A fun fact for Equinox: If you use Wisp's Agile Animation set, she will split into a clone of herself and basically fly in a small circle before rejoining. If you are playing as Equinox, doing this will actually split Equinox into her Day and Night form instead.
Someone else has probably already pointed this out, but the reason people sometimes call Vauban “Booben” is because of a now infamous forum post of a very confused player asking in broken English: “how is booben formed?”. Obviously, the people that wanted to help tried to make the original poster clarify, to which he simply replied with a grainy image of Vauban, caption “Booben”.
Another Gara fun fact, so far she's the only confirmed volunteer to the warframe transformation process, she LITERALLY went up to Ballas and the higher ups and said she wanted to volunteer despite possibly knowing how BRUTAL both physically AND mentally shattering the process is
@@naomikon_Her Prime trailer, Ballas tells us that she volunteered. To my knowledge that's like the only confirmed case we have of someone willingly choosing to be a warframe
On top of this, the reason gara has glass powers specifically is because nihil (the guy who glassed people for a living) wanted her glassed "for her presumption." Everyone laughed at the suggestion, and ballas was like "lol okay, I'll glass her😈"
Fact: Caliban’s name comes from a character from Shakesphere’s play called the tempest and this character was depicted to be half man and half monster, referencing Caliban being half warframe and sentient.
I gotta say, Gara’s backstory has gotta be one of the most saddest one. Left alone to fight with no one to help and at the end needing to sacrifice herself in order to protect 😢
Another fact for Wukong and Nezha, they are both from the same Chinese story, A Journey to the West. Wukong being the Handsome Monkey King, Great Sage equal to Heaven, while Nezha was a servant of the heavens sent to fight Wukong. Their signature weapons were also incorporated into their frames. Wukongs golden staff became the exalted Iron Staff, and nezhas spear is used in his ultimate ability Divine Spears. (Sorry for the long post. )
@@LegendStormcrow stupid ass Goku is a ripoff of wukong dragon ball was made in 1980 while journey to the West was made in the 1500 or something like that
Valkyr "shpiel" is that she was a healer - "bringing fallen heroes from the battlefield" - yet due to _insert spoiler_ about her past events and how you get here, changed 'profession' towards "i get mad u get ded"
To elaborate on Valkyr: Valkyr is based on the Valkyries indeed and her cat like design is linked to Freya who is the queen of Valkyrie. It was said she had a chariot that was pulled by cats so it Links up and matches.
Xaku doesn't really have a specific gender because they're made up of multiple warframes, so pronouns for a singular person don't make sense. Calling them "they/them" as a group is technically correct because it is plural, they are more than one person. As opposed to calling someone "they/them" because they are a singular person that looks ambigious. Nezha is joked about often because they look feminine. Most of the male warframes are very masculine. The term that gets people banned while talking about them is for very good reason, it's derogatory. Nezha is explicitly stated to be referred to as he/him so there is no ambiguity there. Calling them that derogatory term is implying you are being misled, which isn't the case. I feel like the Warframe staff take it much too seriously. Warframes crafted at the foundry have no implicit gender because they had no host to begin with. However, it is very obvious what body type they are based on. But if it keeps the actual malicious people from really upsetting people, I guess it's justified.
fun fact Valkyr prime is the only prime frame whose trailer didn't mention her name. Because by lore, her original name is Gersemi until later event, which turned her the way she is, made her Valkyr.
Valkyr prime still uses Valkyr's skill, even in the trailer, whitch is a plot hole. Or we assume that Gersemi already had these skills, and the experiment just gave her a rage boost
@@HIO_TriXHunt that was always my logic of it. That the corpus experimented on her and where not able to really do anything substantially different from original moveset. Most of what they managed to change would be her mental state from a calm collected tenno to an enraged cat.
@@HIO_TriXHunt She was subject to experiments, but to my knowledge it was never stated that the experiments is what gave her the abilities she has today. The only plot hole is her prime being “unscathed my malice” or whatever, but doesn’t look like Gersemi Skin, which is her before the experiments. DE didn’t think this through so they just designed her prime differently, because if her prime looks like Gersemi, then what’s the point in purchasing the Gersemi skin anyway?
@@chaoshonako9780My theory is that Gersemi is the actual "regular" version, the true equivalent of the rest of the non-prime cast. Regular "scarred" Valkyr is the default look because, well, the experiments already happened...
Grendel can eat the grenades some enemies throw. Also, if you subsume Nezha's firewalker it still works with Pulverize. I call this move "the spicy meatball"
Another fun fact: The original limbo did math so hard that he died, he went beyond infinite IQ mode and because being confident and wanted to do a big leap in the rift, he ended scatering the warframe parts all around, since the rift meaning messing with the void and reality and pushem em aside and walk in between, the math was hard because void already breakes phisics rules of time and space, but now you can push that to a side using the void itself to be in a plane of reality that it isnt, A blanket of reality and void, both at the same time.
@@EngagingOverImmersive its a way of saying, he got obsessed with a concept he came up with and couldnt be proven because the void existed, but the existance of the void itself was the clue for the og limbo, and since math is not a constant when is about the void, he managed to calculate and brought into exsistence the rift to both planes, thats why the rift isnt neither void nor reality, but the film in between the two, but only because the void exsists to begin with, and the issue with the void is the lack of constant flow of time and space, hence why when he did the first rift jump, he got scatered thru time and space, and because warframes have a small shard of its original user, the warframe knows mathematically how to enter the rift and get out at will, he discovered what wasnt there to be found, and because he found it bassically he got admin access inside it, too bad og limbo didnt lived to enjoy that part.
