@@tabularasa1229 You are correct. These vids are getting to be more reasons not to visit. I think as retirees going to Vegas this year will be a better value.
If you think hard about it, this pass is aimed at the older rich folks, who hated paying for LL and had to be on their phones for it. This was the most complained thing about LL besides the fee. Now with this, you can buy it before you even enter the park, and NEVER have to touch your phone once. The fee is there for that experience, to put your phone down!
"When Big Thunder Mountain reopens, it will bring with it a bit of new magic." Yeah, like a 4 hour standby queue and $20 super-fantastic-deluxe-lightning-lane-surcharge-price.
Exactly. Disney’s priority, even after admission fees, is to additionally monetize every single ride with Lightning Lanes and clumsily insert IP’s into rides to sell Disney adults schlock.
@@hiker64 they are already doing that. compelling people to do buy LL’s for E tickets by artificially making standby waits way longer with LL queues and taking ride capacity offline when it’s slower.
Disney is making it impossible for the average person to enjoy a trip there. I only go ever 10 years or so. All of the lightning lanes, virtual queues, etc. require so much research to understand. Not to mention the prices!!!!!
@@TeylaDex 1% has better places to visit. Significant % of WDW guests are legit mental, how much more can they be squeezed for $$? Disney will find out.
Can you imagine staying at a super expensive Disney hotel for the OPPORTUNITY to BUY another pass just so you can ride a ride 1 time in the express lane?! That's bonkers.
The only solution to queues is to go during the "green light" times - the lowest crowd times of the year. I will never wait in a line for more than 40 minutes, and depending on the time of day, some rides like Jungle Cruise and Pirates are just walk-ons, no line at all.
The new lightning lane has really priced out and made things worse for 99% of park goers. Even going at rope drop only really cuts the long wait at one attraction. They really should have stuck with the original FP for resort guests IMHO.
I'm British and was a lover of going to Florida and visiting all the theme parks with the kids but since my last visit the magics just gone. Disneys definitely lost its way, its way too expensive and complicated for its own good. Back in the day you went in, queued for rides, watched parades and enjoyed the day. Now its stress from the moment you get there...mobile apps, fast passes, booking food.....etc etc...just not worth the hassle. Universal, Busch and Sea world are still ok....for now...
I agree, we bought annual passes and sorta worked it to go 3 times in the 12 months, but honestly its totally not the place it was before, the magic has gone, everything is so app dependent and if you dont pay them hundreds in genie plus then forget it.
Creativity left around 20 years ago. Iger is fantastic mind of engineering but lacked the creativity as a leader. Instead of creating, he acquired. Acquired IPs and franchises but had no idea how to grow them.
@@travisvanalst4698 I mean the current stock market doesn’t support creativity. Stockholders don’t care about creativity. That’s why so many movies and shows are paint by numbers or remakes. When the only goal is to meet expectations for the quarterly profit, there is no room for innovation. Capitalism breeds mediocrity
They're closing a bunch of stuff just when Universal is opening their new park. These changes should have been made years ago so they could compete next year.
Remember in the 90s when you could plan going to Disney World for a week for around 7k as a middle class family of four, stay at an all star hotel, do most of the rides and restaurants and could still afford to go back 4-5 years later? Well these days are long gone.
Staying at the resorts? We have a 9 day trip for 3 in February, moderate resort, with dining plan, around $8k. Pre-lockdown this same trip plus one day was about $5-6k. We used to do 10 days almost every year. Haven't been since 2021, it's just too much, and I don't like rushed trips. @@hannalambert2889
Um, we went in 2019 for a full week at Animal Kingdom Lodge including free dining, park hoppers, and photo pass with a family of four for around $5k. It is about double that now to stay at AKL, tickets, and dining.
Last year mom and I stayed at Art of Animation, tickets to Epcot and MK and food plan for 5 days due $2,000 total roughly. But we used a park planner and they went into detail the pros and cons of everything. Disney though benefits from folks not understanding booking with a planner is no additional charge.
