I learned how to drive manual just so I could get this car. I now have my gr86 and I love it! So worth it
EXCELLENT you made a great choice. I'd totally buy one of these!
I appreciate the details shared here. Most GR86 videos are all copying or repeating similar content. And, you sir, provided some solid info
Ah thank you, I like to hear this!
Nice! Love the short throw shifter. Looks like a fun ride!
Top quality video, thank you for real driver focused information, detailed and to the point 👍🏻
Glad you liked!! Cheers from Sudbury!
Had one for almost a year now. Your review is the most accurate I have watched. In particular, your points about the clutch, steering, and lights are exactly right. Great work. 👍
Thanks, I'm really glad to hear that. Was lucky enough to have a few assignments on this car that took me across the country and put a lot of miles on it. Definitely one. I would love to own one day myself! Enjoy yours!
Great video. Took me.4 months to get my Track bRed Premium, been driving it for a few months now and absolutley LOVE IT!!
I've been driving a van for more than a decade and I went to my Toyota dealer and got ... a BRZ, go figure. Anyway, I absolutely love the handling of the 86/BRZ. It makes every little turn in the road more fun.
And that's what it's all about!
Thanks for the review, i am about to ‘pull the trigger’ on one, and found your review to be very helpful!!!
Thanks, I love hearing this :-)
Top notch review, as usual.
Good review ! Mainly focused on driving and not on cosmetics. Now if they'd only could hurry up production... Waiting delays are discouraging.
Well, I'm sold! Saving up for one now.
You will love it.
I actually adjusted my clutch bite point after a year.it made it way easier to modulate . Some are set super high to bite. You have to be careful with this however, and be sure some free play remains.
Now I just need to find one to buy been waiting 6 months
How do you used the paddle shifter ?
I’m patiently waiting for my Apollo blue GR86 in Australia… estimated delivery of April 😢
Great video
Thanks! I hoped it would help swing some people into one, it's a really fun machine!!
@@JustinPritchard I’m hoping it comes sooner than April, I really enjoyed test driving it. Does it have remote start in your country? I’m not sure if it has it in Australia
@@robertobrien200 I know the manual unit I was driving definitely didn't have remote start and most cars with a manual transmission don't, might be available with an automatic.
Not sure how many people would drive this in the winter although it would be a lot of fun :-)
Getting my trueno blue in two weeks 🙏
Agree with you on all points but the RTV sealant issue is a major no-go for me.
Would you say it's worth buying for it's price?
Hundred percent, one of my favorite sports cars to drive. And I'm driven them all.
Wait wait wait, this car has an onboard Dyno??
I don't know if it's an onboard Dyno as much as just a visual representation of where you are in the power curve, still a pretty cool touch that I enjoyed
It’s just visual representation.
Honestly, as good as the new 86 is, i think id rather have the last gen. Im not a fan of the looks of the front and rear, I much prefer a physical tach and i despise push starts.
Last gen was push start as well
Physical tachs are things of the past get with the times
Front end looks way better than any last gen model and current brz
The back end could of been done better but I agree last gen back is better
@@jasonanderseon1127 depends on region & trim level. There are even 2018 86's without push start. But it's more common for 2012-16 models to not have push start.
You can't even get a MT GR86 in US, most of them are AT or you will need to wait for a year or you will need to pay for USD9500 mark up, that totally stupid !
“Human adults”.. opposed to? Lol
