    It started already, I work captive under an Agency, that enrolls dual eligibles into a plan, and I dial outbounds all day for one carrier. Commissions were changed to 1/4 of what they used to be and to top everything off, now we have to scope and wait 48 hours before we can do anything with the client. Also, we have to do 49 enrollments or over to get the higher commission. I'm not happy, looking to go independent in a couple of months when I start getting my social security. Most agents tried to do the right thing. "When the government becomes involved, it often results in a messy situation."

      Yes during AEP they started that 48hr scope of appointment thing and it was only for outbound it really hurt Alot of agents sales plus when the mde check goes down u can’t do dual plans at all😢

      your not support be calling outbound you people are hounding beneficiaries with no right to call them and making illegal calls ruining it for the rest of us

    I just got into medicare and the 1st few leads I called and spoke with expressed to me the "hundreds" of calls they get and the older leads I get tell me that once the call finds out they are already over 65 they get hung up on when actually needing help finding out if they can qualify for LIS, supplement help, etc; because this requires extra effort. This has been my experience so far.

    In our agency, we provide support to our agents, providing them with RVs, leads, contracting support, and other things. If that happens, you would not have any agency, you would be direct with the insurance company, so if you have any level because you are helping other agents say bye to your levels and overrides, and if you are in a good agency, say bye to the support. At the same time. This would worse the problem because those small companies could not compete agains the big ones, as a broker myself, sunfire help me to consider other options for the clients. But, at the end, My question would be if this would really happened, would the Insurance companies save the FMOs and the FMOs the agencies, or this would be the end? Again, many questions to ask. But great information, I didn't expect less than that coming from you David. Thank you again.

    As an agent, I already pay for most if not all of those things myself including Call Recording, marketing, E&O, State licensing, etc. The only impact it would have on me is less competition from new agents. I'm not saying I agree with over regulation, but it wouldn't affect me personally.

    • @TheDIGAgency
      @TheDIGAgency  10 месяцев назад +9

      Sounds like you're with a bad Medicare IMO. Most agents get marketing support from their IMO and carriers.

    • @benernst2764
      @benernst2764 10 месяцев назад

      In addition, more regulation just leads to more regulation so what some folks think doesn't affect them, eventually does as they continue to add more on top of more and keep chipping away so to speak. @@TheDIGAgency

      I agree, I’ve been marketing Medicare Supplements, Advantage Plans for over 15 years and Prescription Plans since their inception . The larger carriers do a good job of policing their contract agents and the smaller plans are more concerned with building their client base. The old adage of “Physician heal thyself”, we have to clean up our business.

    These new regulations would be disastrous for many small agencies. We depend on the support from uplines, enrollment platforms like Sunfire in order to make it all work for us and the brokers. I hope they don’t implement these rules.

  • @nycitylifeandhistory
    @nycitylifeandhistory 9 месяцев назад +10

    The reason for these rules are the immense amounts of sleazy underhanded agents. I was in this space both in call centers and with individual carriers and overwhelmingly those who cheated were treated witha blind eye. Good for more reguations

    It seems like agents should be seeking for the government to get out of how they are compensated by the carriers all together. In the WYO flood program the carriers are compensated at approximately 31% which is the average and aggregate of 5 similar private market lines of business. Then the carriers compensate their agents as they see fit. This is just going to get more and more political over time and this is very difficult to understand because of the the different nature of MA and original Medicare. I would also argue for a rolling open enrollment based upon individuals birth month, it would make services clients easier.

  • @terryswindle5214
    @terryswindle5214 9 месяцев назад +9

    The attitude of all agents in it just for the compensation for the sale, no concern for the customer needs at all. If you all weren't so corrupt, there wouldn't be any changes

      I’m an agent & NOT just in it for $! Medicare is by far the hardest, most regulated insurance. It takes hundreds of hours each year to keep up with the changes & usually it is the large call centers that are not following the rules. They punish good agents with these regulations; meanwhile the bad guys keep getting away with their same old behavior 😢 They’re regulating honest agents to death, and all people will be left with are the bad guys. 😮

    Now, at an older age I’ve had like never before to grow my BOB. It would be impossible without our uplines and FMO support. Not just marketing, I can do that now but all the back office and laws would make it too difficult to operate.
    Ripping down the American Small Business seems to be the “big plan”

    GREAT video. At the end of the day, CMS just wants to increase the satisfaction that beneficiaries have with the medicare system and reduce complaints. Their only tools are creating, or removing, laws.
    Our client retention tool not only helps agents with retention, but in the process reduces medicare complaints. The #1 (by far) complaint is "I got switched to a plan that isn't what I thought it was/ that I didn't know about". MediZues empowers the agent to reduce this happening to their clients.
    Thank you Bob and David!! We support you!

    I am a life agent and have always been wary of Medicare for exactly this reason. This is bad enough but what if they ever nationalized healthcare and you were out of business. Not for me - I may sell original med supp as that is not regulated as ridiculously. I don't even think the government should regulate. I was dually licensed and the series 66 that let's you become an Registered Investment Adviser is a joke you can study for it in a weekend.

      @austinweaver9888 Their level of coverage denials alone disqualifies them for being called insurance. You are looking out for yourself and do not care about your clients. I make plenty of money without ruining people's lives with MA. Look up the lawsuits yourself, or ask someone how to do it, I doubt you can figure it out yourself.

    Not an agent but do you actually go through every one of your clients every year and look up their personal needs and then call them to let them know their policy can change if they were to just do this or that I don't think you spend that kind of time per client so you just let them revolve and go through each year after you're collecting money
