God Eater is an action adventure game based around a post-apocalyptic setting in Japan after most of the world has been destroyed by monsters. Soldiers called the "God Eaters" were trained to fight against monsters and build a Utopia for people to live in safety. This song is about the sacrifice of one soldier who will not survive the night but is comforted by the presence of a dear friend. Faced with imminent death, they wish they could have appreciated the preciousness of their life when they had the chance.