Another fun fact about Valkyr: her alt helmet, Bastet, is named after the Egyptian goddess bastet. She was the goddess of protection, pleasure and the bringer of good health and she had the head of a cat
Another thing about chroma being a dragon, his signature weapon prime, gram, in mythology was the sword used by sigurd to kill the dragon fafnir so chroma uses a dragonslayer sword being himself a dragon
Something to clear up on Garuda, it's a male in Hindu mythology and also a vehicle to Vishnu who is the preserver of the universe (sort of like a maintainer). Just to add so clarification on the vehicle part, all gods have vehicles which are usually just animals (Garuda being the only exception I know of) they use as a mode of transport long distances some examples are a donkey, an elephant, and a mouse. This is all off the top of my head that my dad told me about a while ago, so cut me some slack for minor inaccuracies & if you want more Hindu facts feel free to comment I'll answer to the best of my ability, but I'm not as knowledgeable with Hindu mythology as my dad or Wikipedia is. Anyway if you read this far I hope you have a good day and a good life also never give up :D
Unless some of the new frames have changed this fact I'm pretty sure Valkyr is still the only (and the first) to do any kind of actual vocalizations of her own with the scream of her hysteria.
Two things 1) I actually was there during the tail end of the closed beta period, I saw many people use the Loki exploit since you could get places and made it impossible for enemies to hurt the cryopod. 2) if my memory serves me right, Oberon was the first warframe to monotype a combined element, which was radiation, since the only other elemental monotype frames were frost and ember. And before anyone says anything, og mag didn’t do magnetic damage with her shield drain skill, she just dropped enemy shields. Bonus fact not for warframes: The Seargant is one of the oldest bosses in the game with the least changes, I think Captain and Corrupted Vor are the only other 2. Also rip to J3 who was replaced with Jordas, and orange Alad V who was replaced with blue Alad V then corrupted Alad V
@@ScripulousFingore6133 as someone whose favorite frame is Zephyr, I definitely know, I just have enough sense to know that it was a bait bit kinda like he admitted doing for Nezha
Another couple facts for Nezha. Those who knew the origins of Nezha's name would have known his gender immediately as Nezha is the name of a protection deity in Chinese mythology. Also frequently referred to as "the third lotus prince", he's almost always depicted appearing more feminine, often with his hair in buns. As for my other fact: Nezha's empyrean skin is actually named after the Empyrean Heaven, believed in geocentric theory to be the highest heaven, located beyond the celestial spheres and occupied by the element of Fire. In Christian and Muslim mythologies, the Empyrean Heaven is also believed to be the highest heaven, the place where God himself lives
Another fun fact from Inaros, in Egypt there were 2 crowns representing the high and low Egypt, Inaros Prime's helmet is the combination of both crowns, which also is something they did to represent the king of Egypt iirc
Valkyr fun fact: Valkyr's cat-Like appearance might be linked to Freya's chariot pulled by huge cats. Freya is often seen as the head of the Valkyries.
3:56 I have tried them all! You actually forgot the conclave one where his speed gets a duration boost after touching an opponent. On the subject of conclave, Nidus' fun fact is true in PvE, but Inaros also has passive regen in PvP
Also on Octavia, Her idle animations are Mo-capped by DE Danielle Correction on Trinity: Her name comes from both things you mentioned instead of it being either one or the other. She is both made after the concept of Trinity and can Deal damage, Heal and Tank with the damage reduction from her 3 and 4 at the same time and she is made to complete the Trinity of gaming in Warframe which being, Healer, Tank, DPS by being the first healer in the game and the only healer among the original 6 Warframes. Also on Harrow, Thurible is the name of his exalted flail he swings around when he uses his abilities, its a flail which also acts as a censer, aka. an actual thurible. Also on Equinox, When Equinox came out, it was revealed that Equinox was the combination of the Female Night form and the Male Day form and that it had no gender. But as they wanted to open up a Chinese server and the fact that Chinese religion sees two genders being in one body is a sign of devil and that its unacceptable, they had to retcon it so now, the game refers to both forms as female. She just becomes muscular at day form and elegant at night form. If you use way back machine to enter the now unavailable reveal page of Equinox, Equinox is constantly referred to as "They". So, technically speaking, Xaku isn't the only Warframe in the game with no gender. Also on Lavos, This was the first patch where Reb did "the stream right before the mainline patch" thing instead of Steve. As Reb was talking about what is coming in the patch, she started talking about the development of Lavos and during it, Steve sent a message to her, asking her to mention that Lavos' development name was Edward, referencing to the main character of the anime Full Metal Alchemist. Reb says it out loud while laughing as to explain why her phone made a noise since it was close to her pc and her mic picked up the vibration sound the phone made. We currently don't know if this was a joke or not since alot of people seemingly missed her saying this in the stream so noone asked them if this is actually real or not. Also on Atlas, 1 - His development name was Brawler. 2 - With the release of Atlas Prime, they wanted to test primed interactions which they seemingly dropped. So, currently Atlas is the only warframe with primed signature weapon interaction. He gets more status chance from the signature weapon interaction if he uses Tekko Prime instead of Tekko and also if I'm not wrong, if he is Atlas or Atlas prime. He gets up to 32% status chance if he is both Atlas Prime and using Tekko Prime.
Since this video has been released, I'll add Citrine and Kullervo myself: 1. Citrine is a real mineral variant of quarts. Citrine's original design featured purple geodes instead of the yellow/golden shade we have today. A real citrine is yellowish/golden, but commercially made citrines are heat-treated amethysts which are purple turned gold. The devs ended up with the golden shade because citrine is golden. Unconfirmed if intentional or not, probably not, Dagonic and Heciphron are in-game resources found on Deimos and in the right shade of Citrine's golden geode, which are close to where you actually find Citrine's parts on Mars. Despite that, they are not required to build Citrine. Instead you need Faceted Tiametrite, Stellated Necrathene and Argon Crystal, all are shades of purple. 2. We get in game-lore as to what crimes Kullervo was held against and why he was imprisoned. The numerus daggers stuck in his body suggests that there might actually be more to the punishment: a fate only shared by the Drifter: "Death by IMPALEMENT!" (repeated).
