them for $2.99... it's a headband with a flashlight attached. What a nifty product... and for $2.99!! I should've bought one of these 30 years ago! LOL!
Yeah man. I was always a Craftsman guy but I think the quality may have dropped since Stanley Black And Decker bought them. Sears used to have good lines... Craftsman and Kenmore was good stuff. Bummer to see Sears go under. I just started buying from Harbor Freight a little over a year ago. I'm a fan. Bought a lot of stuff from them. Even small stuff... chisels, pry bars, etc. Cheaper there than Lowes and Home Depot for stuff like that.
@@stevekonbass that’s exactly right. Save so much money. I know what you mean about Sears and companies like that, it is really sad. All of this merging and buying out has definitely hurt quality. It is a different world now. It seems that profit is above everything. I’m glad we got to grow up when we did.
Mine didn't come with that or the screw that you tightened at the end of attaching it. Can that stuff be bought separately because I got mine from the clearance rack. Now I know why it was such a great deal.
@stevekonbass can't do that it was an inherited item. I went to Ace, got a screw and the screw &washer it worked for about ten minutes. Then the blade that Harbor Freight sold me on Friday is now like a butter knife. It was for concrete, drywall, and wood. I am using it to remove title putty, and it is no longer usable. I have to go a hr away from home to get harbor freight to replace it. Thank you so much for posting this. I need all the help I can find for this project. 🙏
The putty will gak up the blade. You might have better luck with a heat gun and putty knife. That's what used to get extremely hard old caulk off a tiled shower wall. Here's the video: ruclips.net/video/IjWCO0_6RAg/видео.htmlsi=2awDNAgMudshbM2-
I've been using my oscillating tool for couple years and I went to use it recently and for some reason the screw will not stay in and the blade keeps falling out. I even put a lock washer on it and within about one to two minutes the screw comes loose again. I just can't figure out why that would happen when it's been working fine. The screw and the beveled washer are the only two things that should be holding it in. Any thoughts?
Hmm... the only thing I can think of is maybe you attached the washer upside down or maybe you didn't tighten the screw enough with the hex wrench. Or, maybe the blade isn't lined up with those tiny pins.
@@stevekonbass I think I figured it out. I finally found a video that pointed out that the little prongs that hold the blade in place can get worn down and so the blade isn't catching on to those prongs properly. When I looked at mine it's obvious that they are worn probably from not tightening it enough I don't know.
Hey Steve! This is where I figured I could reach you at because it didn’t have many views yet. I am still having trouble with learning about my R16 and it’s stressing me. Could we possibly Zoom call and you give me a live tutorial. I am a teenager building my home studio
Don't stress brother, you'll get it. Go to my website and email me there about what you're having trouble with. But for starters, start small. Record a 30 second piece of music and experiment with the machine. Get to know everything about it. If you try to record a full song without knowing the machine, then you'll stress yourself out. So, record a little something that you don't care about just as an experiment and use it just to discover what the R16 can do and allow yourself to make mistakes and to experiment.
Thank you you help me figure out how to use this thing
Glad to help.
Best video I've seen on this tool yet! Thanks. I couldn't even figure how to attach the different heads but now I get it!!
You're welcome! Hope you get good use out of it.

Yeah man, I should've added this tool to my arsenal years ago. Really useful.
I am looking for the Backing Pad with the velcro for my Oscillating Multi-Tool made by WARRIOR..
Does anyone know where to find it???
Thanks...

@@stevekonbass I know right. That is a great deal. I love getting quality stuff for a low price!

Too bad we didn't have the R16, internet, and technology back then, right? LOL.
Was the flange something that came with it, or did you buy it separately?

Flange came with it.
Harbor Freight is pretty good with returns if you have your receipt. I'd take it back and get another one. I still have mine. Great tool.

Where can I find a replacement for the part that the blade sits on been looking around for it no luck?
I gather you're either talking about the flange or blade adapter. You can look on Amazon.