None of these changes will ruin our visit...as we're not going to visit. This former Disney World regular visitor hasn't been since a two week trip in 2010 due to Disney corporate greed tearing the heart out of the place.
I disagree with the other comment. We went for the first time this year since 2019, and holy cow, we were blown away. The half a billion dollar ride, Rise of Resistance, shows you why their prices are rising. It’s absolutely incredible. Seeing my kids enjoy all of these incredible new things like that and the Guardians of the Galaxy ride makes it all SO worth it.
I love Disney but I hate that they keep increasing prices the way they do. They're making it so difficult for people who are not as well off financially to be able to afford to go.
Seriously. I mean they're already one of the most successful organizations in the country. I have to safe up alot in order to be able to enjoy going. I know alot of people who would love to go but cant afford it.
@@stevenbell3897this. They aren't in the business to make you happy about the price, they are in it to test how much they can push it, and so far they have not reached that yet. People are going to eat up the lightning lane premiums and its paying a crazy amount for what was once free. Fast pass was only free to get people in the habit of using it and making it a part of the trip. I don't believe it was ever conceived to always stay free as much as anyone will say it was.
It's supply and demand more families wanna go more the prices increase. Disney is at a peak right now, so prices are high, but sooner or later, people will get disney world fatigue and go else where for family vacations, and that's when we poors go. 😂
The most TERRIBLE change that has hit Disney World for a number of years now is Disney’s inability to create a Magical Atmosphere and Experience - the real reason why people pay those exuberant admission fees to go there in the first place. When you yank the MAGIC out of the experience, you just become another overpriced amusement park focused on people moving, creating endless queues, and ensuring your bottom line.
Please, please stay away from any and all Disney parks. The lines are long enough as it is and you sound like the kind of person who ruins anything you touch. We will ALL be better off.
@@charleshamilton9274I have to agree with the previous commenter. I have been going to Walt Disney World since 1974. They used to know how to efficiently queue and maintain the “Magic”. Somewhere along the way, they became more focused on the bottom line than the customer experience. The BIGGEST thing that set them apart. I used to love going to sleep to one landscape and waking up to a new one. Seeing a crack one day that was gone the next. Never seeing a construction wall, let alone hearing or seeing what’s going on behind it. These things may not seem important, but it’s what I’ve come to expect from Disney. I like being totally immersed and not knowing that it’s a facade. Now, it’s all too obvious. This has nothing to do with becoming an adult, most of my treasured experiences at these parks are from my adulthood. I don’t mind paying more for a quality experience, lately Disney has not been providing that.
Disney is losing me as a passholder. They’re raising the prices again. After they rose them post Covid and took away some perks and want to charge ridiculous prices for those perks that were free. No early park entry for pass holders. It definitely appears that they really don’t care for the pass holders. Universal will be getting my money 2025 after my annum pass expires for Disney
Passholders don’t generate as much revenue as they used to & Disney would prefer extra money from people who aren’t passholders. Universal now has photo recognition to keep passholders/locals/hotel guests from “sharing” tickets and express passes with others. All theme parks are starting to reduce or heavily enforce passholder benefits.
@@matchakit the ROI on annual pass holders, especially local annual pass holders is not a simple line item and won’t be fully seen for a few years. We bring in business in addition to ourselves. Just the year I have had 5 family members switch their vacations from WDW to Universal. It will be a few years till Disney feels the full sting of treating their APs poorly.
Seems like it's never enough for Disney executives when it comes to "imagineering" ways to scare fan costumers away. -More expensive every year. -Having to wake up before 6 a.m. praying to all saints that since you couldn't buy a lightning lane because they were sold out, you can miraculously get a place in the virtual queu. -Standing in lines to get in the park, in the rides, food places and even going out taking up to more than an hour to catch the monorail. -Lightning lanes (as much as A.J. tries to convince us that they're not that much of a hassle, they are. Even to be able to buy them! ) -Having to depend on a smart phone and thinking that everyone has and knows how to use one (ask one of the many thousands of senior people that attend to the parks and pay to do so, if they finally learned how to use the Disney app before their day was over. Fortunately not my case but...) Not mentioning that you miss half of the magic, beauty and fun of being in the park, because you have to walk with your head down and attending your phone screen hoping not to be ran over by an electric wheel chair while doing so. I say all of this not because a friend of a friend told me. I say it because we just came back from our much planned, saved for and awaited "trip to Disney". It's a real shame when you've been a Disney fan for over fifty years. Guess that's when "the good old days" start coming to your head!!!
