I remember that it was about 16 years ago, i ve travelled to Dubai only to participate Dariush’s performance. He was my absolute favorite singer; still he is. I didn’t know how to react when I see him on stage. The show was held in a open location I mean without roof.. spring wind was carrying his voice and audience’s to the Persian Gulf.. I thought that all the world were observing this magnificent ceremony. I ve never forget. Thanks to react this performance by Dariush, the Legend. 🙏🏽
The lyricist if this song is Ardalan Sarfaraz. He's written the lyrics as a tribute to the death of his father

Ardalan Sarfaraz once said he was shocked and couldn’t believe his father’s death and he couldn’t even cry for his father. But he wrote this wonderful lyrics for his father.
Mace I suggest you to listen to “do panjere”, its translation is “two windows” one of most beautiful songs of googoosh. It’s a fantasy of two windows that love each other but they never can reach together because of walls between them and the only way that delivers them to each other is to break walls but you know when a wall breaks, the windows become useless and die. So those to windows wish to reach together after their death.

You oughta know that Dariush and Googoosh, each have been at the top of the popularity ranking of their own gender, for the past 40-50 years. Every other Artists in the Iranian Pop Music are placed below these two, except, occasionally when an individual (Song or Album) from other Artists take a lead and is placed above these two for a period of time.
General answer by the Persians to the question: who is your favorite male artist? Dariush. Your female artist? Googoosh. The new generation, maybe not as much.

This song is usually heard in loneliness and sad times with quality sound, not with those crowds. Anyway he is the King of sad and passionate music... he has a deep voice, so maybe not a good example to mimic :) ( I mean for pronouncing Cheshme man, just pronounce it in the most relaxed and less stressed way you can, that's Persian)