In native brazilian folklore there is the Mapinguari, he is like the bigfoot but with a mouth on the belly. I dont know if it is a coincidence or not, but this is the first thing I remember seeing Grendel
Slight correction: the term Trinity and the symbol shown here is originally more prevalent in Norse mythology being a reference to the trio goddesses known simply as the maiden, the mother, and the crone. These 3 goddesses are meant to represent the passing of time through life and gaining wisdom and knowledge as you get older.
Don't know if anyone already said this, but proto excal and nemesis nyx skins are respectively skins from the protag and final boss of dark sector, as does the glaive. Also, the secondary skins from last nightwave are weapons from dark sector, used by three protag
Another fun fact about Chroma: his “Drac” alternate helmet was originally going to be his default one until DE changed it because the community started complaining that he looked ugly in a reveal
I do like Harrow’s lore for his four. Since Covenant is a deal between God and Humans it only makes sense that whenever you activate his 4 he becomes invincible for a certain period of time and when the invincibility is gone, now he does a bunch of damage. It’s kinda like how people sacrifice something to a god for something else.
Another fun fact about Warframe is that the devs really know how to design some attractive warframes. Since wisp doesn't have feet, one of her alternates animation sets literally has her shaking her ass at the player as she moves along. And come on have you seen hildren?
Actually, Wisp does have feet. They said you can't see them because they are protruding into the dimension she summons her space cabbages from. So, like Limbo some of her abilities involve tapping into another dimension of existence.
@ 13:53 “Stairway to Heaven” is actually a reference to the Led Zeppelin song of the same name, and is considered to be one of, if not THE most influential and popular songs in modern music. If you haven’t heard it yet it’s an absolute banger
i know its been a while since this video was released, but just as hildryn uses shields to cast railjack abilities, lavos can cast them without energy and they have a cooldown just like himself
Nekros then is technically a slasher since he works better with slash weapons, causing his enemies to get cut up into pieces making his desecrate more effective. Plus with the friday the 13th thing.
I always refered to Xaku as they/them because I simply couldn't tell what they were supposed to be. I think they're a neat Frame to play, love the Skeleton look they have. Thanks for the Nekros 666 Shields note, I didn't know that was a thing
They are a they/them, it's easier to think of them, instead of as a person, as 3 (or more, I forget) mutilated corpses fused together through the power of space magic and hive mind goo :D
My favorite fact about Baruuk is that the placeholder text for too much Restraint whenever you try to use his 4 is "Not edgy enough", had it pop up a few days after his release.
One thing I'm kinda confused on is in lore are Warframe sentient beings with their own will and stuff or are there unknown operators controlling them or is that just a game mechanic? One more thing are there more than 1 of the same, like will a volt show up somewhere and then another volt will 5 seconds later?
I believe the frames fighting in the old war were sentient to a degree, and ofc there’s the whole part where your frame pulls out that sword from his chest in the cutscene. But I’m pretty sure the only Frame that’s known to be sentient is Umbra Excalibur
The way I see it. This is just my belief and speculation. The are sentient to a degree. But they are in a coma/sleep like state. Because when one gets turned into a Warframe. It’s a painful and traumatic experience. They can see their bodies being used. But it’s like watching TV while being sleepy/being high. Where as Tenno give their bodies energy because of we are literal batteries of Void Energy. The only exception of course is Umbra. But Ballas did a lot of tweaking on Umbra so I can’t explain about him as much because I don’t know.
@@andrewseet4408 oh so the Operators aren't controlling them they're just giving them full and when they come into a mission the reason they stop moving is because there have basically been unplugged
The process that turned the dax warriors into warframes shatters their mind, the operator is able to commune with the frames broken mind and "pilot" it. Umbra is the exception to this because his rage let him partially keep his sapience. I believe there are more than one of each frame, they were created to be weapons that fought all over our system, having only 50 soldiers is a terrible idea if trying to win a war.
Yes he's the very 1st frame and yes Dark Sector game mc name was Derek Tenno his original design is also the Proto deluxe skin which fully references that original game also Nyx proto skin is also from that game to end here his last name is also what the operator in WF are called Nyx was a friend that had been turned against him in that game that you had to fight and eventually kill which saden him but he had to keep on going plus her body was bein controlled by the main villain but I'll end it here
another fun fact, the design of chroma as suggested by his development name dragon, is most likely based on the chromatic dragons in Dungeons and Dragons. In D&D there are the metalic dragons, and the chromatic dragons, with the chromatic dragons being the evil ones, and the colour of dragon often determines not only the personality of the dragon, but also the type of element affinty they had and which element they could use for their breath weapon, which matches the elemental types chroma can use. Red for fire, blue for lighting, green for poison and white for cold. The only one missing of the main chromatic dragons is the black dragon which could breath acid, but given that you would have to give him corrosive damage, which is a combined element it kinda make sense.
@@llbonkllanother fact about chroma, is without his effigy (at least for the normal variant’s default design) he resembles the Dark Sector enemy of the same name, which warframe’s the spirtual successor of and another game made by DE, so Chroma is actually one of the few references to Dark Sector in the game