I think the exact same thing, the last time I went to all the parks, it just felt like a chore, and for starwars rise of the resistance queue, I lift my head up 1 second to answer a question, and the queue was gone 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
It is a shame. I was a Disney parks freak. Not anymore, I won’t pay those astronomical prices. Social media has made WDW a status thing. It’s no longer enjoyable and not an escape from reality. Before the plague happened in 2020, my cousin and I had a full week booked for May 2020, all star movies @$69 a night, via a special code sent to my email. I no longer get anything from WDTC. I guess I’m an undesirable. I’m done.
Paying for every theme park separately. Enjoyed the day when 1 pass covered all parks. It’s all about grabbing more money per visitor. The magic is gone from Dibsneyworld. From UKand loved Dibsneyworld back in early 80’s to early 90’s, not anymore
This breaks my heart. Travelling to the US with my dad and my brother and visiting all these parks in Florida as a young boy is probably my number one fondest childhood memory and I will never lose this sense of wonder. I've always wanted to do the same trip with my own kids should I have some eventually, but not only wouldn't the experience be the same as back in the day, it would cost a fortune : /
Still worth taking them once when they are little, at least. Their faces still light up with wonder, it's just going to cost you an extra arm and leg. Try late September/early October. You can usually find better deals and crowds are way lower.
The best way that we, as consumers, can fight the high cost of the fast line is… don’t buy the fast lines!!! Without them, all lines go quick. Seriously, we have to fight back these ridiculous prices!
My wife and I travel to Orlando every year to visit Disney World. Since 2008 I’ve spent many many great days loving this place. Sadly our last visit in September was our last visit! We said goodbye to our old friend that is being destroyed by fools!
@@BusterBronco1987If you're still looking for Disney magic DO NOT go to Disneyland Paris. It's awful and definitely void of any magic. Great if you like construction and super long lanes and average Disney snacks though. I'm just back after my third visit there and I won't ever be back.
Disney doesn't care.....50 people will take your place....the parks are packed.....the more they charge the more people go.....I haven't been in 30 years...I don't miss it
The resorts have definitely strayed far rom Walt's original plans. It has become a land for people who have, and alienates the individuals who have not. Disney believed that everyone should be treated equally at Disneyland, regardless of their background. A 1962 cast member training manual stated that everyone should receive a red carpet welcome, regardless of their wealth, creed, or refinement.
We used to go every year. On our last two trips were just plain stressful. We experienced stressed out cast members complaining about too many hours, while others conplained of too few hours....in front of us. The amount of planning to be here to get there to make x lane/reservation just compounded the stress. I was ready to go back to my high paced job just to relax from my vacation! So we've switched to Universal. The staff are friendly, go out of the way to be helpful....and we dont have to waste half our time running from x to get to y by way of z to catch a reservation. I also like the variety at Universal. Each area has a personality, which Disney has lost over time as it transitions to IP only themeing.
I have friends who work for Disney who can get me in for free but I still won't go.....with all of the upsellling...and long lines it's not worth it....haven't been in 30 years
Where the rubber meets the road is when the value is not meeting the cost. Why go to Disney when you can go to any other theme park and get the same experience for less.
