I feel seeing a broadway play is a fantastic event for your kids. One of my fondest memories is seeing On Golden Pond with Mia Farrow and Anthony Perkins on Broadway. Also have taken my grandchildren to many off broadway musicals here in Seattle. Lion King really stands out, such amazing costuming. My granddaughter’s favorite part was how the little boy grew up before her eyes in the play. Warms my heart
You will never regret spending time with your kids. The only thing you will regret is NOT spending time with your kids. You are a very good father in my opinion. I would give my soul to have a parent like you. Yes you make mistakes. Yes you show us who you really are which makes you so darn endearing, even when I get irritated at you. 😂 We love you Dave, even on your worst day. I am 62, female, diagnosed ADHD in my 40's, before it was cool. Not medicating for it. So...know your channel draws in us oldies!
We are twins. I didn't struggle with ADD until adulthood. School in the late sixties and all of seventies was very structured, which helped my brother and I. We were both top of our class and school was easy. Marriage and children kept me pretty structured, but after the kids left, it was harder to stay focused.
When I was in college, my family visited NY and di exactly what you're describing. Walked around, took the subway, statue of liberty, empire state building, etc and ended the day with a Broadway show. Amazing memories. Even if the grumble on the day, I do believe they will hold those as great memories for years to come. Don't doubt yourself, you're a great dad.
I am from NY. Depends on what part of NY you are coming to, depends where to go for something to do. If you are goig to be near Alexandria Bay, you REALLY need to go to Boldt Castle!! You can do The Uncle Sam's boat tour around the 1000 Islands. It is a VERY enjoyable trip!! My daughter was just there the end of June. They had so much fun!!!
One thing I would recommend doing and it's right on your way either going to Connecticut or coming back from Connecticut would be to stop off in Virginia and visit the Luray Caverns. It is this absolutely amazing cave system that blew my kids away. It was one of the coolest things I've ever done with them.
I’m really glad for the trips we took with our kids back in the day. Even if they didn’t immediately appreciate the “extras” they will in the long run have good memories of all of it. Maybe good memories come with maturity and age. I think so. You and Tina are making good memories for you both and your family! ❤
I moved my kids to the city when they were 5 and 7 - save two years that I moved them to London. They are now entering Uni, and could never envision living anywhere else. We're down in FiDi and absolutely love it. The Seaport is a really nice area if you haven't been. Also, since you are going to see Hamilton consider getting dinner at Fraunces Tavern. It's older than the country and served as the Founding Fathers' "watering hole." - one could even say "the room where it happened."
Justin Sells talks about the phenomenon of touching an item in inventory one day and selling it the next! You just affirmed the phenomenon! Keep striving and thriving Dave!☺️👍🐿
Check out Knoebels Amusement Resort in the Pocono Mts in Pennsylvania - there is camping near by and they allow dogs in the park, so Molly can go. Also, it is FREE. You only buy tickets to ride what ever rides you want and their food is rated some of the best theme park food there is.
I’m just finishing up a full inventory of my listings and I’m ruthlessly pulling long tailed items and selling them local and planning a garage sale at the end of August. I also did a complete revamp of my inventory system. I feel your pain but hopefully this helps get me organized. Keep hustling my friend
Dave your coming to my neck of the woods?!!! I suggest to do the NBC Tour. You can see and tour the place with a page guide. And can see 30 rock. I also suggest Summit One Vanderbilt. Its the new way to see the city! Welcome to the Jungle.... 🙂
Hey Dave:) I’ve been watching you religiously since the pandemic. I don’t ever comment on videos (except for this time). I Love You & your family. You have entertained & yes, even educated me during my reseller times. If I were you, I would NOT go to NYC!! It is NOT the beautiful, safe city it once was:( My wife has to go to her office in Manhattan 4 times a month. She has a 15 minute walk because the subways are too dangerous. No joke here; Literally on her walk to the office one day recently from port authority, she encountered, not one, but two homeless people (separate incidents) pleasuring themselves, wide open in public view. It’s a GRIM city now!!! I know you well enough, through watching you on RUclips, that you are going to go anyway. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! Love & prayers - Kurt❤️
My first experience with the kind of panhandler that tells you " My car just broke down I need money for a can of oil" was in a bus station in New York! ,,,read that again.. lol.. That was my very first memory from there anyway.
Absolutely take your family to see Hamilton on Broadway! I took my Hamilton-obsessed kid to see it for her birthday years ago, and it was an amazing experience for both of us. Great memories! Just bring tissues - I’m not usually a crier, so was caught woefully unprepared.
Absolutely take your family to New York City and a Broadway show. Like it or not, they need the experience. This is not only spending time with your family but you are also investing in their future.
Launch your older drafts and replace with new listings. They also start being deleted after a fairly short period of time. Go to new york! It was a fabulous experience for this westerner. I LOVED the city!
