    This video was awesome and now I wonder how many times I've been ripped off in the past. I'm eyeballing my tape now and wondering if each one really measures 110 meters. I bet they don't. Great job with this yall

      Tape is usually short also but not as bad as the bubble wrap. With tape you have to watch what mil it is. Some claim to be the same length as others for the same or cheaper price but the quality and adhesive sucks.

    Thought I would follow up, we checked ours this morning, we order 8 300' rolls of small and 8 188' rolls of medium about every 6 weeks so this was a bit concerning seeing how far off some of these were... We offer from a local supplier and pick ours up (reduced rate for us). We measured 2 of the 300' rolls this morning they came in at 294' & 292', measured one of the 188' rolls and it came to 183'. Video suggestion: Packing peanuts! I have ordered packing peanuts in the past and have also seen a huge difference (less peanuts now). I order 300 gallons and I really think they are doing the same thing (shorting the buyer). I ordered from supply hut and received less bags as promised and returned for money back. Then I recently ordered from zoomvalue (found out it was supply hut) and was scammed with 9 bags. I contacted them (was very upset) and told them I found out they were supply hut and have been down that road before with them. They shipped one bag of packing peanuts, but it was also small. We are getting less than what we ordered in packing peanuts too.

    Not surprised at all that Supply Hut was in last place. The last 2 times I ordered with them I had major issues. The last issue was when I needed boxes, as I was very close to running out. It took over a month to fix the issue, and the only way I did was to make a claim with EBay. They never even sent out the boxes either. I reached out to them multiple times and they kept giving me the run around. I will never do business with them again.

I feel pretty good that the Scotch Rolls are probably accurate or really close. Years ago I compared the Scotch brand at Sam's to uline... which is probably the most expensive way to buy. • @brianhenry2385

    Measuring Wheel: you mentioned it was new, but to start your test you really needed to check your wheel. You should have taken it over to a hard surface (paved road or parking lot) and marked off a distance of say 100’ using a tape measure and run the wheel against a known standard length to confirm your wheel was accurate. Then mark the hundred foot off on the grass and checked the wheel on the grass to make sure the wheel itself was giving you a true reading. Otherwise your test isn’t as accurate as it could have been for all the work you did. But it’s still a great topic and video.🙂

    • @bizarresale
      @bizarresale Год назад +1

      If you have to calibrate your measuring wheels, then I suspect you can look forward to creating a video on how badly measuring wheels are off.

    • @brianhenry2385
      @brianhenry2385 Год назад +1

      Most measuring wheels, like so many other tools coming in from China, have a tolerance (or error range), so if you are going to use one to get an accurate measurement, it's good to check it first, especially if you're going to use it to check someone else's work, like those who make bubblewrap. But more critically, how does it do on a hard surface, vs a grass lawn. I suspect, since the wheel uses friction, there is an even bigger variation there.
      Have you ever checked your 3 or 4' levels, or 25' tape measures before starting a job building job, to see if they are actually accurate? Levels get knocked around in the trucks, so they get out of level frequently. Old tools used to be able to be calibrated or were adjustable, but new tools (like levels) seldom are. Put any 2 side by side and you will see a variance. If one carpenter is calling out measurements to cut interior trim and a second is cutting the trim on a miter saw and the installer is complaining that the boards are consistently a bit too long or short, likely the two tapes are off by that amount. Bent tape tips are usually the culprit.
      Now, having said that, a measuring wheel's error might explain why the American Bubble Boy was nearly the proper length, but I don't suspect any operable wheel that goes roundy round should result in a vender coming up 20% or more short on the advertised length.⚒🙃

    • @Ir-of4zn
      @Ir-of4zn Год назад +1

      This suggests to me, regardless of the wheel possibly lack of calibration, that there is a "stinking rat." The consumers, once again, are being ripped off.

    • @brianhenry2385
      @brianhenry2385 Год назад +3

      @@Ir-of4zn I couldn't agree more. If the wheel had been checked against a better standard on a hard surface, like a road and varied a bit when moved over on the grass, viewers would say OK, a bit of variance, but not that much. But the huge disparity when the bulk of the rolls were rolled out and checked, means consumers are being short changed significantly and the fact that all the venders were short, to varying degrees means it's an industry wide issue.

    Great video and thanks for showing us the huge difference in the measurements as it looks like most of us have been paying too much for a smaller amount. American Bubble Boy is the best overall for cost of goods and will use them for the future as cost is cost when your shipping every penny counts towards your profit and loss

    And the last roll is (340 f + 343 f + 338 f = ) 1021 feet x 0,12 f = 1225,2 SF that makes 1225,2 SF - 1050 SF = 175 , 2 SF MORE ‼ for the money !!

    Thankfully I’ve only received positive reviews about my packing jobs. Anyway, I think you have something unique here with this series.

    I was introduced to Supply Hut from another seller's praises on his channel and the three times I've ordered from them there has been an issue. The last and final time I ordered from them it was a case of #5 padded envelopes and the padding literally only went halfway up the inside of the envelopes! The top half of the entire case of envelopes was completely unpadded! Last week I ordered a case of 50 #5 from Amazon Basics and there were only 48 in the box. I can't imagine how much bubble wrap I've been cheated out of over the past 20 years. Makes you sick to think about it.

      Supply hut shorted me on boxes twice, and once they were not the right size. I got 25 instead of the 100I ordered They refused to answer my emails, so i had to file a claim to get my money back! I know another ebayer with the same issues.

      I see some comments saying close enough and thy are happy with close enough, well short is short even by a foot, as a seller I have buyers check items, after they receive, never when they are buying with magnifying glasses look for imperfection just to get some refund if not all, they should be exactly as advertised, when I sell something by size or weight I always give a little extra, there's no reason these companies can't guarantee its quantity, even giving 1 or 2 sheets extra for good measure, just my opinion, you don't have to agree

      @@williamgonsalves215 I was checking counts on supplies because I wanted to give my business to someone with your ethics. Big sellers all shorted me in poly mailers and bubble. Threerb and ecoswift are big sellers, but short each order I bought. One of them sent me like .25 through paypal when I messaged that they shorted me. They sent it as a payment, so I had to pay fees on their "refund" and one actually said, "it only amounts to about 50 cents" but it's just wrong!
