The Sims is a series of life simulation video games developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. The franchise has sold nearly 200 million copies worldwide, and it is one of the best-selling video game series of all time. The games in the Sims series are largely sandbox games, in that they lack any defined goals (except for some later expansion packs and console versions which introduced this gameplay style). The player creates virtual people called "Sims", places them in houses, and helps direct their moods and satisfy their desires. The "hamster starved to death but is fine and gives everybody the neglected child moodlet" is a well known glitch in a very functional game, don't worry.

I have a sim who never leaves the house and doesn’t like people. So the gate is always locked and she gets her social from talking to plants. But what I learned is that you can put down a mailbox outside of the gate/house and another one inside and the mail person will deliver it to the outside mailbox and you will receive bills inside of your mailbox.
Huh, didnt knew gaining social from talking to plants was an option. I doubt Kevin would have taken that option though, since growing plants just takes too much work. Same with your mailbox idea. Its very clever, which is why he never would have come up with it. Plus, any sensible idea that makes his life easier goes entirely agaisnt his way of playing games and just generaly his way of living.
@@pedrovallefin8406you have to be level 3 gardener, but there’s also a hack I’ve learned to gain more money. Buy seed packets and open them, then you put all of those plants in your household inventory and sell them for retail price. I make $150 for every $35 packet I buy.

Jim got seriously lucky he didn't die of any of the extreme reactions he kept going through (especially Enraged). Also, literally calling and chatting with someone gives you a nice chunk of Social without spending very long at it. Usually two calls will fill up the bar for me (but then I also don't let it get super low). The only down side is it doesn't work during sleeping hours, and it can get weird with vampires because the game seems to count them as vampires during the day (asleep), and humans during the night (also asleep).
You can also chat on the computer, at anytime not just during the day

I love how Kevin himself is a background character in the Kevin Cinematic Universe lol he is just out there somewhere on his own
Most of the time he is at his computer contolling Jim... see it's a reality loop.
Gotta love how his simself consistently fell out of view despite starting as the main character of his own series. First he became a co-protagonist with Jim, then he became Jims dad in a weird meta take, then he became a suporting character for Jims cult shenanigans, and now he just entirely dissapeared from the narrative. He doesnt even reach background character status, the way Kevin forced him into the story makes him something of a special guest. Kevin now only amounts to a cameo rol in the series he used to be the star of. Which was really the series he stole from Jim when you think about it. So this is a truly full circle moment for them.

I raised 7 toddlers to adulthood with Agnes crumplebottom underground once, i made basically a utopia down there with fake grass and walls that mimic scenery, and some rooms mimicking house exteriors. It was really fun :)

I actually made this challenge long ago.
Started with 5 kids, a toddler and a teen and never allowed them to leave the bunker
This went out for a few generations because they weren't related (and thanks to the realistic swim mod a few of them drown and kept liberating the 8th space)
Eventually I was down to two males from the 7th generation who both died of old age

I always have a robot(servo) just in case my last sim dies just to bring them back with Ambrosia(bot is a maxed out cook/baker)
There is something so funny about the constant messages about the rodent having some super deep lore or something
Sims and stardew are like the crispy edges on a brownie. Or the soft center peices if that your jam. Like the whole pan of content is fantastic, but then occasionally, you get your favorite type of piece, and it just makes you a little happier.

Hey Kevin, if you're dealing with frame rate issues just open the settings and close them again. For some reason the sims has this problem where the frame rate will lower after entering a popup menu.
I've noticed it happening to me only when switching between live mode and build&buy, but yeah opening and closing the save menu fixes it. I've seen some people think that you need to save to fix it, but just entering the menu is enough

For me it only works sometimes, but my PC is pretty garbage. Also clicking the arrow button in the inventory works sometimes too
@@madisvlogs3992 i have a high-end laptop and frame rate issues still happen for me but turning off online features in the settings also works wonders!
If it still does not work just click save and exit out of the menu
I like how everything is beige in Jim's basement house. Even the butterfly picture above his bed. Also, I LOOOOOOOOVE that Kevin's sponsor is The Sims related, it is perfect. The only way it could be more perfect is if Kevin was dressed as Jim Pickens.

When I was a kid I used to trap my mom sim in an isolated environment from everyone else while she was raising the baby so that my dad sim doesn't get in a bad mood from the constant crying and has a better chance at getting a promotion. Now that I look back at it I realize how I would've made the perfect commander in Handmaid's Tale and that doesn't sit well with me.

I wonder if Kevin is ever going to do a finale to the Jim Pickens series. Maybe Jim encounters all of the characters he has met (most of them are dead so maybe as ghosts) and reconciles with them before he dies one last time. Heck, maybe he dies trying to do something good, like the time he killed the motherplant in StrangerVille. No immortality, no revivals, just the end. If Kevin really wanted too, maybe he could continue the Sims by playing Jim Pickens Jr or something.
I love the series, but if it has to end, I would want it like this. My opinion though.

Couldnt go any other way. After all, he locked himself in the basement, so there have to be someone in the basement locked against their will. Otherwise the basement would lose the purposse of his existence. Cause, as we all know, basements were created by the dear leader to keep his prisoners locked up underground. Its just that some people, lets call them the unbelievers, forget thats what basements are for.
