  • Hi team
Its Christmas time again so lets get creative. While scrolling trending videos in early November This year, I came across Ken WIngard's DIY Nutcracker Soldiers tutorial on how to make a life size nutcracker soldier, as seen on the Hallmark Channel

So after watching the video which seemed rather achievable I clicked that a good friend of mine is obsessed with nutcracker solders, therefore I will build her one for Christmas.
Armed with some new found inspiration and a quick trip to the shops, these were the items i used.
X4 Small plant pots - for the shoulders and feet
X2 Large pots - for the body
X1 Medium size pot - for the head
X1 Tall pot - for the hat
X2 Polystyrene balls - for the hands
X1 Sheet of blue cardboard - for the shirt
X1 Feather - for the hat
X1 Pack of coloured match sticks - for the shoulder tassels
X1 Roll of double sided tape
X5 Cans of spray paint - Pink, Red, Blue, Black and Yellow
    X2 Tubes of Silicone
I also used some items I already had like screws, electrical tape, cable ties and an old sign that was painted blue as the base of the nutcracker
Unfortunately I only watched Ken WIngard's DIY Nutcracker Soldiers tutorial video once in around early November and just kind of made it up as I went along but the general concept is the same..