The ticket increase is sickening. The lightening Lane prices are sickening. Walt’s envision of WDW was once everyone entered through those gates everyone (upper, middle and lower class) were treated the same. That has not been the case. So now people who can afford to stay in an upscale hotel and can afford to buy those LL tickets will have special privileges. Walt would be pissed to see how these money hungry board members and CEO/COO have DESTROYED this once great company. 😡
It is so sad the prices keep increasing. At this point, i'm completely priced out of Disney. I will spend my money at Universal and their new park in a couple years but dang i can do an entire trip abroad cheaper than Disney. My planning for Japan, including Disney over there, was much cheaper. I don't understand it but it is what it is.
I have gone to Disneyland Paris 2x and got their premier pass lightning lane over there all for cheaper than a week at Disney world at a moderate resort with 7 day park hopper. It’s truly sad how expensive it’s gotten over here
Well, I'm sure all this closure and construction will mean a lower price! How could you charge people MORE to stay in a hotel that sounds like a jackhammer orchestra, or a park with less rides? Ohhhhh....
Disney doesn't need anyone's business....for everyone who won't go 50 will take your place...every time prices go up their attendance goes up not down....the parks and packed...
Dinosaur is, in my opinion, the BEST directed ride in Walt Disney World! The suspension! The chaos! The frantic narration! The lighting! The feeling of no control and being at the mercy of a selfish scientist, and how he changes heart and shifts importance to your safety! FORGET THE DINO!!! I just hope that the Indiana Jones retheaming isn’t a complete junkyard palooza as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Crossing my fingers!! Crossing my fingers…
The worst change was made in 2024 to the Disability Access Service. It made the parks incredibly inaccessible for disabled people and the people they went with, leaving them unable to enjoy the parks as they did previously. I've read numerous accounts of people being treated terribly by the CMs in charge of the DAS interviews, even those with developmental disabilities who are allegedly the ones the program still accommodates.
Agreed, this is by far the worst. Increasing prices is one thing but fully preventing many folks with disabilities from ever enjoying the park again is such a sad and unfair decision.
It was way better before when you could get a guest services pass. You didn’t even have to show a note, though we always had one, that my daughter had a disability and couldn’t wait on line for rides and you always got to use the fastest queue. Then some kind of a BS story came out about people hiring disabled to come with them to WDW and they put everyone in the same lines. This never smelled right to me as all you really needed to do was go to guest services and get the pass… they can’t legally ask why… 5 minutes worth of research dug that up. I think Disney used it as PR to make people believe these people were “buying” their way onto lines to force the policy change. Now they sell a front of the line pass and it’s fine. I will never go to WDW again. Disneyland/DCA yes. Best part about WDW were the Fort Wilderness campgrounds where you rent a cabin… they were fun… with the exception of a few insects that looked like they could bite your head off inside the cabins.
With the new water park perk, I'm hoping that means that both water parks will be open during warmer seasons to accommodate the additional people going! I have a trip planned for May and I would LOVE to get to go to Blizzard Beach. (Fingers crossed!)
Disney have lost our family, we were in love with our Disney holidays but the one we took earlier this year will be our last. The magic has been ripped out by the Lightning Lane changes - too much stress, expense and frustration. I feel strongly that Disney doesn’t care about guest experience anymore. All it cares about is maximising profits and sucking every last dollar out of guests’ pockets. It leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth and sours the whole holiday. We’ll be taking our holidays to Universal from now on.
plenty of time to.... cancel the trip and choose another destination. at this point doing a week of Disney Paris and a week of Paris is including flights cheaper than this MESS
@@sheillaa.6964 Paris is our home park. it IS so much more affordable and WAY less cramped. I highly recommend to check school holidays and go outside of them. we went 2nd week of september this year and it was fantastic. never waited anywhere longer than 20minutes, only weird thing is that crush coaster is ALWAYS 2 hours? it's not that special though, and you can do it in your magic hour
Just got back from Hong Kong Disneyland and I can’t recommend it enough. The lines were almost non existent. The rides are so fun and unique. Merchandise quality is 100% better and way cheaper. Food is delicious with a decent variety and also cheaper. Oh and their luxury hotels are larger and cheaper.
