Think of it like a washing machine or a microwave oven. There are "programs" i.e a handful of instructions to tell the machine what to do.

He plays minecraft on vanilla, no optifine, no sodium, that's one damn good pc
I'm guessing he doesn't use sodium because replaymod won't render with it installed and he doesn't want to enable/disable the mod every time.
Why would that need to be a good PC? Sure he is recording, but any low end system would easily be able to run this at solid FPS. There are no crazy things going on

In a hole in the ground there lived a Squirrel. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of creepers and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat; it was a Steve-hole, and that means comfort.
It had a perfectly square door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a rectangular-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with paneled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for helmets and elytra - the squirrel was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill - The Hill, as all the people for many chunks round called it - and many little square doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another. No going upstairs for the suirrels: bedrooms, bathrooms, chestrooms, redstone storages (lots of these), armories (he had whole rooms devoted to armor), kitchens, dining-rooms, all were on the same floor, and indeed on the same passage. The best rooms were all on the left-hand side (going in), for these were the only ones to have windows, deep-set quare gkas panes looking over his garden, and plains beyond, zigzagging down to the river.
This squirrel was a very well-to-do steve, and his name was Ilmango. The Scircrafters had lived in the neighbourhood of The Hill for time out of mind, and people considered them very respectable, not only because most of them were rich, but also because they never had any adventures or did anything manually: you could tell what a Scicrafter would say on any question without the bother of asking him. This is a story of how a Scicrafter had an idea for a farm, and found himself doing and saying things altogether unexpected. ̶h̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶m̶̶a̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶h̶̶a̶̶v̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶l̶̶o̶̶s̶̶t̶̶ ̶̶t̶̶h̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶n̶̶e̶̶i̶̶g̶̶h̶̶b̶̶o̶̶u̶̶r̶̶s̶’̶ ̶̶r̶̶e̶̶s̶̶p̶̶e̶̶c̶̶t̶, but he gained - well, you will see whether he farmed anything in the end.

When you finish the series I think that it'd be really interesting if you did an episode just going over your thoughts on Peaceful mode in general. What you liked; what you think should be changed; etc.
I would love to hear a summary it, although ilmango did share his thoughts early on during the first few episodes of the series, and also here and there throughout later episodes.
The enderdragon in the room is obviously blaze rods. Mojang really need to add passive versions of hostile mobs, it's not difficult it could be as simple as spawning them with no AI. The blazes would spawn and stand still and get looted by the player.
A mojang dev talked about the blaze rods situation and basically dismissed ideas such as fortress chest loot and spawnerblock drops, because they're not renewable so they don't allow sustainable brewing.

Couldn't you just keep the Peaceful Challenge as a side series? I know SciCraft will take all of your time now it's finally updating, but it could be nice to have this other place to chill every once in a while. New updates will probably bring new ideas and mechanics for peaceful as well.

I have enjoyed this series. Peaceful is my favorite difficulty in single player but I also like playing with fancy redstone contraptions. It has been great seeing what can be done with technical Minecraft within the limits of Peaceful. I will be sad to see the series end.

I'm sad to hear the series will soon come to an end. This is easily one of my favourite Minecraft series ever, and I've learned a lot from it. Yeah, you probably went a bit too big at times (jnstead if building the mega contractions on SciCraft); I would have preferred it to be more achievable for normal people who play in peaceful (*heh*), but a lot of it can be scaled down. Anyway, thanks for the great series!

I think there was some talk about custom dimensions in vanilla Minecraft. You might be able to put this world as a secondary overworld for the Scicraft server. You do need command(blocks) to go to extra dimensions. You can also set up the distance ratio to whatever you like, 1:1, 1:8 like with the nether...might be cool to set up a fast travel dimension that's 1:100 and has nothing but a slab of glass
I wish I watched this before making my own flower farm. Tried getting dandelion for saturation stew. Got almost every flower but dandelion.

Here again to suggest a cool Redstone build, a bridge that uses terrain grabbers similar to the quarry in scicraft you built to construct a bridge out of surrounding blocks. you could make it faster by having 2 flying machines go to terrain and back to bridge feeding the bridge with blocks.
At what level would this be building? If it is at ground level, just use the ground. If its in a tunnel just use a tunnel bore

Yeah bro your doing a good job on your peaceful challenge, I'm doing one on Bedrock edition and Java when the new 1.17 update is here I actually want to wait for the warden to be put into the game before I do the challenge because I have done this I Java 1.12 and came up with some interesting ways to aquire all the items in Minecraft

Wouldn't it be neat to flatten a flower forest, bone meal 1 layer of grass to only have flowers, then several blocks above that have glass to be the floor. This would be a visual aid of what the flower forest looks like. Then have houses where you want to farm certain flowers. Basically, turn the flower forest template into a floor.

@ilmango, an offtopic question to a recent video: you said without duping it wouldn't be possible to create a perimeter automaticly? Why can't you build a moving creeper farm and use the creepers direxctly for the excavation?
You couldn’t blow the creepers up automatically, it also would be really slow, and couldn't be as big.
@@Hawkeye_King_Pup you can have an afk player with a flamebow or flint and steel
@@unknowncitizen9300 You would have to worry about the creeper blowing up the player, and also dying. Also to use the flame bow, you would need a clicking script, and the people who would use this wouldn’t want to use that.
Might very well be possible in theory, but in terms of practicality it is way too slow to be considered an option

When you update to 1.17 if moss is a net plus bonemeal you will make a bonemeal farm and a flower farm so it’s just a switch so you never need to re fill it
