Just two days ago i decided to make my hotel's reservations online, because i gonna travel abroad soon. I was excited because a found good prices, so i paid everything in one morning, by card. One hour later, i noticed that i made a really big mistake. I Changed the dates! Almost all the hotels asked for a expensive charge to cancel or change the reservations. I think i'd lost about 1000 euros. So i tried to fix my mistakes. I emailed the hotels asking to have some mercy and to forgive the charges, and i prayed to God :D. Fortunelly, the owners forgiven my debt, and so i was able to buy the right rooms, in the correct dates. I've never been so afraid in my life, but God saved me at this situation. I'd like to thank you for all help that you offers to us. This channel is the best on you tube. I've been learn a lot with you in the last 3 months, studying everyday. Thank you a lot!
Thank you very much, Daniel and Marie, for your interesting topic. I want to show my admiration for the teaching skill that Daniel has presented the topic here. I felt very pleased to hear his voice and see his body language. I think he is not only a teacher but also an artist at the same time. I have watched this clip 9 times and now I will watch another of your topics. Thanks again.
I am studying Australia and this video shows the conversations which are close to 99% of real life scenarios when you go shopping in an English-speaking country
Something I dislike when I go shopping is; when seller has agreed to sell something to me for a certain price then he/she denies to deliver it to me just because it appears to be cheaper than he/she expected. This had happened to me one day, I wanted to buy a *tv* but unfortunately that seller was out of stock for that moment, he called someone else if he had one of the model I asked him. Fortunately there were two sizes of the same model I wanted, he gave me the price for both, but what he made me angry was when he came with the products he wanted me to take the small one with the same price that I had granted him for the bigger one since he found out that the price was a bit cheaper than they got used of selling that product. Thank you for your videos, they surely help many of English learners.
Thanks you guys.I love this video very much.As a girl,I don't like going shopping. It lets me feel very tired.Instead of shopping in the mall,I prefer to shop online. But shopping online will take a lot of time to choose what you want.Maybe the one you bought doesn't fit you.
l am watching this video now. It is usulful for me l think that l will learn a lot of think from you . This channel help me l improve my English skills and l do practice thanks for everything ❣️
i like online shopping because i dont like the crowd in local markets also i remember i bought a top from a local market without trying it on and when i got home and tried it on it did not fit all the money i spent on that top was wasted. so now i prefer online shopping since it is easy to return the product if it doesnt fit or look good on me.
The things I like shopping at the mall is, there is so many things to do, many choices, many items, many brands that you want to buy and get all at one place. You can try cloths that you want to buy and don't need worry about getting wrong sizes. You could also negotiate the prices. But in my country, all the shopping mall they don't gives like refunding.
Hi Ashik. Thank you for watching the lesson and sharing a great response. Here are some corrections for you: 1) 'The things I like about shopping at the mall are...' not, 'The things I like shopping at the mall is...' 2) '...there are so many things to do,' not, 'is.' 3) '...get all in one place,' not, 'at.' Hope this is useful for you!
While shopping the toughest things that I find are choosing clothes , negotiating the price in front of others, carrying the bags uff that all takes biscuits.
I think I've never had a problem when buying something from a store, but once I bought a PS controller from some guy on Facebook, then tried it out and wasn't working properly; I asked him for a refund and he wouldn't gave me my money back!!! (After he'd say he would if I wasn't satisfied). After some time he just ignored my messages and ran out with the money hahahaha Lesson learned always try out your electronics before paying!

They asked me to show the receipt that they gave me when I bought this product and I showed them but unfortunately the rice I was looking for was just stocked out.
Hi Abdalla. Thanks for watching and sharing. Here are some corrections for you: 1) '...buy a variety of things,' not, '...buy variety of thigs.' 2) Did you return a 'bag of rice' or 'a box of rice'? 'Rice' itself is uncountable so we can't 'return a rice'. Hope this is useful for you!
Yes , i did have a problem. I went to the local penny (it's a small shop) to buy some sugar and lemon juice , but i did not find them anywhere. i asked a worker but this didn't help 'cause the shop was that bad.