Have a nitpick or two: Gauss' name likely was chosen because of the gauss rifle which uses electromagnetism to accellerate lunks of metal that deal damage via kinetic impact. Which is why liches he spawns have impact element and it is perfectly fine to mach rush him into every wall. He is the projectile. Rhino has essays of background to pick from. Same applies to Nezha by the way. Garuda, carrier of Vishnu, is depicted as very male. Zephyr is a girl. Nice compilation, tho.
Regarding the "1st frame to fight sentients" thing, Excalibur Prime was actually the first frame made to combat the Sentients. Just read Excal Primes Codex entry.
Technically incorrect, the proto warframes were first. The ones that had to be put down because they were driven mad by the helminth used to create them. Now, with WF1999, Arthur was one of the first. Somehow, Albrecht was able to create or take with him the helminth strain into the past and create warframes that are able to remain part human. Creating warframes before even Ballas could discover the process.
@tomd96 No, per in-game Codex entries. Excalibur Prime entry : "The Sentients had won. They had turned our weapons, our technology, against us. The more advanced we became, the greater our losses. The war was over unless we found a new way. In our desperation, we turned to the Void. The blinding night, the hellspace where our science and reason failed. We took the twisted few that had returned from that place. We built a frame around them, a conduit of their affliction. Gave them the weapons of the old ways. Gun and blade. A new warrior, a new code was born. These rejects, these Tenno, became our saviors. Warrior-Gods cast in steel and furry striking our enemies in a way they could never comprehend. Excalibur was the First"
Xaku fun fact, this frame was actually designed by the design council and not DE itself, being what I believe is the first frame not purely being DEs design
Another fun fact about Valkyr: originally she had a different description that hinted to a much more horrifying and darker past. "Forged in the labs of the Zanuka project, the original Valkyr was subject to cruel experiments, leaving her scarred, angry and frighteningly adept at killing." Her appearance also reinforces this as the remnants of the restraints that are placed all over her are clearly of Corpus origin. I wish so badly that DE expanded on her by giving her a Harrow-style quest. I can already invision how the quest would play.
Fun fact for Valkyr: Valkyr, by lore of the game, is not her original Name, Look, nor Power set. Valkyr was "created" when Alad V captured and unknown frame, tortured her, preformed experiments on her, and then skinned her alive to create his "Hound", Zanuka. By this lore, Valkyr prime should not exist and should be a prime variant of a frame we have no access to. Valkyr fact 2: She was the first (and maybe only, cant remember) Frame to be voiced by an actress for the game... and all she can do is scream...
Cool video. You caught me on not knowing a few of them, but I don't think Leverian, Quest or Fragment lore is appropriate here. Here are some facts that I've gathered over the years, some duplicate from other comments, some more historical, and in no particular structure: -Ash: You can Teleport onto a Blade Storm target to join your duplicates. Also, a previous version of Blade Storm, which many people called a "cutscene", required no manual targeting and always forced Ash to join his clones. I believe he's also the first frame to receive a second deluxe skin. -Atlas: Named after the titan from Greek Mythology. -Banshee: Resonating Quake used to gradually increase range, damage and energy drain while Sound Quake was in use. It was excellent for cheesing starchart defense missions. Her Sound Quake is also one of the few abilities whose rank decreases energy drain. -Baruuk: I can't confirm this, but I swear I've read somewhere that he was themed after some monkey, probably a baboon. -Caliban: Is the first male frame to have a flying animation. -Chroma: His name means "color" in Greek and is shared with a darkSector enemy. Upon release of the Guided Effigy augment, Red Text themselves challenged Zanagoth, a (then) Warframe RUclipsr, and his mates to complete a Raid with 8 Guided Effigy Chromas; he delivered not too long after. -Ember: Her 2nd ability, Immolation, is the first case of an ability, at least in concept, being "re-added" to a frame. Immolation replaced Accelerant in 2019, which itself replaced Overheat in 2013, an ability that gave Ember a fire aura and damage reduction. -Equinox: She is the only base frame with non-standard build requirements, requiring two different sets of neuroptics, chassis, systems and "form" blueprints for 156 hours of crafting at minimum. She is also the only base frame that requires a Forma to build. -Excalibur: The icon for Radial Blind is the "placeholder" icon for abilities. -Frost: Frost Prime is the first craftable Prime, and (AFAIK) the only one that had a part drop through a non-standard method; namely, his blueprint was given as a reward for the Fusion Moa event. -Gara: Her default helmet used to be what is now known as the Virago helmet, but they were swapped during development. -Garuda: Her Bathory helmet is most likely based on Elizabeth Bathory, whose story is a bit inappropriate to tell through comments. She was also regarded by DE themselves as the metaphorical "other side of the coin" to Valkyr, representing a more "detached" killer. -Gauss: His alt helmet, named Mag, is a deliberate play on Mag's Gauss helmet. He's also canonically buddies with Grendel and both were planned to release together, but Grendel was delayed to the next update. -Grendel: Has jiggle physics on his belly, especially when it's full. -Gyre: Prompts unique dialogue with Quinn. She's also the 5th frame whose name starts with 'G'. -Harrow: Since Ash and Oberon were damned to Railjack purgatory, Harrow is now the only frame that has a part drop from non-boss enemies. -Hildryn: She's the first frame to not cast from energy. -Hydroid: Famously, Hydroid Prime's trailer was only released 3 years after the Prime itself was released. He was already vaulted by then. -Inaros: He is the first of two frames to have 0 shields, and because of this, Hijack objectives drain his health to move. Inaros Prime prompts unique dialogue from Baro Ki'teer. -Ivara: Her Prime's unique invisibility effect had to be toned down due to reported eye-strain from players. Notably, one of the concepts for her Navigator augment allowed her to teleport to wherever the controlled projectile ended up, but that had to be cut due to concerns with punch-through, I believe. -Khora: Her abilities were originally meant to show off the now-scrapped Damage 2.5, specifically the physical types. You can still see remnants of that on Khora herself when switching Venari's mode: Heal for Slash, Protect