Great review! I was looking toward a different tent in the same style, but you've got me looking toward the Northgaze now, and I'm glad to hear it's an honest review with no backing, though they ought to be paying you XD
Wow. I knew it would be portable. Not THAT portable! Would love to hear back after some testing with condensation and ventilation in hot or rainy weather Would it be a bit suffocating? Amazing video again Andre. This one is definitely going to be a future purchase for me 👍 will suit the colour of my Jimny more than yours 😉
Mine was extremely bad dripping from the top, I’d put it up in the UK east coast left it in rain for half hour. Got back and to touch inside was saturated and dripping on my head. There’s big gaps where the doors are, so plenty of ventilation. I’m trying to deal with the company now, they telling me it’s from condensation and for me to do home testing using a bucket with water over for 8 hrs. Which I don’t seem to be a fair test, it’s supposed to be 4 season. My advice is if you going to buy it it’s not 4 season.
Test conducted in my house which the company told me to do, I can confirm my tent leaks, it was wet again on the the other side with a tiny puddle in bucket. So No Onetigres! It’s not condensation. Let’s see what they come back with now.
I got a refund. Please anyone reading this if you buy from them, test your equipment prior to going out with it. You need to be sure your kit is SAFE for you to use.
Hey, nice review. Short question - i got my northgaze yesterday, but maybe the northgaze "canvas" is a better option for me? It is not flamable and thicker.. Of course it is much heavier, but portability is not a point, because it is for fishing and i can transport it in the car :) negative point is the rain.. just 350-400mm waterproofed. Your version has 3000mm. why did you buy the "normal" version?
I’ve got 2 other canvas tents and just wanted something simple and lightweight. This tent works well for me. If you get canvas one just make sure to season it and the rain won’t be a problem. The water head rating is misleading on canvas tents.
@@TheMidweekEscapeArtist thanks for your answer! Yup, the nylon tent is very lightweigt, but i think in my setting it doesn't matter, because i have the Petromax Loki 2, this stove is not foldable and about 10kg. So the weight of the tent is secondary.. Do you think two fishing-beds (or camp beds) will fit in the Northgaze with a stove? Or maybe i need the Rock Fortress?
Why or what is with the difference in material between this one and the rock fortress? It says this one is only Nylon compared to silicon Nylon on the fortress?

Not in my experience so far. ;-)

Does it sag much after getting whet?
No. It doesn’t but you need to put it up properly as per any tent.
Thanks!@@TheMidweekEscapeArtist
The tent stove won't melt the material at the port?
No. That’s why it has a stove Jack not just a hole cut in it. These things are designed to take the heat.
Which bergen is that please?
Mardingtop 75
Did you buy this or is this an ad?