@@sheillaa.6964how much if you don’t mind my asking (and being lazy to not do my own research 😅)? I live in the south and can go to disney (2people) for a week on disney property + pay for food for less than 3k. Edit: i have always wanted to see the paris version of the haunted mansion
Anyone who is knowledgeable about financing, could you explain why the prices keep going up each year (especially at such a high rate)? What is being added in value to make up for this? Essentially, my question is why should I pay more money for what seems to be less value and quality than before?
It’s because they have debt from acquiring Fox and Disney + not being profitable. In top of that, you have to keep investors happy so this all equals raising prices. It’s horrible!
Because people keep showing up and forking over the money. We can complain all we want, but the reality is Disney is charging what the market will bear. If they're willing to pay it, charge it. Just that simple.
Used to be an annual pass holder, but gave it up a few years ago. Just checked, and the equivalent pass (no blackout dates) is almost triple the cost now. Sorry, but no more trips to the mouse house for me.
This is first I’d heard about Big Thunder- my favorite ride as a kid in California, and the one I was most excited about taking my kids on next summer for their first trip. Bummer!!!
The CORPORATE GREED that Disney has shown to the customers SHOULD BE "unbelievable".... Sadly, it is QUITE believable. One day the consumer will rise up an use the power of their own wallets and teach these greedy corporate powers a new lesson.
That day isn't here yet.....the more Disney charges their attendance goes up not down....for everyone who won't go 50 people will take your place....the parks are packed
I'm saying it now: The new Indiana Jones ride must, MUST contain Indy saying "You're not gonna make it! You're not gonna make it! You made it!" at the end of the ride. Imagineers, take note!
What amazes me the most is how many people are still willing to cram this place full so they can stand in line and burn money. P.T. Barnum had nothing on Mickey Mouse.
They raise ticket prices, add on exuberant pass prices to ride the rides that are all going to be closed, or broken {Tiana's}. So what are you paying extra for exactly? Country Bears, my opinion, was one of the worse attractions, yet it stays, and they ruin the rest of Frontierland. Oh, and they cater to the rich DVC patrons with another lounge and get rid of the only free thing in the park.
For everyone who won't go 50 people will take your place....the more they charge their attendance goes up not down. .....the parks are packed......I 4 traffic is at a stand still....u gotta love "heaven"
Hey Girl you make the best videos out there on the internet.. you explain your views in detail about everything that matters to travelers who want to travel to that location without you having to show yourself through out the video.. PS your voice speaks for itself… 😊Great Job!
Disney needs to remove the virtual queue from the Guardians ride. I took my family there for a once in a lifetime event and tried twice to get a queue. (I studied and did every single tip on how to get a virtual queue.) We did not get one and that ride has been open for some time now. (Luckily we did get the Tron queue on the second try.)
I never understand why people love that ride so much. To me it’s always the thing u go on when you’re tired but still want to move physically. I AM the old lady now & I feel the same! (67)
It’s like they are deliberately trying to destroy the place. Between movie after movie flopping, they are systematically removing the charm, nostalgia and heart from the parks. Then there is the chaotic way the access to rides work and the nickel and diming that’s going on around every corner.
I am planning a visit to Disney world but,, the budget has said nope nope nope. I can’t mortgage the house to just to visit Disney. I will continue to visit this website and others to visit vicariously through them.
By God if the railroad is closed before I get there in February, I will riot. It was closed in 2019 & 2021 when I last visited. Not to mention Disneyland RR was closed when I went in 2017.
Had my first visit last week with my daughters complete waste of time for me other than a few rides it’s just walking in the heat to stand in line unless u pay to skip which everyone does so u are in another line lol for is pretty trash chicken fingers fries 🤷🏽♂️ 2adults 2 kids 1400 bucks plus fast pass not worth it at 100 bucks to park u coukd go to Hershey park and have more fun
First, I really appreciate the Disney content and enjoy all the episodes you produce, but Disney is no longer the Land Walt built. I used to eagerly drive 24 hours multiple times a year to encounter the wonder of the imagination and hope that Walt planted in the Florida swampland. No longer, as corporate nonsense and divergence from financial affordability have diminished my ability to enjoy time there at this time. Thanks again for the content. I look forward to good news that you continue to find.