for Impact and Attack for Puncture. -Lavos: Named after a very notable chemist, Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier. He's also the only frame so far to have a unique "5th power stat", namely status duration. -Limbo: I haven't tested this in a while, but you can softlock yourself as Limbo in any Mobile Defense if you enter Cataclysm, try rolling out of the Rift and insert the lunchbox in a terminal during the few frames where you actually leave. He's also the only frame so far to have an ability become a passive during a rework (namely, his Rift Walk), and the first frame to have unique animations (namely, his roll). -Loki: Can Switch Teleport onto PoE Dargyns. His Decoy changes models to match the caster's frame when infusing it via Helminth, and uses a Lex Prime when cast by a Prime frame. -Mag: She is the single most tweaked and rebalanced frame. Her patch notes probably rival the word count of some small novels. -Mesa: She is referred to as "cowgirl" in the game files. -Mirage: Her Hall of Mirrors's cast animation was added by player request upon the release of the Mirage Prime trailer, where it previously was the same as Eclipse's. -Nekros: Out of every frame whose parts drop from bosses (i.e.: only neuroptics, chassis and systems), Nekros is the only one that has equal odds for every part, where normally the systems drop less frequently. -Nezha: Along with Wukong and Excalibur Umbra, Nezha used to be a China exclusive. His name shares origins with Wukong, being from Journey to the West. -Nidus: He is the first frame with unique HUD elements, namely, his Mutation Stack counter. He's also the reason why your frames have pimples, as he was the only frame that could access the Helminth room before a future update. At that point, the only function of the room was to inject Nidus with the pimple, and, since it wouldn't be removeable until 3 weeks later, the game experienced a fashion-ruining outbreak. -Nova: She is either the shortest frame in the game or "competing" for that spot with Titania. She's also the first frame to receive design input from people outside DE, namely, the Design Council. -Nyx: Her Nemesis skin is most likely a direct reference to the Nemesis armor from darkSector. -Oberon: His parts used to drop from the then weaker Eximus enemies before being banished to Railjack. -Octavia: Notably, has not been nerfed since her release in 2017. In fact, you can argue she has only gotten buffs. -Protea: Was referred to by DE themselves as Vauban's cousin or similar. -Revenant: Reave's ability video still uses the old visual effect where Revenant becomes a mist rectangle. -Rhino: His Prime's face looks like a Void Key. His Prime's Codex entry is also one of the few that differs from the Arsenal's description, containing an entire extensive lore entry. -Saryn: Some of her ability SFXs are actually voice clips performed by [DE]Danielle, the most noticeable of which is probably her Miasma. I believe that she (Saryn) also has the largest bust size out of every frame, according to some post on Reddit. -Sevagoth: His alt helmet, Lucifuge, is probably named after the Prime Minister of Hell from the Grand Grimoire, their own name meaning "disliking the light and sun". -Styanax: As the 50th frame, he has a more "classic" design, both visually and mechanically, but adapted for what the game is today. -Titania: Shares her name with a mission on Uranus, which is also alledgedly mispronounced by DE themselves, according to the Oxford Dictionary. She's also the first frame with flying animations. -Trinity: At several points, her Link could redirect self-damage to enemies, making her a great DPS frame. -Valkyr: I can't find any source on this, but Hysteria was alledgedly nerfed by having its damage reduction deliberately increased to 100% to avoid synergy with the Rage mod. Her Rip Line used to pull players as well, to predictable results. -Vauban: Used to have an ability called Bounce, which deployed a bounce pad with no practical use other than trolling other Tenno. It still exists in spirit as his Vector Pad. -Volt: His passive affects things like fishing poles and mining lasers. Speed also used to drop a pickup that applied Speed to players as opposed to just applying Speed to nearby allies. -Voruna: She was designed in collaboration with Joe Madureira, notable for being the creative director of Darksiders and renowned artist in his own right. -Wukong: His Defy once allowed him to self-revive infinitely, as long as he had energy to spare. Unfortunately, he was garbage then, so you couldn't do anything with that. -Xaku: Since DE follows a strict "2 males, then 2 females" release schedule for Prime frames, it is unclear when Xaku Prime will release and whether or not DE will break their decade-long streak for them specifically. Their general design was suggested by the community, as they're supposed to be the "community-designed" frame after Nova, but I believe the "broken frame" theme was submitted as a meme. -Yareli: Similar to Protea and Vauban's pseudo-canon familial relationship, Yareli and Hydroid are siblings according to [DE]Rebecca. She's also supposed to be the "youngest" frame. -Zephyr: If you click the 'Z' on her appearance tab, you can play a Flappy Bird clone and place on a global leaderboard accessible under Profile in the ESC menu. Her Prime's "feathers" expand when she's airborne.
We are talking about a machine. I propose the "it" pronouns. On top of that, personally I'd default to "she" because of the physical appearance of Xaku's shell, hourglass figure and a very feminine rear. Also the true body is a metal skeleton, so it is really just walking metal bones
Correction about Styanax (or rather Troy): while Styanax is undoubtably based on Greek Hoplites, Troy is not considered by historians to be one of Ancient Greece's many kingdoms but rather its own separate thing, even being said to have its own language. Also happy that someone acknowledges that he's Trojan because there are way too many people calling Styanax "The Spartan".
Extra Hyldryn fact, hyldryn has no unique passive as she was used to test shield gating which is now a universal player mechanic, her passive wasn't updated along with the mechanic
Yes. Caliban and Excalibur were two of four sibling blades. Calban is significant, however, because it was originally used to both create knights, and even more, was originally the blade that Modred used to kill Arthur, before it was changed to a spear. The other two sibling blades myth states were used by Galahad and Charlemane respectively, and Charlemane's was later borne by Joan Of Arc.
@@davidsoyele7829 Yes. I remembered after I typed it. The interesting thing, is that I have come across stories of Caliburn named as Caliban. Almost as if both names are interchangeable from each other.

