The person who wrote these lyrics is Ardalan Sarfaraz.this poem was written when he found out his beloved father has passed and he was on the road back from another city. It’s very touching.

Dariush is a treasure of Persia.He has been singing for about fifty years .His lyrics almost got him exiled .The emotions that he can reach and the way he touches humanity is something else.He has paved the way for so many new artists.So glad the rest of the world is discovering his music.My brother got me into his music forty five years ago and and I am still a fan and will be for ever.love and peace to all.🙏😄

Not only Darush is a great legendary persian pop singer, he is a very loving& caring human beings who cares so much about human beings especially Iranian people , he is a human right activist & most of his songs are full of social& political messages! He has a foundation called AYENEH( mirror) which helps people with drugs or Alcohol addiction to get treatment& back on their feet & start a better life . I have so much respect for him& grew up loving his music & passion for people ❤️

Dariush makes us all cry. I love that he’s always very particular about the poems that he uses in his songs. he’s my favorite Iranian singer. I think he’s the only Iranian singer that has no bad or even average song.

This is one of my all time favourites by Dariush and have heard it hundreds if not thousands of times. But this is the first time I have watched it with English translation, so accurate to the actual lyrics. Ofcourse I don't need the subtitles to understand what he sings, but for our worldwide friends not understanding the language but drawn to the voice and the emotion of the occasion, it is very important. So thank you to Tim and Vena for taking the time, presenting, and introducing this iconic, well loved amongst Iranians artist, to their audience. Keep up the good work folks.
