this is unexpectedly useful way for someone who's never been on the ride to get a feel for the layout! usually when the ride is dark, its basically impossible to understand where everything is relative to you through video, but with all the walls and props lit up and you making a point to show these instead of focusing solely on scenes made it so much clearer :) so wonderful
Dude I'm not sure if you're aware of what an amazingly rare experience you just had. During that finale, all those bubbly looking cutouts lining the edges of the track are remnants of a never-realized finale where you would be traversing the surface of the moon. The effects didn't work as intended, so before opeming day the scene was changed and those cutouts were painted black, never to be seen by riders. On the wall behind all the "Saw daggers", there is a remnant of the old pre 1990s finale: what used to be the hull of a space station that housed an animatronic pilot. It was painted black and sealed during an overhaul, supposedly entombing the pilot animatronic within for the past 30+ years. You got to see a lot of stuff that only a select few people ever get to see man. Amazing.
I knew I was lucky to capture this, having been on this ride close to 50 times over the past 8 years or so, but I didn't know all that! That's fascinating! I knew they had tried to disguise many things in the finale but I didn't know all of that. Thanks for sharing!!
9:41 against the wall behind you (that the camera is facing) is what used to be a space station. Right above the entrance to the next section of the ride, if you click the time stamp, you can see the bottom of it on the bottom right of the screen. Rumor has it that hiding behind those curtains once the car levels out is the “people” that used to be part of the ending of the ride. At the very least, if you look up, you can see card board heads with graduation caps that is a left over effect from the formerly spectacular (by comparison) ending.
it's pretty ridiculous to say this but with my travelling luck, I probably saw the last of this ride the first time I got to ride on it, which was well past even my teen years.

Very cool, thx for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
This is my dream for this to happen, I got stopped like 2 times, but never the lights went on 😭
Probably because someone was having trouble getting on or off the ride

What is the previous ending? Where can I find it?

I can't see the heads?
Would you be able to give a time stamp for the graduation caps??
It's not I this video. You'd have to find one where they actually film the last portion of the ride
Pope Julius II: When will you make an end?
Michelangelo: When I am finished!
6:12 damm! Spaceship earth has a philco predicta! Also suprised Disney weren't threatened with a lawsuit for copying the jetsons

I'm right now at this ride, my spaceship is delayed
Boy, that sure is a steep backwards section.
I know it feels like your gonna fall out of it at any moment
@@MichaelMyers-pj2ukit feels like the ride has a huge drop without a seatbelt😂😂
I Been On This Ride Since 2015
Did they let you go again without having to get off the ride?
No, but the line was so short that we just hopped on again.
this ride definitely needs some TLC
Damn it I wanted to see the way down lit up where they covered up a bunch of scenes.
Same! I was hoping the lights would stay on through the ending. I've always wondered what it looked like.
I'm so confused right now😂