666 is the mark of the beast. In the Bible, before Jesus Christ's second coming, someone known as the Anti-christ will arise. He will be backed up by the devil himself and will unite the whole world together in a false peace. One government, one religion, and one coin. This new world order will demand people to have a mark placed on their forehead or right hand and no one will be able to buy or sell if they don't have the mark. (Kinda like what happened during the pandemic.) The mark will be the number of the beast, his name, or his symbol. That number is six-hundred-sixty-six. Revelations 13:17-18 just in case you want to read it yourself.
666 refer to numerology! In Jewish and christian numerology, 7 is the number of god and 6 is the number of the human. 666 refer to the devil for some people because he is the most "human" amongst all creatures. It's kinda long to explain... Just check 666 numerology ;)

4:30 makes sense that he would slam into walls, the name does not directly origin from Carl Friedrich Gauß (one of the forefathers for a lot of Stuff, maths, physics, astronomie you name it he at least did something in that direction). The name itself comes from the magnetic flowdensity thats in turn named after him cause he pioneered it. so Gauss leans more on the magnetic laws that propell something and thats why he is named after the magnetic flowdensity. And all of that lead to the design of a Gausscannon, a coil gun that propels objects to high speeds using the magnetic flowdensity between different fields. you could technically say that its named after Carl Friedrich Gauß but it makes a lot more sense for him to be inspired by the Gausscannon.

