Follow me step by step while I fill out the 'Advance Travel Information for Travelers' called D’Viajeros. This 'Customs and Health declaration' form must be completed online 48 hours before traveling to Cuba. D'Viajeros: www.dviajeros....

Awesome information, learning in 4 months, this will help big time,. Just wondering if now we as Canadians still need to fill out the paper forms they give us on WestJet flight before we land in Cuba, or is this the new way now?
The D'Viajeros is a customs and health declaration form, you must still fill out the TOURIST CARD (tourist visa), the latter is given to you on board your flight to Cuba.
Am I allowed to bring in to Cuba a new tablet(electronic device) without having to pay duty?

Yes, this part is optional. Only the data marked with a (*) are required.

Does your middle name on your passport go under the second name field, or first name, or do you not include it? As well, is it better to fill out the vaccination section or just skip it? Thanks
Yes, the middle name is the second name. All names that appear on your passport should appear on the D'viajeros form. Personally we always fill the vaccination section, but this section is optional.
OK, so I'm bringing a camera and a cell phone. They're mine. Do I have to declare them? Or is this referring to "imports" as in "intending to leave them in Cuba"?
No, you do not have to declare your personnal belongings, only the things you intend to import into the country.
Just wondering, with this new entry form, do we have to declare how much money we are bringing for tips.
No, unless you are bringing more than $5000 USD

Travelers country of origin, we are English living in UK but flying from Spain.
We are staying in Havana for 3 days then Varadero for 7 days. what do we put on the form.
Countries visited in last 15 days, we fly from England to spain, not leaving airport then on to Cuba, do we include that.

Country of origin: UK
The name of your first hotel (or homestay) in Havana
Country visited in last 15 days: none (because you're only in transit in Spain). Have a nice trip!
So is this new simplified form the only thing required from Canada-no other separate visas?
The D'VIAJEROS is the new Customs and Health declaration form. You also need a Tourist Visa (aka Tourist Card), it will be given to you on board your flight to Cuba.
For Americans, we should choose Visit or Tourism as Travel Reason?
I'm not an expert on Cuba's entry regulations and I always travelled to Cuba as a tourist, but I think that the "Visit" option is for someone visiting family or friend and will be staying with them. But just to be sure I suggest you check with your travel agency (or tour operator) or with a Cuban Consulate or Tourst Office.
Travel to Cuba for tourist activities remains prohibited by US. However, this form is for Cuban authorities, so I will just choose Tourism as travel reason. Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this helpful video. I am bringing a small bag of babies clothes to donate to a family in need. They are used but in excellent condition, do I need to declare this ? If so, how do I figure out the value in US funds or pesos ? I’ve looked at the form but still not sure, any help is appreciated
The form indicates that you are authorized to import up to USD 1,000 worth of miscellaneous items (clothing included). We are not experts in Cuban customs regulations, but we know that people generally do not declare these types of gifts and simply pack them among their personal belongings. But even if you decide to declare it, you should have no problem.

The form asks "Items you bring with you or in your luggage" It has "Drugs, narcotics drugs, psychotropic substances". If we have our regular medications do we need to select it? And do we need to select "Toys" when we are only bring in about $30 CAD worth of toys? Also we are staying at an AirBnb for the first 5 days and then an all inclusive after words. Do we just enter "House or room for rent" and exclude the hotel? Thank you for your assistance.
Hello, you don't have to declare the things you bring for your personal use, including medications, toys or any of your personnal belongings. For the place you are staying, you could either choose room for rent, or select the name of the All-inclusive resort in the list.

You are allowed to bring up to a value of $1000 USD of miscellaneous (gifts).

Yes, you also need a tourist visa, known as the Cuban Tourist Card. If you travel from Canada, you will receive it on board during your flight to Cuba. If you traveling from another country, check with your travel agent, tour operator or airline to know when/where the tourist card will be provided to you.
Is my personal Ipad considered equipment that is to be declared?
None of your personnal belongings should be declared, electronics included. Have a nice trip!
Hi, as per my passport I don’t have last name(I know it’s messed up). My whole name is printed as the first name. Since last name is required in this form, can i use my first name as last name too?
If I were in your place, yes this is what I would do, I guess. Upon arrival in Cuba they just quickly scan the QR code and usually not compare it with the passeport
The form asks if we have been to another country within 15 days, if we have been to the Dominican Republic right at the 15 days, would this be an issue? Thank you in advance.
I am not an expert on Cuba entry rules. but I don't think that would be a problem. I think they particularly want to know if anyone might have recently traveled to a country where there is a notice to avoid non-essential travel for public health reasons, to my knowledge this is not the case for the Dominican Republic . Bonjour, je ne sais pas si vous êtes canadienne, si oui, le visa touristique (aussi appellé carte touristique) est le petit papier vert qu'on vous remet dans l'avion (comme toujours). La seule chose qui a changé est que maintenant il faut remplir en ligne le formulaire D'Viajeros qui est une formulaire de déclaration douanière et sanitaire. En résumé: 1- vous remplissez le formulaire D'Viajeros dans les 48 heures avant départ et vous imprimer le code QR, 2- vous remplissez la carte touristique dans l'avion durant votre vol vers Cuba. Rien d'autres à faire. Si vous voyagez à partir d'un autre pays, vérifiez auprès de votre agent de voyage ou de votre ligne aérienne pour voir si la carte touristique vous sera bien remise durant le vol. Bon voyage!
i am not going to cuba til apr 5th but today march 23 as a trial i filled out info...i was sent a form with my gen info and a QR code...why would it generate this so early??? do i need to edit it and fill out again over 48hrs prior??? confused
Hello, that's strange indeed, it's not suppose to work. Normally when you select the date of arrival in Cuba the calendar gives you only 2 choices: the date of the next day and the day after, I don't understand how the form let you choose April 5th.

Yes, this is another document, the D'Viajeros is a Customs and Health declaration form. You will receive your Tourist Card (tourist visa) on the plane.
On the second form, after "Travel Reasons" what do they mean by "Institution"? Anyone know?
If you choose Business as a travel reason, then the institution box is where you enter the name of the company.
Do you have to fill one out for children too
As far as I understand, a D'Viajeros form must be completed by all travelers 10 years or older. In the "Customs Information" page they ask "No. children under 10 years of age accompanying you" (see minute 4:55 in the video). According to Cuban Customs, minors (10-18 years old) can import goods (excluding alcoholic and tobacco products), that's why they need their own form. Hello, That's strange, have you try to Edit your form? After you completed the form you received a code (usually 8 letters and numbers), with this code you can go back in your form to make changes.