That eagle looks like one I bought for my brother - look on the back and see if there are two screws where one of the wings meets the body. If so, you can break it down somewhat for shipping,
200 drafts! Keep pushing forward! You have really been getting things organized and sales have increased! Oh yeah the golf club..... Man you are paying to just get it back.
Maybe if we all comment "Dave, start using a SKU system for your inventory", he'll actually do it! But seriously, that one tiny extra step would make your life sooo much easier brother!
Sorry, that as a kid living in Toledo OH all you did was go to Cedar Point. I grew up in that area and there were lots of things to see and do around the Toledo area besides Cedar Point with all its rides etc.
Dave, turn on request RMA and then eBay will not auto-generate a label until you click through the RMA request. It can save a lot in the cases were you would rather just refund the money and not return the item. FYI
Dave, I don't think you would be who you are if you didn't make mistakes! One of the very reasons I like your video's is to see what kind of mischief you have yourself in! Have a great time with your family on vacation....
I can't remember who said this but when they listed stuff while on vacation, it did not make it into the vacation mode. When the items would sell, they would need to be shipped within 24 hours. Might have been Kevin. Check just in case.
You can message the buyer and tell them not to send it back and just refund them. If they don't use the label, eventually USPS will refund you the label amount.
That’s probably exactly what the buyer wants. They may have had no intention of shipping it back. There are people who specifically look for items with free shipping free returns that would be expensive to return.
Dave Dave Dave…as an Aussie I have been to New York City twice. Just have to say not sure Hamilton is the right Broadway show for the kids (hopefully not a night session).Saw Hamilton here in Brisbane and it is sooo long that I could hardly keep my eyes opened. Number of people left at intermission unfortunately. Something free you could do is to take the Ferry (down near the twin towers memorial area) and go for a ride over to Staten Island. Couldn’t believe it is free to do that and you pass so close to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Have lunch at the other terminal then catch the ferry back. It really was something great and enjoyable to do.Oh but don’t buy a pretzel from the vans near the terminal…big rip off. Enjoy your holiday…will look forward to any videos you may or may not do on parts of your holiday.
You can get them cheap dinner. New York pizza is notoriously affordable and quite delicious. Or shawarma. At least they’ll like that and I think they’ll love Hamilton. Everyone seems to.
@@twinnish Agreed. Also do not eat in any of the tourist trap places in Times Square. There are way too many mom and pop owned places in that area that are all 1000x better than the Corp owned junk in TS. A NY slice is hard to beat though. There are few really good local spots within walking distance of the theater. One of my favorites is Joe Allen's right on 46th. I go just for the banana cream pie. It's a real treat. My wife has me bring some home at least once a month.
LOVE the ADHD definition. I am cleaning my bathroom, moving packing material, checking flights etc. all at the same time. I just keep circling back to everything 😂. I could starve to death on my way to the kitchen to get a sandwich. 😅
We took our kids to the pyramids and they were not griping! They did not even complain when we went to the antiquities museum. I mean, there was king tut and mummies and who could complain about that?
It's funny how excited "I" get when you sell an oh snap. Knowing it's basically all profit! Do you think your buddy will get you more of them when you run out? I didn't think you'd ever run out when you got the last bunch. Lol 😂
Me, watching this video and see the Pusheen unicorn I bought from Dave pop up at the end, with him struggling to find it. Look at the thing as it sits on my desk: "were you being a problem?"
You could have messaged the buyer to not bother sending back even though the label was generated BECAUSE it does not charge you unless or until the label is used.
What is your plan on getting into NYC? If you're pulling a trailer it's going to be very difficult bringing that in and parking in midtown. My suggestion, as someone who commutes there 3x a week and has an office a block and a half from the theater Hamilton is playing, park in Pearl River, NY and take the trains in. I suggest parking on a side street (Washington St is probably best), walk the block or two to the train station and take the train to Hoboken, NJ then transfer and over to Penn Station about 8 blocks south of the theater. You may pay a few more bucks in train tickets but it will save a ton of frustration over bringing and parking a large vehicle with a trailer into Manhattan. Which will cost you well over a hundred dollars to park anyway.
@@jeanmixon5401 there are at least 5 train lines that can bring you into the city with dozens of stations on each. It can be very confusing if you are not familiar with them. I was giving him a tip that may help him.
@@robsomething4435 It was very nice of you to give him tips on what trains to take. I just thought you didn’t hear him say that he was taking the train. I hope you enjoy watching Dave as much as I do.
Oh forgot to say..when the ‘credits’ come up at the end of your video, you need to correct ‘Chanel members’ you have the word members incorrectly spelt..😊
They are just getting the golf club for free. People are just ridiculous! If they dont use the label I think you dont get charged so you can tell them to keep it Dave.
