To all the girls who like such short flowing dresses: the wind can make the whole thing pretty tricky, you know what i mean :) So i am always wearing silk knickers (sort of shorts, they are lightweight and impalpable) underneath and feel protected. Got one black (for black mini-dresses), and one nude from Atelier bachot brand, not sure if they have it currently - search online or at your local brands. Love this flattering dress style and Lizzy who rocks not only jeans ;-)
I love these summer dresses, specially mango and realization par. By the way, wishing everyone in London/UK well, these terror incidents are horrendous been calling my extended families checking on them.
lizzy, the oa viscose dress will get back to normal if you iron it. that's what viscose does in the wash. when it doesn't shrink, that's lucky. thank you for your videos, I love your style. watching from Romania :)
I've been obsessed with you channel since finding it four days ago. I love the way you talk about clothes, really revising them and experimenting with all the range. Lizzy, this has been super helpful. I was about to get the Mango one but honestly, I prefer to spend a bit more and get more quality. Why don't you do a bardot neck style embroided white tops? they are everywhere at the moment and I have been looking at some, (vila, hugo, the kooples, new look..) but honestly they look so similar online I don´t know which one to get! muchos besos !

Hi Lizzie! Love your channel. I have two ideas for Testing Basics: (1) Shift dresses and (2) Sweater dresses (when it's cold enough). Those are two items of clothing that I'm always on the lookout for because nothing beats a good shift dress and nothing is as cosy as a good sweater dress - especially since I work in a corporate environment and am obsessed with being comfortable as well as looking good. LOVE the Rixo dress, that print is amazing. For the unlined dresses I found a little silk half slip I wear under wrap dresses or even shirt dresses with buttons that can gape, so if it blows open there's a pretty silk/lace peek instead of nothing. Helps with creasing too.

I've had so many viscose dresses & tops that have shrunk and recently discovered that if you iron and steam the fabric whilst pulling/reshaping it tends to stretch back to near enough it's original shape. I'd really love to see a testing basic on slip dresses - preferably knee length to midi. Thanks!
Which one would you say is the longest? I have a strangely long torso so a lot of them look like they'd be suuuuuper short on me!

I have a midi dress with a wrap skirt and I used a tiny safety pin to keep it from flapping open - since it's longer it really likes to catch any sort of breeze. I loved the UO dress, so disappointing that it shrunk! My body type is almost the opposite of yours, very full hourglass, and I much prefer dresses that at least come to my knees to cover my hips so I can't wait for the midi version!
Can't wait for the midi dress video- there's so many out at the moment I've been stuck which one to go for!

Hi Lizzy! I loved this video and I would love to see a testing basics on Khaki pants, I wear them to school and work everyday and I would love to explore my options. Plus I think khaki pants are a MUST in every girl's wardrobe!
I was just in Realization in New York and so some stunning 'so me' dresses. Lord knows why I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but they have a ruffle shoulder midi wrap one that I am so tempted to cave on.

These types of dresses are all so short, I'd find it uncomfortable with my legs. I'm 5"10' as well, with long legs. But just in general I don't really like short skirts/dresses.
Love your testing basics! Anything that ive ever bought that is viscose seems to shrink majorly. Try steaming it, that seems to really help it come back to size. I always try to avoid anything viscose because of that
Tea dresses are popular because for the first time in bloody years it's a style that is actually enhanced by having curves. Fashion is overwhelmingly dictated by the very slender and shapeless - a tea dress looks better on someone with curves.

yes yes yes for the sandals video! I have huge feet (eur size 42) and im looking for a pair and i feel like all the shoes look horrible on me and i feel very insecure about wearing open shoes.. but i dont want to sweat all summer in sneakers either.. so yes please inspire meee!!!

i was quiet surprised when you put the rixo dress in third place and the mango one in second. the rixo one looked so much better on you, i thought the mango one was so .... tight .... and not quiet as flattering as the rixo one.
but you really make me wanna get a realisation par one even though i dont really have the money to buy one 🤔 might save up though because it just looked so good and it seems everlasting and timeless. great video as always lizzy!
Regarding the Urban Outfitters Dress, sometimes if you iron viscose or rayon with a steam iron it will go back to original size and soften again. You might try this and good luck!

Nice video! I love the Rixo dress the best! I personally would rather spend the money on a good quality dress that looks good and unique. I would love to see a shorts and an off the shoulder tops video.
I would love to know if you have tried to hand wash the realisation dress? I want to get one but really hate the dry celan only part....
Loved this video! I think the shrinking might be a common thing with Pins and Needles! I bought a top from them in Urban Outfitters and it also shrunk significantly after being washed according to the label... It's such a shame cause they have great clothing but not at all resistant to washing!

If anything like that dress says you can wash it at 40 degrees...never do! Never believe those labels haha. It also always depends on the water and the washing mashine, but viscose is a gentle material. Always wash viscose at 30 degress or in a cold handwash xx

When I go to America in the summer I'm definitely investing in the star print dress from Realisation Par, I won't be able to afford to eat for a couple of days but it'll be worth it 😂
Out of curiosity, do the wash instructions for the Urban Outfitters dress specify the unit of measurement for 40 degrees (Celsius or Fahrenheit)? I cannot imagine washing viscose or nylon in 40C and not seeing it shrink 😩 Whereas 40F is significantly cooler and might impact the fabric less harshly. Ah well. It was cute, but the shrinkage is no bueno.

The Urban outfitters dress is not ruin just need to steam or iron out. It will go back to its original size.
Iron the viscose dress and it will be ok again. Very lovely dress!
It's a bummer that the Urban Outfitters dress shrank. I would guess that the Urban Outfitters Dress would have been better sent to the dry cleaners - it looks like its made from crepe fabric which can shrink. I usually dry clean viscos as well depending on whether its a simple garment or something dressy.
