Nothing beats the old school sound. Whether it's 70's, Oi!, Hardcore etc. I loved it when early punks band experiment with their sounds and eventually became something else. Eg. Napalm death (grindcore), Siouxie and the banshees (goth/death rock), D.R.I. (crossover), Bad brains (Hardcore), Discharge (d-beat), Amebix (Crust), Sham69(oi!), Crass (Anarcho) etc.

Se que muy pocos van a ver este comentario, pero Charlie puso SUS INFLUENCIAS en este video, porque hay muchos que preguntan "¿Por qué falta tal banda?" y generalmente nombran a bandas que tienen el mismo estilo de alguna de las que se muestran aca o quizá no le han influido en su musica.
Tambien hay comentarios que dicen "Tal banda no suena así", pero recordemos que este video muestra como el punk ha influido en SU musica y cómo él la aplica, no sean densos jajaja
Dejando todo de lado, buen video y me gustó mucho que menciones a Black Flag, mi banda favorita de hardcore y del punk en general

Technically speaking, yes, but in a sense, no. I'd look at it in waves the same way people look at ska. Earlier metalcore bands had punk influence in their sound, but modern metalcore bands have absolutely zero punk influence. The same could be said about post hardcore, emo, and screamo. All originating from the DC hardcore scene, but bands today sound nothing like Fugazi, Rites of Spring, etc

actually they're still 100% alive. they had revolution radio (2016) which had some good songs on it, then they made a compilation album with one new song on it (2017). i hope they keep making albums.

first off pop punk isnt anything but a bunch of bullshit. Your either Punk or your not. Greenday sure they sold out what ever. Billy Joe gotta be one of the greatest song writers of his era. If you dont think Greenday is Punk try listening to Insomiac that whole album is pure Punk in every sense. They still follow there roots. A lot of it is fluff and it drives me up the wall sure. In a ideological sense with American Idiot and Revolution Radio they are still Punk. Billy Joe has that natural punk chord progressions his voice his political stance. Sure Greenday has strayed off to the mainstream but be that as it may they are truly punk at heart. Punkers who grew up and chose punk as there life style know that they come from the scene and we know what punk is and what isnt. NOFX Rancid Swingin utters op Ivy Guttermouth the list goes on when it comes to true punk I mean for god sake's the Misfits is what got me into Punk Rock. I still to this day will defend Greenday to the teeth. Rather if you like it or not Billy Joe Mike and Tre just naturally got that Punk Rock attitude feel aggression Raw emotion. And you know what they are still fighting for Rock music in general and that is pretty damn great in this day and age of Biber Nikki manaj pop drivel world we live in today.