We will go for the 3th time in 4 years to Orlando next year, coming from Europe. Still probably go to the 4 parks but for the first time with a little mixed feelings. Come on Disney let's change for the better again.
One of the things I can’t stand about present day Disney parks is the apparent need to have an itinerary for your day at park. Having to plan out your whole day to make sure you don’t miss anything is such a tiring way to experience the parks. The days of just going to the parks and wandering around, riding rides as you feel like it and just enjoying the atmosphere are gone.
i mean, i just finished a year long college program and was in the parks every single day. i never went to tom sawyer island or the river boat. the area feels dated unfortunately and even for people who have all the time in the world at magic kingdom and no monetary pressure to get everything done, it still is not appealing enough to go on over other attractions. after they execute the expansion guests will be distributed more evenly across the park because at this time, frontierland (w the exception of tianas) looks and feels dusty and empty
I did go into Tom Sawyers on my first visit in 10 years. It was a nice break from the people and it was fun to explore. We watched a parade from there. It was awesome. I'm more of a Disneyland girly so maybe that's why I wanted to go there? Idk
Does anyone else remember when disney did a campaign to raise clothing donations and if you could fill one garbage bag full of clothes it was the equivalent to an adult ticket? Yeah they should bring that back. Realistically its families going. Families grow out of clothes after the hand-me-downs, its realisticlaly equivalent cash, but its so much better for public sentiment.
So sad that Disney has become so expensive. I revisited this year and found it nearly impossible to get on rides without waiting over an hour. I only had one day for Magic Kingdom. It felt like a a waste of big money. So sad because this is not what Walt Disney wanted.
Cars in frontier land is the absolute stupidest idea Disney has ever had i am perfectly willing to die on this hill i feel like it will make the park actively worse
Ticket prices have NEVER been an issue. So often do we hear complaints of how quickly prices for tickets go up. Yet it's always slammed. So apparently they haven't found the top yet where people can't afford to go. Also, no clue how they find it safe to swim the same day many fly. Look up decompression sickness or the bends. It's no joke. And it's unsafe.
It’s those annoying cost cutting measures whilst raising ticket prices that is the kicker. Getting rid of the shredded cheese in favor of the “P… and Butter” cheese on the chili dogs and closing the burger bar at Pecos Bill for instance.
Every change is terrible UNLESS you have massive wealth, in which case you can offset any inconvenience with a Amex black card. You know, just as Walt intended when he decided to build an affordable, fun family park to take his daughters.
So greedy. As if they don’t make enough money already. It’s already unaffordable for so many families. I hate them for raising the ticket prices like this.
As someone who used to be approved for DAS and have read about the absolute horror stories from those who have tried to interview, I can’t even handle signing up for an interview because I’m so terrified how badly it would affect my mental health. I think it’s because of the Premiere Pass that they changed DAS so much. It disgusts me.
Between closing the shooting gallery (my son's favorite thing to do) and closing Tom Sawyer Island (one of my favorites), we'll be visiting Universal the next trip we make. Disney needs to stop making changes for the sake of change.
I hope they are fixing the lap bar on thunder mountain 😂😂😂 bc I’m a 9 year old girl who held on for dear life on that ride I felt like I was gonna fly out
I haven’t been or taken any friends or Grandkids to Disneyland since they started the Fast Pass. Disney Corp has destroyed the average person from simply enjoying the experience that Walt Disney built. They turned enjoyment into stress and a “Grab all the money from the visitors that they can” attitude. It’s like watching a ship slowly sink.
We went on Halloween 2024. Got there when it opened, had to leave at 4 because the actual Halloween party tickets sold out before we even thought about going and we only got to ride SIX rides the entire time. Most awful experience I’ve ever had.
