August 2024 Google Core Update - I lost half my website traffic overnight!

- The recent Google core update happened on 15th August 2024 and yup, I was hit pretty badly. In fact, I lost over half my website traffic overnight! Will it come back? Are people losing trust in Google because it is favouring AI blogs or forums that bring them profit over genuine travel blogs?

hey, I also saw huge bumps yesterday but now is going well! Please don't lose hope, it might be temporary. Google itself has said that during updates publishers may face problems in their traffic. I'd recommend waiting for 15-20 days. Don't forget to update the results!

Well a little update from me - a month later and traffic still dropping!
Google keep doing a great job... Reddit is up 40% and the rest are staying the same or going down even more... No hope.
I completely agree! That's one of the reasons I'm just putting all the efforts into my RUclips channel now. I believe I've got more chance with that!

Have you found any way or reason why yet or recovered any of your traffic? Mine did the same and it has continued to dwindle to almost 5% of my traffic now.
Some people were saying it might just be a glitch but that is not the case for me, traffic still dropping! Many travel bloggers are seeing this. Interestingly my dog blog traffic is going up. So it seems Google hates travel blogs right now!
@@TempleSeeker My organic social is going up but I’ve lost about all of my organic search from Google. Bing, yahoo, and DuckDuckGo are going up as well. Google made up about 70% of my traffic before. While I am diversifying, I still need Google search too. I would like them all at 25%.
