    Brad, I agree with all 3 points you mentioned on how to improve on paintball. Regarding point #3, “watching people who are better than us”, I guess it would be a good idea if you could add some analysis of your game footages. I mean, we can see all the guys you hit, and all the situations where you have been shot, during your game footages, but it would be nice if you could explain on the background, what took you to do that decisive movement, which allowed you to hit somebody, or what you did wrong, and resulted on your elimination of the game. We that are beginning on the sport could learn a lot from these real game analyses. It would be like a virtual training on your point #3. You could invite some of your friends, who have different styles, to do these footages and analyses also. In my opinion it would very pleasant to watch real game situations explained in details by the people who played them; but not only pleasant, it would be different. Do not see many people doing that.

    As far as self-improvement goes:
    The difference between pro players and the average player is : pro players Invision a move and then they act on it , whereas the average player Invisions that VERY SAME MOVE , but are to afraid to try it.... So they never know that "SAID MOVE" , is possible .

    #PBQT What would you consider the minimum tournament setup? (D6 or D5)

    • @jasonshort3047
      @jasonshort3047 5 лет назад

      I know it's been a while, but for those still wondering, I would pick something that can shoot the tournament required firing mode/ rate reliably. If you're on a budget, an older ego or dye/proto will do just fine. Just learn to maintain and troubleshoot and make sure you have the essential replacement orings. A good mask, used carbon fiber 4500 tank, reliable loader such as a spire, rotor, or Halo, pod pack that can fit at least 5 pods comfortably, barrel swabs, pod caddy, good cleats, and padded pants. A good head wrap and rags to wipe hits off in between rounds is also very helpful. Hope this helps!

    where do you see paintball going in the future as in terms of products, at some point guns and mask can only get so good untill companies are repackaging the same thing. also what future concepts or inovations would you like to see come out of the paintball industry

      Paul Lopez I don't think there's really a stopping point. Because look at phones for an example. There's always something new about them. Same with paintballs equipment. The EVS already came out with a HUD Display, a lot can go from there. So can with your markers, the boards, etc. I heard some people say it's a dying sport but I see it still growing. I believe it hasn't hit it's peak yet. You can always bring something new to the table.

      Until they get electronic targeting systems and balls that have memory shape mechanics. The targeting system will automatically calculate all the variables, adjust air flow and send an electronic signature to the ball. The signature will manipulate it's shape for the perfect trajectory.

      This is old as hell, but ya.
      It depends on where you're at, just like anything that is skill based.
      PRML's tip is solid, but doesn't apply to everyone, IMO. A lower level player doesn't know WHAT to focus on. What use is being able to have the muscle memory to snapshoot/lane/etc. when you have no clue of the flow of the game, basic teamwork, etc.
      Beginner? Just play. You need to get the feel and learn by playing a lot. Beginners should focus on improving solely by playing, and observing. These are the most fun methods, and will encourage people to go further, rather than getting bored and giving up because spending 10 hours on drills didn't do anything to actually make them better.
      Intermediate? Play a lot, but focus on improving certain things while you play. Don't just blindly play. You get better by focusing, and working on what you're weak at. If you ALWAYS play to your strengths in games, your weaknesses won't improve.
      Advanced? This is where what PRML's tip comes in. It can benefit everyone, but it'll mostly benefit advanced and intermediate players more-so than beginners. Advanced players already have a solid grasp of the games flow, and the basics. They know what they need to work on. They can figure out what their weaknesses are, and focus train on those specific things, such as snap shooting, leaning, etc. If you're an advanced player, you're looking to improve, not JUST have fun. These drills aren't typically very fun, they're solely to improve, but it's what advanced players need to do.

      DukeCityPaintball But you still need to practice! You think basketball players (or any pro athlete) just sit at home and wait till an actual game to learn everything? No they go to *PRACTICE* and do team/individual drills to perfect their craft...

    • @o.lworldwide6313
      @o.lworldwide6313 5 лет назад

      I disagree that’s like telling a young basketball prospect to just play a lot of basketball in order to prepare for D1 ball. Drills are such an important part of development because doing drills in any sport will help you focus on areas that are weak. If you just “play” then often times you won’t be able to scrutinize your own game and really focus on the areas that need improvement.

    What is an LPR (Low Pressure Regulator) used for and why is good if gun doesn't have one? (Force)
    Does the same work for HPR's? (High Pressure Regulators)
    Do all guns have Solenoid Flow Restrictors or just PE?

    • @RobPhifer
      @RobPhifer 7 лет назад +2

      All modern markers will have an HPR which is used to regulate the velocity of the paintballs being fired from the marker.
      Some paintball markers also have an LPR which is used to control the speed/force of the bolt's movement. (Or in the case of an autococker to control the bolt's movement and the force by which the marker attempts to cock the hammer)
      It is neither good nor bad if a marker does not have an LPR. Some marker designs require the use of an LPR to function. (Typically stacked tube poppits like Autocockers, Egos, G6Rs, Cyborgs, etc) Spool valves generally do not have LPRs but several companies (Bob Long and Dye) have utilized LPRs in their designs. Bob Long's more recent markers (Insight, Onslaught) have not utilized LPRs. It is a matter of tuneability vs simplicity/reliability.

    I have a Gtek 160r on the way, and I was wondering...what hopper/tank should I run if I want a light, and fast speedball setup. I was looking at the virtue spire 200 hopper but I'm not sure if it can keep up when I'm shooting on uncapped semi, and I was also looking at the ninja carbon fiber ultralight 68/4500 tank. In your opinion, would this setup work, or if you have a different hopper/tank in mind, what would it be?

    • @PaintballRuinedMyLife
      @PaintballRuinedMyLife  7 лет назад

      Lightest tank is going to be the Ninja SL 45/45. The Spire is a great loader, but a bit slower than some of the others. The best value for fast hoppers right now is probably the Z2 only $100 and feed as fast as anything. To me the more important thing about tanks is how it feels on the gun, for the the 45 and 68 are to short. I like the SL 77 and Empire Ultra 80.

      Work on sliding if you are gonna play dorito or snake. Honeslty tho it comes down to game sense and aim. It’s really just fundamentals like aim and sliding, game sense, communication etc. If you have air and paint and somewhere to shoot just find three things to shit at and just go back and forth shooting them and work on snap shooting

      Im not really a fan. I think in the used G5 price, I would look for an Axe or Mini GS.

      +Paintball Ruined My Life Or a used DM6/PM6/Shocker NXT/JT Impulse. All top of the line and are still able to compete with more modern markers
