I have the original Sar 9 from almost two years ago. I am thankful that they finally got magazines available which were hard to come by for awhile. I love the manual safety. For what I paid ( under $300), it's a great reliable 9mm that shoots exceptionally well.
I have had the regular Sar9 for about 5 years. Over time the trigger gets better. Definitely not a match trigger but i like it. Sar 9 is one of my favorites in my collection especially for what i paid for it.
@desperateneedofscotch I agree. I'm not bashing Glocks but Sar 9 feels better in the hand by far to me. I've never had one malfunction out of it I probably shoot it better than any pistols I own including my CZs. And I'm a CZ fanboy.
I've had a lot of guns since 2007 when I got My permit.... My SAR 9 full size and compact unit are exceptional! Such fun to shoot, accurate, reliable, comfortable. They're clearly top 5 material! Great video, Tim. Thanks for sharing.
The Sar ambi safety is the key feature that separates it from Glock. Knowing how to use the conceal carry friendly Sar Safety or any other manual safety makes you more smart and less stupid. Glock striker spring cups work, Sar chassis disassembly and tweaking is not simple like Glock, Sar piece parts are not readily available like Glock. Is the Sar9 a Good Firearm? I would not own 4 if they were not.
I am a SAR 9 owner. I have the regular one not the sport. It feels great in the hand and shoots well. But at that price just buy a Canik. Canik still offers more for the money, a better mounting system for your optic and a better trigger.
@@Slay_No_More having used both the canik and the P10, I can say without hesitation that the canik is easily 90% the quality (depending on which particular things you prefer) and the canik trigger is massively better than the p10/p10c. For the price it's probably the second best value on the market today. Only downside is they don't yet have a slim version to compete with the P365/hellcat.
I have the original SAR9 and love it. I upgraded to a flat trigger, lighter spring and safety delete (Galloway Precision). It has a short take up, crisp lightweight pull (trigger spring kit) and quick reset. I need get the slides milled for green dot optics. Love the firearm.
Mag compatability? If so I’m interested. If they’re proprietary I’m not getting into any more mag systems when I’ve already got a half-dozen+ each for Sig P226s, Beretta 92s, Canik TP9s, Springfield XDMs, and CZ 75s & P10s, etc.
Im still waiting for you to drop a video on the SAR SOCOM 9 OR EVEN ONE OF THEIR GEN 2 SUBS BUT THE SOCOM 9 IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST ! ITS BECOMING A STAPLE . NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS BUDGET MILITARY PISTOL . . . AN ABSOLUTE BEAST OF A UNIT
"A US F-16 fighter jet shot down an armed Turkish drone in northeast Syria that was operating near US military personnel and Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces, officials familiar with the incident told CNN. The US assessed the armed drone posed a potential threat and issued more than a dozen warnings before shooting it down, the officials said. It is unclear how the warnings were issued. US forces exercised their right to self-defense in shooting down the drone, officials said." Some US gun channels advertise Turkish firearms, because they place a fist full of dollars before their own country.
Where do you recommend finding military surplus ak magazines? I’m looking for the classic 1960s/70s steel and bakelite, but have only encountered modern ones
I will buy all of the Sar9’s if someone could just please tell me if this will accept a Glock aftermarket trigger. You could also apply that to the Stoeger pistols.
I'd buy a Tisas PX9 before this. If they are selling this as a competition pistol it needs to be optic cut because carry optics is pretty much the division for USPSA these days because you get full capacity 141mm mags and its scored minor
I own the standard Sar9. I put the Galloway trigger, spring kit and stainless steel recoil guide rod and spring and it made it a very pleasurable gun compared to what it was out of the box. At very little added cost I might add
What do you mean by “the military handgun”? Are you talking about the current US Army handgun or military handgun used by other countries (Turkey)? I don’t think SAR sells anything that is resembles the current US Army handgun.
Just saw a picture where one of these shot the backplate and striker out and into the shooter’s cheekbone. Not sure I feel comfortable giving these dudes money after seeing that.
Curious to know which NATO countries' militaries use arms from Sarsılmaz, as the Turkish regime is doing its best to get on the wrong side of every other NATO member country these days. I tried googling, but came up empty.
Found the SAR 9 Sport two tone for $500 online, but I can pickup a used G19 for $500 so why would I want an inferior clone that doesn't use glock magazines
That's the same gun that launched the striker assembly into that Turkish police officer's eye when firing +P ammo. Sad that bottom of the barrel designs like this are going mainstream.

