I love these take offs and landings. Impressive and great fun to look at. I am an old club- and sailplane pilot. Also motor and model flying. But it looks risky to me. Chances are big that belts and structure of the plane will be tested in some way against the trees. Off course hope and pray not !! And if it happens I guess the risk of bad injuries is quite low- right ?

Not my strip or Savvy but its a 912 Rotac 100HP and the length is about 170metres total of which about 130 is usable. Not for the inexperienced.

I would never attempt this. And I have landed in some pretty sketchy places. Tree vs plane, the tree wins every time.
