The Ryzen 3 7320u actually uses the very old Zen 2 architecture. It's a 4 core/8 thread CPU.
The Intel CPU is a 6 core/8 thread CPU with a much newer architecture.
It's way faster at every day tasks.
Not sure how they stack up at gaming, though. The AMD is probably better, but they are both integrated and APU laptop chips, so they are both bad for gaming.

They are not meant for gaming anyway.

@@fibrahimi MAYBE since it has less cores/threads, but ya gotta admit, Intel is really good at making efficient laptop CPUs.
And look, I'm not an Intel shill.
I have an Asus B550-F Gaming WiFi II / R9 5900x (PBO/per core CO/+200mhz boost) / 2x16GB DDR4 3666 C16 dual rank RAM @ 1:1 IF / 6700XT 12GB w/ SAM enabled.
I like AMD. It was my first custom build (a s754 Athlon64 3400+ (I still have that CPU and mobo lol, just not in use, it's in some closet in my house). I feel like they are more for the people, but I can't deny that Intel makes great CPUs, too. And USUALLY they tend to be more power efficient. It could be because AMD will use APUs and Intel will use just a CPU with integrated graphics (HD630/HD730) which is far weaker and draws less power.
I'm just saying, I wouldn't be surprised if the Intel CPU here idled at lower wattages or did menial tasks with less power than the AMD rig. Edit: ESPECIALLY since the Intel CPU is newer architecture and the Ryzen is using Zen 2 architecture (like Ryzen 3400/3600/etc. level architecture).

Base clock speed is never an indication for CPU performance under load.. in fact lower the base clock speed the better the cooling. Intel always has a low base clock and the performance is similar (eg: i5 12400 vs Ryzen 5 5600).

I guess the conventions are based on extensive testing. Semiconductor manufacturing & rating has risen extensively in the last 30 years and undergone multiple levels of ratings. So i guess these notions are trustworthy with a slight margin for error
