    I messed up the Gibson detail - the Alonso stat I heard was it was the first come from behind walk off **in a winner take all game** in MLB history, so I misremembered that. That’s on me!

    Jeff, I've added this video to my all-time Favorites list. This is I think the best stream you guys have ever put out. The overwhelming excitement in your voices... You perfectly expressed and represented what all us Dodger fans were feeling in that moment. You guys are awesome. I'm gonna watch this video again and again.

      Braves legend? 🤦🏻‍♂️ He’s jersey says Dodgers. He’s been a Dodger for the past 4 seasons. Get over it. braves are done.
      His seasonal stats with the Dodgers are far better than when he was with the braves.

    I was curious how Yankee fans reacted to game one, so I clicked on the post-game show of the RUclips channel called "Locked on Yankees." OMG! The intro alone said it all! Minutes later, the hosts teed off on Boone for bringing in Nestor Cortes in the 10th. Unlike Boone, the hosts didn't like "the match-ups" lol. Anyway, today's another day. Go Dodgers!

    My dad's parents moved the family to L.A. in 1951 and dad was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan cuz they were always underdogs to the Yankees in the W.S. He was able to enjoy it when they finally beat the Yanks in 1955. Then 3 years later, his team moved from Brooklyn to L.A. Lucky him!

    There’s no argument. Gibson’s home run was against Eckersley in his only at bat of the series and turned a loss into a win.
    Freeman’s home run was undeniably huge, but a single would’ve probably won the game. If Gibson singles the game is tied.

    Didn’t one of the Dodgerheads fans ask Stephen Nelson what his dream call was and said theres would be a Freddie walk off grand slam????? It literally happened in the first game. Insane!
    Also, I was at the game today! My first WS game ever and finally broke my 4 back-to-back home playoff loss streak. What a way to finally see a home playoff win in person!

  • @michaelhoffer9172
    @michaelhoffer9172 2 месяца назад +1

    I would say Carter’s homer was bigger because it ended the WS. Mazeroski’s was bigger because it ended the WS against a heavily favored Yankees team. Gibson’s was bigger because they went on to win the WS. If Dodgers go on to win, Freddie’s could surpass Gibby’s. Otherwise it will be like Muncy’s or Tino Martinez’s or Scott Broscius’ homers of Byun yun Kim and the Diamondbacks.

    I watched the game at my brother-in-law's house. He's a Yankee fan. When Freddie hit the ball out, I screamed at the top of my lungs for a full minute. Then I stopped, composed myself, and turned to my brother-in-law who was standing next to me and I said, "Sorry Bryan, I know this is a really tough loss for you. But you know what? I'm really not sorry." And I gave him a big grin. Everyone else in the room heard me and laughed. My brother-in-law was really gracious though and took it well.
    It's for moments like this that we follow a team. This is why we watch, and become emotionally invested, and follow them so closely. It makes moments like this so much more meaningful and rewarding.

    Four words to sum this up, how sweet it is!
    I’ve been a fan since the 60s and this might be the most awesome game I’ve ever seen. Just when it looked like we’re going down ad having to battle back after a tough loss, it ends like this.
    Gibson’s HR was as dramatic as they come but this one was at least as good and perhaps even better given the challenges this year and how tight this team is.
    Bringing in Cortez was a questionable move, that’s what shaky managing looks like folks, thank goodness for us!
    Enjoy it folks, this is as a good as it gets!
