You can apply the credit card with Alaska credit card which can give you 60K-70K miles. Purchase their milage with up to 60% . This is a quick way to get the milage easily.

About the mid-flight meal, I had a similar response from the FA who let me know breakfast was happening soon when I ordered it. I just said I wanted to try it plus the breakfast! Haha. Miguel, just came from Madagascar. It was roughing it out, but was fantastic nonetheless! I'd like to fly to visit Zermatt, Palau, and Oman soon, too! I am back in Taipei in a few days and I'm gonna try to check out Chun Shiu Tang for boba as my flight from SFO-TPE did not have boba service. Looks delicious!!

Exciting New Life experiences are always worth it. Starlux is an exciting, sincerely happy airline to fly with. By mid-2024 they'll be flying non-stop to Asia from Denver, complimenting their non-stop flights from Los Angeles..
Thanks for the helpful review on Starlax! The door, PJs, and blanket is appealing but the service and food doesn’t seem that great. That lavatory right next to the business seat… like 😮 @Miguel, were there any kid toys for your younger girls? That always makes Monkey happier when she gets something. She got something for China Airlines, Eva Airways, and Korean Air (Econ) this recent trip.

@Serena - I am from Guam and echo everything you said about Palau! A true gem and I've been several times. While you're there, please make a pit stop on Guam and stay at the Hyatt Regency (a category 4 which means you can use a free night certificate!)

Hi! Thanks for listening! When we first booked Starlux last summer, availability was widespread with multiple seats. Nowadays we are seeing just 1 biz seat released for each date. As you get closer in on the flight date, sometimes more seats open up. We recommend setting an alert on seats.aero to notify you when more seats become available. We hope there will be future award dumps with multiple seats available in the future!

From US to/from Asia - typically 1 seat far out, if that. They release more seats, sometimes 3-9, very close in...meaning 2-4 days within departure. The best thing to do is set a seats.aero alert to help you monitor for the dates you need.

We did Zermatt a few years ago as a side trip from Milan. Beautiful scenery! I felt Zermatt was like ‘ a little piece of Heaven!

How far in advance can you select seats on Starlux? My trip isn’t until end of this year.
We're seeing some Starlux availability through the end of Feb 2025. You can search on seats.aero and the Alaska Airlines website.
