I am so blessed to have Seen him in local concerts. A lot of Them were to raise $ for policemen and firefighters My husband and I were blessed to meet him after a concert. He was so super genuine humble , sweet and attentive. He even remembered to put my two favorite Gospel songs On a CD later on!! It was so great. Hubby wanted to take a photo of us but so many people were waiting and he had just given an astounding concert, I didn’t want to take up more time but now I wished I had of. It's always sad to lose such an amazing talent, but these people are actually still with us through their work. They leave it all behind for their fans to enjoy; and for newer generations of people to discover and enjoy. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that people will still be listening to B.J. Thomas and enjoying his music for the many years to come; that's how great of a talent he was. Thank you for everything, Mr. Thomas. You will be very much missed. ♥️🎵
The music of bj thomas was gentle and sweet, sad and happy, romantic and more more more and all in simple songs and to everyone, i am almost 58 and i love his music, my son is 23 and he loves his music, when i listen to his music i'm in piece with myself, thank you mr thomas and rest in piece.
He wasn't underrated! He was a huge star in his day, all over the radio and TV! Maybe you just never heard of him before, or just learned. Lol! 😂 Rest in heaven, BJ. Thank you for all the good music! 💖
Playing some of his tunes on You Tube now w/ our morning coffee. Awoke with one of his songs and searching for it, can't remember the title...will find it, after another coffee. Loved his music, and yes, it does indeed help chase away the Covid Blues !
Raindrops Falling on My Head which came out in 1969 was one of the American songs I listened to when I was growing up in Taiwan. It's interesting how a song can give a child a sense of what another country might be like and the dream that one day he could go visit and see that country. It happened for me. And today I am living the American dream in my 50s. RIP Mr. BJ Thomas. You might be gone, but your songs live on and continue to touch many people.
I was in the Republic of Vietnam fighting communist. B.J. lived across the street where I lived in Euless, Texas when he was a nobody. Thomas was a great artist.
Great comment....best I have read in a long time. Congratulations on fulfilling your dream!! Rip to BJ...may God save and rest your soul...you were a great talent and sang so many songs I grew up with.
Same here. I was a kid growing up in Zambia. My Mum bought the record and my sister and I sang along to all these beautiful songs. We watched The Brady Bunch on Zambian TV - and dreamed of one day visiting America. Subliminal images in children's minds. RIP Mr Thomas
Wonderful voice. Extremely handsome. You brought Joy to me for decades. I went on Daddy Daughter date in 1973 to see Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid. ❤ I especially always loved that date, my Daddy and You, BJ Thomas 💞Rest in Peace🙏💋

Somewhere between '84 and '86, I won two tickets from WMMS in Cleveland by being the ???# number to call in to the radio station, to see BJ on "The Knoll", in the Cleveland Zoo. This was a promo concert for his upcoming show in Cleveland and was limited to 20 winners, each with the option of bringing a friend, thereby limiting the crowd to 40 people. the morning of the concert was beautifully sunny and warm. At the moment my wife and I were leaving our home, I noticed the six-foot diameter beach umbrella I kept behind the door. I grabbed it and told Wifey-poo I was gonna take it with us. Of course being a Redhead she immediately protested that I should leave it at home. I took it anyway. We arrived at the Knoll and the weather was absolutely beautiful as the crowd assembled. After a brief wait, BJ came walking up the lane onto the Knoll carrying a guitar case and a folding stool. No sooner than it took for him to get set up a large dark cloud loomed in from the West in typical Cleveland fashion. The first wave of rain came pelting down as I opened my, "Don't bring that stupid thing" umbrella and put it over BJ so he and his guitar wouldn't get wet. BJ in relative comfort asked the crowd if they wanted him to still perform and to a person we all agreed he should. So as I held the umbrella BJ went through his set as the crowd got soaked by the rain. As BJ sang his last song, Raindrops Keep Falling, the dark cloud passed and so went the rain with it. Everyone, except BJ and I were soaked but that didn't dampen any enthusiasm from the crowd. BJ thanked me along with everyone in attendance. Except Wifey-poo, she had an attitude because she too had to stand in the rain. Too bad Bitch! We divorced in '86. I have been a HUGE BJ FAN all these years and I will miss him for as long as I live. RIP my friend. Raindrops in Heaven Brother, Ronster

The greatest gift an artist leaves us with is a fond memory. B.J. Thomas had so many wonderful tunes that will be with us forever. So many tender memories that connect us with a special time in our life. Rest In Peace Mr. Thomas, you did it so well.
So many wonderful people are moving on :( :( But I agree with the writer below , that B.J.