“Heckther & Gloch” (H&K + Walther + Glock) 😂
Galloway Precision has a safety delete and a lighter trigger spring makes the gun nice.
Just got my SAR9C and can''t wait to do my first 100! I managed to find one with a silver slide and it looks really cool. Feels fantastic in the hand.
I have the P8L, basically a CZ clone that shoots awesome. SARUSA makes pretty decent stuff.

I bought a regular Sar 9 last year. A local store had a sale $300. I couldn't pass it up.
Mine was $250 😬 Absolutely love it!!
Love my Sar 9. Bought it day after my 21st
Fun fact about the sar 9 if u shine an led light on the sights for a bit they glow in the dark
Thanks

When we got SAR9 first in the shop, we all said it looked like a Glock slide on a VP9 frame. LOL
Great review on the SAR 9 sport👍🇺🇸
Thanks Mac....l am in my 80's and not much of a fan of plastic lowers but i like this Gun OK...
Old Navy Flying Shoe...F-4 Phantom 2 🇺🇸
Sounds like a life well lived. Appreciate your service.
Ive had the regular sar 9 was very reliable the only gripe i have is the cost of mags $37 + shipping
My Sar9 is sweet. My K12 sport is real sweet.
Seen these for as low as 369 on gun deals. lots of gun for that price!!!

can you do a review of a Tikka Tac A1 6.5 creedmoore?
The trigger issues are not "polymer on polymer".
A Glock 34 had a love child with a VP9L. What’s the red triangle thingy on the trigger?
How about a group on paper?
How would this compare with canik mete sfx
No lubrication... Do you also run your car engine without lubrication ?

Where do you recommend finding military surplus ak magazines? I’m looking for the classic 1960s/70s steel and bakelite, but have only encountered modern ones
Have you tried defensive type ammo in it or any of the SAR pistols? And would you consider it as an option for a dedicated home defense pistol?
Is that a AUS Camo shirt?
Magazine compatibility?
Thank you for review, love this channel 💪🏾
Are they sending this gun out to every guntuber or you and Colion Noir are competing? Lol anyhow, interesting gun. 👍🏽
That’s exactly what they are doing, like pretty much every other company these days I guess
That's how it works. Certain RUclipsr receive compensation for doing gun reviews.
They even custom gift package them to the Tubers a lot of times. You should see what they give Talon Sei and John Lovell
Colion is shooting a sar9 socom i like Socom alot better 😊
Now you’re learning how the system works ha
Q. WHY would you refuse to put even a few drops of oil on a BRAND NEW $700. gun? I don't know of any shooter that does this with any new purchase 🤔.
Speaking of the Sat wheel Guns, I’m finding it very difficult to locate them, at least in the Midwest, which I find very disappointing😢
The Walther PPQ we have at home

Basically the same gun you derided prior, except this time you are shooting the correct ammo and saying much better things about it.
This reminds me of a Canik.
We have Glock VP9 at home.
That looks like a horrible trigger, lots of stacking. How many false walls are there?
How much did they pay tim? I hear that “I hate this let’s get it over with” tone.
I can buy a real HK vp9 for $579. I actually just did. Tonight.

This guy had problems with original SAR 9. Malfunctions.
Is it a canik production ?
No! Sarsilmaz is a direct Competitor to Canik, in Turkey