As for me, it would be RV camping in Smoky Mountains, and a cruise to Perfect Day at CocoCay. Disney today is spending five figures just to wait in lines for 95% of the day. I could definitely book a four day Royal Caribbean Cruise (with entry level interior cabin) for the same price as Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
So, in other words, classic Disney is fading away to make room for new Disney. One day none of retro classic Disney will be left. Disney will fail and close at some point and they are doing it to themselves. The park used to be affordable for the average middle-class family, but they are pricing the middle class out now.
My three kids are 16 13 &13. They’ve never been to Disney and ask us every year. Sadly we just can’t afford it. It’s not an experience everyone can afford and that’s okay.
This is upsetting. Going to Disney next year and it will be my kids first time. Bummed that so many places will be closed…especially big thunder mountain. It’s costing us about 7,000 for family of 5 NOT including flight…is it not worth it to go in 2025?
@@thunder4910 to be honest, I would postpone or go to Universal if you can. And I say this as someone who loves Disney. But, if you can’t do that, I think it will still be enjoyable. Just plan accordingly, which it seems like you are already doing. :)
You could go overseas and get a much more cultural and open minded experience for that price tag. It’d be less commercialised and you can still have a great time as a family. Have a look at all inclusive holiday deals, find somewhere with an amusement park etc: nearby that’s good and I bet your kids and yourselves would have a good time regardless. With these prices you might as well fly to Tokyo and go to the Disneyland there and get more out of your whole holiday. I’m serious.
I'm disappointed too. I'm travelling from Australia to visit Disney World and Universal for the first time towards the end of next year. I've been waiting 10 years to go, I won't postpone for another. Epic Universe, the new Universal park, will be open, but sad that so much of disney will be under construction and I'll miss my one shot to ride Big Thunder Mountain :(
While I absolutely empathize with the overwhelmingly negative comments here, this is nothing more sinister than simple supply and demand. Prices will continue to increase because park traffic remains high, and more guests are willing to pay extra for a "premium experience" to enjoy some of what used to be part of a regular park ticket. It's called "Shareholder Magic".
Ha, it'll be 'Big Thunder Mountain starring Harriett Tubman', since the fine folks over at Firaxis/Civ 7 seem to think the underground railroad was an actual railroad. Maybe it's ubiquitous on the Left. And it would fit with Disney's 'New Magic'.
I’m a lifelong central FL local and won’t be renewing my families APs after these past few years of horrible decisions. I even tried to cancel our current APs but Disney strong-armed me into staying in the contract. 😡💰💰
How great is that, they shut down a good portion of the park and raise the prices. Less attractions mean longer waits and not able to get to see all the attractions you want.
I Dare You To Compare The Disney's Price Changes With Fast Pass Ect Vs SKI RESORTS With Their EPIC Pass & ICON Passes & COMPARE. DISNEY VACATION VS A SKI RESORT Vacation. FOOD FOR THOUGHT!
What kind of ruined Disney for me most is those DAS changes. Hearing that many, many disabled folks who previously qualified for DAS no longer do, and that they now have to advocate for their needs at each and every ride - it’s discriminatory and ludicrous. While the disability I have doesn’t require DAS services (ADHD), I know firsthand how draining it is when you constantly have to explain your disability and advocate for yourself and your needs. I can’t imagine spending over $100 for a ticket just to spend all day advocating my needs every time I want to ride a ride during my vacation.
You know it's gotten bad when the fan accounts start turning :(

Now with this, you can buy it before you even enter the park, and NEVER have to touch your phone once.
The fee is there for that experience, to put your phone down!
I saw a video where the premiere pass was sold out for some days in December
But folks are buying it
I don't understand why you would ride the same ride more than once...there are too many rides to try in one day to repeat any!
Bahahaha only $20 next joke, more like $120-$600 per person per ride
We're lucky they don't charge us for riding the same ride more than once per day lol
@@vapidcity Don't give them any ideas. They'll want to go back to the A-E coupon system, but instead of 10-25 cent rides, they will be $20 per ticket.

Agreed. At universal when you stay at one of their premiere hotels your room key is also a express pass card. Universal is just better then Disney
I really can't.