A fun fact for Equinox:
If you use Wisp's Agile Animation set, she will split into a clone of herself and basically fly in a small circle before rejoining. If you are playing as Equinox, doing this will actually split Equinox into her Day and Night form instead.

If calling Nezha "her" is a purposeful troll, surely calling Zephyr a "he" is too? Surely
Same for Xaku
@@notsoneonkinda twitched my eye, like a total lack of integrity?!

Another fact about Gara:
Apparently Gara was the only person who willingly became a warframe
Two things
1) I actually was there during the tail end of the closed beta period, I saw many people use the Loki exploit since you could get places and made it impossible for enemies to hurt the cryopod.

Valkyr fun fact: Valkyr's cat-Like appearance might be linked to Freya's chariot pulled by huge cats. Freya is often seen as the head of the Valkyries.

Also on Octavia, Her idle animations are Mo-capped by DE Danielle
Correction on Trinity: Her name comes from both things you mentioned instead of it being either one or the other.

Since this video has been released, I'll add Citrine and Kullervo myself:
The numerus daggers stuck in his body suggests that there might actually be more to the punishment: a fate only shared by the Drifter: "Death by IMPALEMENT!" (repeated).
aslo atlas name In Greek mythology, Atlas is a Titan condemned to hold up the heavens or sky for eternity after the Titanomachy.

@@llbonkll ahhh ok thank you
The way I see it. This is just my belief and speculation. The are sentient to a degree. But they are in a coma/sleep like state. Because when one gets turned into a Warframe.

@Sub to Dierecktive Hayden Tenno, not Darren.
Theres also a boss called Stalker and Chroma but were different designs. Just similar names.
@@PurpleAppleDrinkchroma still looks similar to the dark sector chroma without his effigy
another fun fact, the design of chroma as suggested by his development name dragon, is most likely based on the chromatic dragons in Dungeons and Dragons.
Okay that’s way better then my fact
Excalibur was the First"
Xaku fun fact, this frame was actually designed by the design council and not DE itself, being what I believe is the first frame not purely being DEs design
i would say that's why he looks shit, but in truth almost everything since equinox does.
@@ESPmrBrough equinox looks shit but I actually really like xakus design, I think the council did good on her
Brokenframe for the win
Depends on what you consider “designed” given Nova’s abilities were from the design council as well.
@CliffMiller nova was not visually designed by them, I mean Xaku's aspects as both visual and in regards to gameplay.
Another fun fact about Valkyr: originally she had a different description that hinted to a much more horrifying and darker past.
"Forged in the labs of the Zanuka project, the original Valkyr was subject to cruel experiments, leaving her scarred, angry and frighteningly adept at killing."
Her appearance also reinforces this as the remnants of the restraints that are placed all over her are clearly of Corpus origin. I wish so badly that DE expanded on her by giving her a Harrow-style quest. I can already invision how the quest would play.
fun fact about nidus: his name derives from a latin(or was it greek?) word that means "nest"
Latin

