That site, and, it's videos are absolute rubbish! For a start, those presenters want to portray themselves as speakers of not only British English, but, as verbal representatives of no less than actual Oxford English (English, which, in fact, as it happens, is supposed to, be, the highest level of typically well spoken, and, correctly spoken, British English), when they, themselves, are either not even English, or, speak American English with an American accent!! It is a total scam!! I am, in fact, as it happens, from, England, and, I find that video, as an English person, wholly offensive as that video, and, site, are deliberately misleading, and, are, clearly on "youtube!"! only to mislead, and, possibly, to not tell the truth, to those, who are, genuinely, wanting to improve their British English!! - Totally abhorrent!!
Hi Pamela, we have a lesson on talking on the phone which might help you. You can use some of the phrases from Part 2 - How to Make Formal Phone Calls. You can see the lesson here: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/talking-on-phone-english.
This isWonderful. As an English teacher for hotel programme of vocational school, I think this is very usuful and helps my students understand what to say.

Hi there. We have many other free resources on our website which may help you: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/free-english-lessons, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/resources.
I don't get it. Why would anyone learn English if they can understand what these guys are saying? Shouldn't the language training be given in the target audience's native tongue?
English learners and speakers have very different backgrounds and circumstances. Someone might have learned English as a second language but lack certain functional skills, or vocabulary for specific situations (e.g. checking in to a hotel, or complaining about something). In any case, it's up to viewers to decide for themselves if our videos help or not :)
Thank you so much for your videos !!! I enjoy it and I`ve learnd many situations in hotel !!! It´s Great, your canal !!! I like it !!! With love !!! 🥰🥰🥰
For me, as a student in hotel and tourism management, it's really helpful, but it would also be nice to talk about useful expressions for the receptionist in those situations.
I’m working for a front desk in Japan and we have many guests whose 1st language are English. This video is so useful and I need this kind of videos more! Thanks!!!
Hi Malek. Hotel: An establishment that provides lodging and usually meals and other services for travelers and other paying guests. Motel: An establishment which provides lodging and parking and in which the rooms are usually accessible from an outdoor parking area I'm not sure what 'Loconda' is. Inn: An establishment for the lodging and entertaining of travelers (often including a tavern). Hope this helps you!
I'm afraid I don't understand; the explanation is more general and brief, it didn't focus on the exact difference in terms of the type of building and services that characterise these buildings from each other. (Some services are commonly found in all of these which is confusing.) In addition, you should include others like resort and some vocabulary that I might not know.
Goodmorning im so glad to your channel your excellent its so clearly the vedeo thanks a lot for your kindness and thank you for your charing the both of you
than you for providing us with such a wonderful lesson. I am going to do internship at hotel, so it's very useful to know how to communicate with the customer!

Hi, what's the clear difference between Hotel, Motel, Loconda, Inn and other names if any?
Hi Malek.
Hotel: An establishment that provides lodging and usually meals and other services for travelers and other paying guests.
Motel: An establishment which provides lodging and parking and in which the rooms are usually accessible from an outdoor parking area
I'm not sure what 'Loconda' is.
Inn: An establishment for the lodging and entertaining of travelers (often including a tavern).
Hope this helps you!
How about Resort and Lodge?
