thats an interesting tent set up for an awning, does it handle strong wind? I have a similar awning but I dont put it up in strong winds it makes too much niose.

Pellets are much better even burn times seeing you trying to top feed pellets while it's going sheesh? You trying to look silly or what iuse a small metal trowel or tube to feed mine save burning your hands pellets burn from the top down best air draws thru the un burnt pellets and feed the flame better

Can you test warmbond mini it can use more types of fuel and maybe it's a better alternative with mesa xl

Nice tent,ive just bought the 4 man and used mine 1st time at the weekend,unfortunatly it leaked from the seam at the bottom of the tent,shame as i liked it

It really is important to peg them down ... and pop those guy lines in. I had a really good double skin pop-up which I didn't bother to tie down and along came a spontaneous storm. I ended up looking like a kite flyer as wrestled the darned thing back to the ground (mine had been a 3 P sized thing so it was ridiculously large). Then came the comedy of folding it back into the bag in the storm ... but, it went up very easily! I like the size of this one but like you ... not sure a pop up will make it to my kit again. However, I will peg the next one down properly if I do buy one!

Man, I'd love to have that weather right now. Its been 90-110°F heat index for a few weeks now in Virginia. I can't wait for the temp to drop so I can head back out to go camping.
