I have lost 20-25 lbs over the last year, and this video highlights a lot of what I've found. 1. Walk 30-40 minutes every day. That's been my main exercise, and you will lose weight 2. No high sugar foods, soda, sports drinks. Your body quickly converts these to fat 3. Drink plenty of water. 4. Eat homemade foods. No KFC, Pizza, Burgers. If you work out 4 times a week, on top of walking, and eat sensibly, you will lose weight.
I disagree with that last tip. It's great to eat healthy and exercise, but don't measure yourself and take pictures of yourself. You can develop an obsession with it that can turn into an eating disorder.
or you can turn anorexic, because youve lost so much, every time you measure yourself and notice you got fatter but your still skinny you may want to loose more weight then you may try to force your food out by throwing up constantly and eventually become anorexic. but over all i agree with the rest, its better to follow the diet and be glad you achieved something, if you did something.
I like to measure myself. yes, that's right it may lead to eating disorder. but ignoring your own progress is not a good idea either. it is good to keep track of fitness actually weight is not good parameter. calculation of body fat percentage works best for me.

Just some tips from myself: If you're sick of gaining weight and not losing any, putting it off til another day is the worst way to lose motivation. As soon as you can, get stuck into a regular routine. Being confident that you will not give in, even to tempation of your friends eating in front of you. Rely on yourself for motivation, otherwise it can fall apart if you cling onto somebody else to motivate you. For exercises, if running is too hard, I suggest walking for 2-3 miles/kilometers at least 4 times a week, at the same time, every day. Allow that 4 days to become 5 or 6 days etc. If you need some sort of motivation, use music to push you further, matching the beat of the song to your workout rhythm. Also, a quick (and some say unhealthy) way to lose weight is not eating before walking/running. Your body requires something to burn off, it might be harder, but your body burns fat faster and quicker. Don't overwork yourself though. And finally, be prepared to "torture yourself". What I mean by that is to ignore cravings of food. It's too easy to eat in between meals, but it's important to let your body burn off an appropriate amount of food. Rather than feeding yourself. A good thing to keep in mind is knowing you will be disappointed in yourself if you keep eating junk, and let yourself go on a proper diet. Cut obvious sugar & fat. High fiber cereal with fruit and no added sugar is always a good option. Don't believe the lie that you should "reward" yourself with some fries and something once you've worked out. The real reward is looking back in 3 months and seeing the change that you brought to yourself. Feeling happy and confident. All the best. RIP fat.
I did not like this video. Insulin does not turn all excess sugar into fat. Converting sugar to fat is VERY inefficient. Also, eating several small meals a day does not increase the metabolism and makes no difference for fat loss/gain. Also, exercise affects muscles not body fat. One example would be sumo wrestlers who get a LOT of exercise and are also very fat.

Eat a diet of whole plant based foods without added salt, sweeteners, and oils. Salt, sweeteners, and oils are appetite stimulants. So when eating a diet without those things one can eat as much as desired, naturally lose weight, and get almost all of their nutrition from food. Since vitamin B12 is not usually in plant based food one would have to supplement that single vitamin.
So #2 avoid potatoes, and #6 eat potatoes, and sugar-packed cereals like Raisin Bran (18g of sugar) Cracklin' Oat Bran (15g of sugar) are good choices? Lots of good tips here, but some glaring issues.

Been bulking for 6months now and gained 36lb. Both Muscle and fat...and reached 21% BF. And there is nothing to stop me cut down to 8% BF. Actually, it doesn't make a difference what rice you eat as far as carbs is concerned. Brown rice has the same carb count as white rice.

I really want to get fit but i suffered a knee injury and the doctors told me i can no longer run, cycle, do anything that involves putting a lot of pressure on my knees. I was playing volleyball in a team every day and eating healthy but now i cannot do a lot of exercise. I am walking and doing a pretty extrem workout (no knee pressure thou) twice a week but i feel like it is not enough. Could someone help me?
