Showing how to pop out the fan with the screw driver made this stupidly easy. Thank you! And for anyone that has a model 57N2, the 688 can replace it no problem. It has the same slots.
just replaced a 20yr old Broan that finally died. left the housing and easily put the new motor in. Thanks for making a product that works for a long time and isn't overly complicated!

What causes in cold weather the Broan vent duck get a lot the condensation inside the duct?
Thank you for your question regarding the replacement fan assembly video. Normally, if water is collecting inside the duct, it is due to cold duct work or improper installation. Insulating the duct work can help solve condensation problems. Running the fan longer after the shower will ensure the moisture is completely removed from the duct. Duct work should slope down toward a wall vent to direct condensation out the exterior vent opening if possible.

Does the fan assembly come separately without buying a new housing? Or do we buy the whole thing and just replace the fan assembly & throw out the new housing?

Just a $ tip ..Buying just the assembly costs around $50-60 at Broan . This entire setup at Lowes $22.
Can new 671 fan assembly fit/snap into an older 688 housing? I would like to have the the higher CFM but don't want to remove the existing fan box. Thank you

my current bathroom fan is this size but the duct is on the other side? is the duct moveable? thanks!

Our broan bathroom fan was just installed last summer and doesn’t work today vacuumed it still doesn’t work i need suggestions on how to pin point what the problem is and FIX it i dont have money to buy a new one
Good Afternoon, Thank you for contacting us regarding your ventilation fan. The motor assembly (motor, wheel, and bracket) can be unplugged and removed from the housing. You can then plug in the motor to an outlet and see if the motor has failed. Using an extension cord from a good outlet up to the motor can give you the same information. The motor assembly is replaceable and can be removed and replaced. Please contact our Product Support team directly for more assistance at 800-637-1453.

Jason, What SIZE is the allen head set screw that holds the squrriel cage onto the motor shaft? I have an entire building to do and want to purchase the correct tool
Thanks for your question. The wheel simply pulls off. There is no set screw on the model 670, 671, or 688.
I need a replacement for Broan model 674a , can’t find it. Which Broan replaces it ?
Thank you for your question on the model 674. This model was a fan-only model that used a housing size of 8" x 8-1/4". We no longer manufacture a fan-only model with this size housing. Can you provide a part number/replacement fan for an old F684-1? The label says it fits a H670 housing.

I have a 671RB…the housing appears to be 9”X9”. Having a hard time finding a replacement the same size. Any advice?
Thank you for your inquiry. The replacement fan assembly for the 671RB is part number S97017708. Unfortunately, there is no direct replacement for that complete unit. If you are looking to replace the entire unit, the suggested replacement is model A110. This is based on performance only as this unit has a different housing. 688 is really loud