💯
The only solution to queues is to go during the "green light" times - the lowest crowd times of the year. I will never wait in a line for more than 40 minutes, and depending on the time of day, some rides like Jungle Cruise and Pirates are just walk-ons, no line at all.
I can't but I'm not rich! There are plenty of things I have heard of in terms of price that I cannot image paying.

If you get the right promos you still can. 2 ppl going early Jan for a week for a little over 2k here
Staying at the resorts?
You haven’t missed much. The “Disney Difference” is gone along with any customer service mindset. I get treated better at a cheap Econo Lodge.
Raising prices and taking stuff away. I understand they gotta make a profit, but.....

Bye, Felicia. The lines are long enough. See, win-win!
I hear you on that. At least they give you a decent discount on annual pass renewals compared to purchasing a brand new annual pass.
Same with me. I haven’t been to the u in over 24 years. I’m buying an annual pass this month.
@@matchakit the ROI on annual pass holders, especially local annual pass holders is not a simple line item and won’t be fully seen for a few years. We bring in business in addition to ourselves.
Even to be able to buy them! )
-Having to depend on a smart phone and thinking that everyone has and knows how to use one (ask one of the many thousands of senior people that attend to the parks and pay to do so, if they finally learned how to use the Disney app before their day was over.

I wish Walt Disney would rise from his grave and fix all this mess. This is not his dream.

The faux disabled ruined it. Let's be honest.

It’s because they have debt from acquiring Fox and Disney + not being profitable. In top of that, you have to keep investors happy so this all equals raising prices. It’s horrible!
They’re employing the same strategy cable tv did. Continue to price hike in hopes that that those are willing to pay that price keep them afloat.
Because people keep showing up and forking over the money. We can complain all we want, but the reality is Disney is charging what the market will bear. If they're willing to pay it, charge it. Just that simple.

One of the things I can’t stand about present day Disney parks is the apparent need to have an itinerary for your day at park. Having to plan out your whole day to make sure you don’t miss anything is such a tiring way to experience the parks. Tianas bayou is a terrible reskin.. How do you go from a kitchen to a salt mine to a log in the middle of the bayou? No one ever explans this at all..
They really should have made it Amphibia themed...
I get to loose 4 of my favorites, Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, Shooting Gallery AND the Railroad.
THIS
THIS!
Since thunder is closing, they should just start in that cars land plan they got as well. Not that I want it, but the timing is there.
Guess there's no reason to go to WDW for awhile. . . .
Or these days…ever again.
There hasn't been any reason to go since at least 2001...
Walt disney world is a big toilet.
Disney needs to stop making changes for the sake of change.
a $200 cancellation fee should be criminal.
I hope they are fixing the lap bar on thunder mountain 😂😂😂 bc I’m a 9 year old girl who held on for dear life on that ride I felt like I was gonna fly out
every time Disney announces anything, it just makes me more and more excited for Epic Universe
AJ, you delivered some bad news with positive energy 😊 Good job!
We went on Halloween 2024. Got there when it opened, had to leave at 4 because the actual Halloween party tickets sold out before we even thought about going and we only got to ride SIX rides the entire time. Most awful experience I’ve ever had.
That Polynesian Island Tower is really lacking theming... I'm sure it will be nice but what makes that Disney?
Went this year and was disappointed with the food choices at the hotels and in the parks. Nothing was good to eat on the quick service plan.
It’s costing us about 7,000 for family of 5 NOT including flight…is it not worth it to go in 2025?
. its really not worth it at all anymore, but especially next year.
Epic Universe, the new Universal park, will be open, but sad that so much of disney will be under construction and I'll miss my one shot to ride Big Thunder Mountain :(
INSANE! I will NEVER go to Disney again.
Update: Lightning Lane is open and available to everyone now. Not just to those staying at a deluxe hotel.
We went to Dollywood this year and had a great time. You don’t have to be on your phone all day, and it’s a lot cheaper.
