My favorite video of the last 10 years. Magical. Please, God, please protect these people from the aggressions of both their leaders and ours. Thanks. 🧡🧡🧡

You are happy with his shameless explanation !!!
You would love for everyone to look down on Iran !!!
I do not know what this behavior could be due to !!
I just know it might be a humiliation in itself

Let's not forget that Latin music is driven from Persian music, the guitar is originally a Persian instrument Taar or setar is the earlier form of Guitar. So if you hear similarity in Latin and Persian classic music, it's not to be taken as to be Spanish influenced but a Persian flavour.
Nice info
From Germany 👏👏👏❤️iranian
Respect from iran♡
Persian language=poetry💖
Spanish, latin music is greatly influenced by Persian classical music. In fact the instrument guitar is a derivative of the more ancient Persian string instrument called the Tar! Gui-Tar.
we believe likewise
Absolutely you are right all the above music styles you mentioned are derived from persia and influenced other cultures.

@@alisonhurtado1094 You are entitled to your opinion however unscientific it may be. Just research and you will find out what I said is true!
Persian language is soooooooo beautiful
Culture music poetry
Wow
As an Iranian and Farsi speaker, I prefer to translate "behet ghoul midam" to "I bet" [instead of "I promise you"], as the meaning of the clause (lyric) HERE has more of a rebuke tone and negative connotation than a positive one, and has nothing to do with commitment which the word "promise" normally implies. Promise usually evokes a positive feeling about a responsibility that has been undertaken, while "bet" just shows a belief about something that is going to happen.

"He's painting with his voice "
Man you just create an epic sentence by yourself!
You got it!!! Persian paint what they sing and even say. Passion drives them. In everything. In Life and in death. One must know the language to know what every line really
Means and it is the song and the voice that puts it into perspective. Thank you for your open heart and open mind. 👍🤗
Mohsen Yeganeh is a popular singer in Iran and has very beautiful songs that are more beautiful than each other and should be listened to because it makes every human being feel at ease.
To help with the meaning of the song, the girl he is referring to doesn't seem to love him anymore yet she is anxious of leaving him. He on the other hand knows it but still loves her and cannot replace her with anybody else.
"Painting with his voice"
great expression
The " certain flavor" that you referring is the feeling you get when you walk in Valiasr street in Tehran in the evening while listing to it.
I am Iranian and I am proud of Iran😍❤🇮🇷🇮🇷

Hi , I am Iranian
In Iran, everyone loves this song, and in Iran, everyone knows Mohsen Yeganeh is one of the best, and many girls love his voices, and i know it has been a long time since this song came but , it has a good feeling and memory for me.
😍
Not only girls love his voice but also we boys love it.... That is fantastic!!
He is really painting with his vioce...👌👌
Hello there! I just watched your video, and I know it's been 8 months, but I'd like to give my thoughts on the lyrics, and I'll try to make it as american as possible!
In our culture, young men are to believe that women are supposed to be hard to get, which is called "naaz kardan/woman playing hard to get!" It's actually acceptable for men and they will pursue women for awhile but sometimes this turns to a cruel game of playing with men's emotions and hearts!
In this song, the singer is singing about the sad truth, that he's realized she doesn't love him. He's telling her that he knows the truth and he knows that she wants to leave him. The saddest part is that he's telling her though he's anxious about her leaving him, he's comforting her anyway by telling her that no one would replace her!
Hello Mojdeh I absolutely love Iran, music, culture and everything. I know exactly what you are describing because this exact thing has happened to me.
I hope you are always successful and happy, on behalf of an Iranian 👍👍🌹🌹🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷

The lyrics of the song 'I promise you' By Mohsen Yeganeh
You wanna become a memory but fail and show off to love me as your daily games
Don’t fear as everyone worries at the time of leaving and these worries will perish turn into memos over a couple of days
I bet it's no hard at least for you, mellow out as I'm far off from you & your world
Don’t worry, no one would replace you, I got worries for your tomorrow
I promise it's not hard ,at least for you, mellow out as I'm far off from you & your world
Don’t worry, no one would replace you, I got worries for your tomorrow
On loving you, I took all I had
You just remained and you took my feelings
And wish to keep up yourself and forget our being us and you are ready to leave off but your fears hinder you
Don’t be all scared and get off without me as no one remembers me but you
You thought who would know of me, just leave as no one gets to know this
I promise it's not hard, at least for you, mellow out as I'm far off from you & your world
Don’t ever worry, no one would replace you, I got worries for your tomorrow
I promise it's not hard, at least for you, mellow out as I'm far off from you and your world and in search of you
Don’t ever worry, no one would replace you, I got worries for your tomorrow
Our path was the same but the destination off part with the heart full off sorrows
oh my God

Most string instruments were invented in Persia so no surprises as to why they're so good at playing them!
My lovely Iran❤❤❤❤
Thank you for your beautiful feelings
From Iran with love💐💐💐💐
As an Iranian, here's my take.
He's passive aggressively trying to make his lover feel guilty for leaving him -- and maybe prevent her from doing so without giving any verbal hint that he wants her to stay, in fact he keeps telling her TO leave verbally but conveying the opposite meaning with his sorrow and tune. Emotionally it's a mixture of sulking, guilting, and adoration. I think the music also conveys his constant turmoil and anxiety at the thought of losing his lover.
Persian to English translations always suck (even though this is one of the good ones) because not many people have a visceral understanding of both cultures. Here are some examples of how I would have translated differently:
- I am far from you and your world (which is the exact literal translation) --> I know I am out of your league (very loose literal translation but catches the meaning better, though this is less of a cultural league and more in the line of "other things have caught your eye and I don't amuse you anymore")
- go on and leave with ease, nobody is paying attention to me --> go ahead and leave, nobody's watching (i.e., to judge you)
In Iranian romantic relationships, getting passive aggressive in a self deprecating way is very endearing because it conveys humility and affection more than anything, very different connotation from passive aggressive behavior and speech in English (imagine someone telling their girlfriend "go ahead, leave, I'll just be alone and depressed for the rest of my life." Not very endearing, is it?)
thank you for the explaination. when i read the translation "i am far from you and your world", since I don't understand the language itself, I literally take this song about my LDR with my irani bf (guess its ex now, sadly) i really took this song personally because it really feel like this song is the music of how i feel about the breakup. anyway, i am learning to read persian children book as the first step for me to learn persian. wish me luck!
Nice
I know most of us are talking about the song itself but as someone who once in SUMS made a living out of live translation for about 600 people I must commend your talent if English is not your mother language or the second one. If it is your second language you have a really well knack for it.
keep on.
WOW ive never heard someone say "the way he sings is like painting the words" thats amazing!
super nice! the way to pronounced the title means "i give you flowers".
you sure u are not a poet yourself?
Hi One Si
I am Iranian. I can help you for the title meaning:
It is correct : I promise you.
(I give you flower = behet Gol midam) ghol and gol are completely different in persian language.
Good luck🌷
He is wonderful you have to understand the song he is the best every Iranian in the world love him 💙❤️🧡💛💗💚🤎💜💖❤️💙💛🧡💚💗🤎💜💖🤍🇨🇦👌
thank you mace!
I have listen it for thousands of times and im enjoying it every time . Please set more Persian music . Love from Iran😘💚
Love from France 👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree with you that if you pay attention the meaning could be a bit vague. But it's basically about being doubtful about leaving someone when you feel sorry for them or are afraid of what might happen to them? So he tells her to leave and not worry about him. But also he says no one will replace her also says that he is worried about what would happen to her? So I guess this is not exactly an issue of language barriers but mostly how you can relate to this or interpret it for yourself. It's always nice to see reactions to this song, so thanks for that ✌️