Fun fact for Valkyr:
Valkyr, by lore of the game, is not her original Name, Look, nor Power set. Valkyr was "created" when Alad V captured and unknown frame, tortured her, preformed experiments on her, and then skinned her alive to create his "Hound", Zanuka. By this lore, Valkyr prime should not exist and should be a prime variant of a frame we have no access to.
Valkyr fact 2:
She was the first (and maybe only, cant remember) Frame to be voiced by an actress for the game... and all she can do is scream...
Past frame is known, take a look at the gersemi valkyr skin description
At this point Dagath is also another warframe that technically has a "voice" in her idle noble animation, she says "Hyah!" When she reins her horses
We need lore for more lore on the Warframes.
Cool video. You caught me on not knowing a few of them, but I don't think Leverian, Quest or Fragment lore is appropriate here. Here are some facts that I've gathered over the years, some duplicate from other comments, some more historical, and in no particular structure:
-Ash: You can Teleport onto a Blade Storm target to join your duplicates.
Woah… Nice
Grendel says uwu when he uses nourish :D
(Speaking of Xaku): "HE is the only frame so far to not have a gender." Bruh. Real Xaku mains gender them properly.
We are talking about a machine. I propose the "it" pronouns.
On top of that, personally I'd default to "she" because of the physical appearance of Xaku's shell, hourglass figure and a very feminine rear.
Also the true body is a metal skeleton, so it is really just walking metal bones
@@CelicaSNC Nobody ever has a problem using gendered pronouns for warframes until they're asked to refer to Xaku by the correct one.
Funny that.
@@crowteeth57 like I said, walking metal bones covered with a shell. It.
@@CelicaSNC technically.... warframes are people... so... not a true machine.
@@zarimanangel you forgot the giant quotation marks around “people”
Correction about Styanax (or rather Troy): while Styanax is undoubtably based on Greek Hoplites, Troy is not considered by historians to be one of Ancient Greece's many kingdoms but rather its own separate thing, even being said to have its own language.
Also happy that someone acknowledges that he's Trojan because there are way too many people calling Styanax "The Spartan".
For Ivara her artemis bow is after artemis the greek godess of the hunt
Extra Hyldryn fact, hyldryn has no unique passive as she was used to test shield gating which is now a universal player mechanic, her passive wasn't updated along with the mechanic
Her shieldgating has double duration
The entire fact was about Xaku's gender and you still called them a he lmao-
Thisssss
Xaku is a they, not only in the gender-neutral sense, but also in the sense that they're literally 3 MFs.
I was smh a bit about that as well.
You smell
cool thing for harrow, when you look at his abilities you'll hear static and then rell doing his iconic quote
Caliban is a reference to Excalibur because Caliban is a ancient place in Autharian myth and that's where king auther is from
Wasn't that avalon?
@@worldofoblivion977 I think so opps
@@shauntempley9757not CaliBAN, CaliBURN. But everything else you said about the sword is facts.
@@davidsoyele7829 Yes. I remembered after I typed it.
The interesting thing, is that I have come across stories of Caliburn named as Caliban. Almost as if both names are interchangeable from each other.

Fun fact for mag she was my first frame. An even more fun fact is that every frame is best used with the MIGHTY SEER
@13:57 stairway to heaven, being a reference to Hawaii's stairway of heaven. Its one of the most spiritual places in the world and is hallowed grounds. Also Hawaii being prosperous for Nature.

Looked it up after I recorded the Audio lmao
Another fact about wukong is the name connection he has with a Chinese mitology if I'm not mistaken, wukong was considered the monkey king
The idea of a "trinity" (3 gods as one) predates Christianity and is very widespread. Most are goddesses like Hecate.
No it does not
Its not distinct like the trinity in Christianity is
@@matt66716what do you mean, it very much is? The Morrison from Celtic mythology is another example.
@@davidsoyele7829 no the morrigan are 3 sister goddesses under one name this is completely distinct from the teaching of the trinity
@@matt66716 but that’s the same thing essentially? In Christianity it is: Father, Son and Holy Spirit who are also 3 “gods” that can be referred to as one name: the holy trinity. It’s basically the same concept used in a different context.
One thing you missed from Ivara: her design was inspired from a tree frong, hence the "tree warrior" name.
Wait how? I can't see it
Bro im lost. What does the „666“ refrence with Nekros mean and isn‘t Zephyr a girl?
And yes. Zephyr is a girl. He probably just wants us to put up a comment.
"666" is the "Devil's number" or some superstitious shit from christianity
666 refer to numerology! In Jewish and christian numerology, 7 is the number of god and 6 is the number of the human. 666 refer to the devil for some people because he is the most "human" amongst all creatures. It's kinda long to explain... Just check 666 numerology ;)
Cause 666 is the mark of the beast(Satan, whatever you want to call it)
Fun fact about Wukong, his character is from the "Journey to the West" story, which is one of the most interesting series of stories in China.
1. Gladiator who could fly before DE nerfted him for nothing.
2. You should've mantioned that tho xaku adds void damage this damage does not work on eidolons shields
3. Zephyr is she. So yeah that's not our favorite bird-man it's our favorite bird-woman

I know im late but fun fact about rhino: his frame parts were nearly impossible to farm in the first few weeks of warframe's 1st year because his parts were the first to have a lowly 5% chance to drop, with an exp orb and credits as at the highest drop rate of 30%
“Xaku has no distinct gender”
Proceeds to misgender them
4:30 makes sense that he would slam into walls, the name does not directly origin from Carl Friedrich Gauß (one of the forefathers for a lot of Stuff, maths, physics, astronomie you name it he at least did something in that direction).
BRO CALLED XAKU A HE!!!?!!?!?!? And its your "favourite frame" yeah right
Xaku is a void tree
Yeah.
Xaku has no gender so he's the gender of whoever plays him in my oppinion.
I didn’t know arcane helmets were a thing until I saw this vid
On the plus side, it looks like they don’t offer particularly GOOD stat boosts most of the time
And by “good” I mean “powerful”
The stat increases are minuscule for the most part

>zephyr
>"his name"
Zephyr was done on purpose to piss people off and xaku has no gender so he's whatever tf you want lol
