"Nice argument Senator, how about you back it up with a source?"
"It came to me in a dream!"
Hey you know about time travel, right?
No.
Well you do actually because you told me about a dream you had about the future.

Somehow, he reacted in the exact same way, to the same, thing, TWICE.
Almost the same cadence and inflection too.
Classic brain overload amnesia.
"Did I just do that?" "Did I just move my fist... with my mind?!" "I guess I do that now." Had me fucking rolling LMAO
41:31 Not the Zero Escape VLR Robot 💀
This game is a goddamn spider's web. Hundreds of cutscenes with a ton of branching options and outcomes. All of it goddamn voice acted.
It's absolutely insane how much there is here. And honestly after all the Zero Escape games the writing is surprisingly good. But it's also exhausting to follow due to the sheer non-linearity. I respect it but I don't think I'd want to sit down and play 3 hours of this after a long work day. I'd overload my brain irl
dude when i played this, i did 10 hour days for 4 days straight, it was like crack for me, i just NEEDED to know
im glad joe played it because , i love the game, but i probably couldn't get myself to play it by myself lol
oh hell yeah, I just watched part 1 yesterday. great vegetables, walrus!
yuki being sexist and joe pointing it out is it's own bit XD
joe's white guilt isn't a "bit" it's just reality
Ei and Ryoko talking together scratches that 2B 9S itch.
[1:14:28] Well, he seems to be doing better than Woolie at this point, as far as I can tell. Or at least he's not theorizing like crazy.
I still remember that when he saw the screen flicker, Woolie immediately jumped to the conclusion that 1985, as a whole, _didn't exist._
Also, damn, he really came up with a COMPLETELY CORRECT interpretation of the scene at [1:10:19], even without all the info!
Poor Woolie. Man got too ambitious with those theories way too fast. Entertaining as hell, to be sure, but that man's poor poor brain tied itself into a bunch of knots within the first 2 to 3 hours and after that there was no saving it. 🤣
Thanks so much for working on these edits. I love them
A bit sad that Missille rain isn't as spectacular as when it used to slow down the game.
Thank you for completing the Three's Company bit lmao
To be fair on Shinomome's behalf when accusing Ei of ebinh 426, she had some really major brain damage at that point.
It's rare for me to watch a let's play and want to play the game. This is one of those times. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to stop watching this series now. The premise is just so fascinating that I have to experience it for myself.
making a story deliberately confusing and nonsensical doesn't make it inherently fascinating.
@@HappyLarry.I enjoyed piecing the story together for myself, idk.
@@HappyLarry. It's not deliberately confusing or nonsensical. It's a non linear mystery. Those aren't confusing or nonsensical, so long as you're able to actually understand that the scenes you're viewing are giving you the puzzle pieces you need. It's the same with the zero escape series and most visual novels that use multiple different routes to tell an overarching story. Just cuz the game is less linear than even some of those titles doesn't mean it's confusing or nonsensical. It just means you'll need to do a better job recognizing and putting the pieces together. Something the game actively helps you do with the mystery files and timeline sections.
@colt1903 zero escape is also bullshit, you're literally proving my point. Random things will just OCCUR, and people like you will just accept it because of the outrageous notion that it doesn't have to make sense or be logical because it's "non-linear".
@@HappyLarry. Tell me you didn't even properly read what I said without telling me you didn't even properly read what I said, why don't you. I never said things don't need make sense or be logical. I'm saying that the games or games do make sense and they are logical. You don't need to be linear in order to be logical and make sense. By implying you think that, you're insulting both your own intelligence and that of others. It's easy to follow the logic and make sense of a non linear story, even one like Zero Escape. It's just a matter of being willing to meet the writer(s) in the middle and accept that the answers won't just be more or less handed to you so soon after the question is raised like in many linear stories. You'll need to think, theorize, and re-think as more and more breadcrumbs are given to you, even more than you would need to with some of the tougher mysteries you would see in some linear stories. There's a level of engagement there that non linear stories provoke and most of the time linear stories just don't match it.
Honestly, that there is more or less the trade off in a nutshell.
Linear stories are always easier to follow but the actual stories themselves receive less direct and immediate engagement.
Non Linear stories get stronger direct and immediate engagement, but can be harder to follow if you aren't approaching them with the proper mindset of... Well, engaging. Meet the writers in the middle; pay extra close attention, think, theorize, rinse and repeat until the cows come home.
Moving on to "Random things will just occur"...
I'm gonna be honest and say I don't REALLY understand what you mean by that.
My immediate thought goes to Golm from ZE:VLR. He was the charming robot in the GOLEM Bay who had the thick... I wanna say Cockney accent, iirc? Anyway, he's the closest thing that comes to mind when I think of Zero Escape and "random". Which... I mean, sure? I don't see why that's a problem, though. One, it's explained. And Two, it's just FUN! There's nothing wrong with something random if you can explain it, and make it fun. That is LITERALLY the basis of EVERY SINGLE STORY IN EXISTENCE. It's the FOUNDATION OF FICTION ITSELF. "Let's make something fun/enjoyable/meaningful, and put it out there for the world to experience, no matter how random or ridiculous it may seem."
Nothing wrong with that, and I can't see how anyone could ever have a problem with that.
Cuz of that, I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you to be more specific. Cuz all that really comes to mind in terms of random Zero Escape moments are things that are subsequently explained in one manner or another, more or less explained and fun like GOLM, or things that are implied to have explanations, but are never fully expanded upon. Like how Akane being a walking talking bootstrap paradox may be the true reason everything is so fucked in the sequels.
That last bit is just my own little fan theory, but it makes an interesting thing to think about. Again, that's something non linear stories excel at. Keeping you engaged, even long after all is said and done.
Wow im amazed JA realized the Fight club twist so early.
Cant wait for part 3
"What if Juro's bisexual?"
His biggest think yet
and they never are because japan is too based and doesn't care about joe's woke dogshit
... What guys would he even get with. Like, I'm trying to think, and I can't imagine any of them really fitting with him, romantically.
@@2bussy How is bisexuals existing in media (and irl, big shocker) "woke dogshit"?
i gotta say i like how ida doesn't act or pursue any "relation" with Ryoko even tho he still uses Ryoko's obvious affection towards him for his own benefit. many other stories i see have the manipulator try to act as if they are in a relationship and it's kinda gross and stupid so i really like how they handled it here
I feel terrible for her. She clearly has some kind of mental instability, and doesnt seem to have any sort of support network.
any idea when part 3 will be out? also how many parts do you think you will make before you finish?
I couldn't give an exact date for when it will be out, I'm planning to release a 13S every other video. I think it will end up being 4-5 videos in total
Can’t wait, thanks for the work :)
My guess is with all the Alien BJ jokes that the localisers saw the direct translation and just left it in cos its too funny
its happening boissss
Cute Guy
53:22 😂😂😂
11:11 It is. But also not.
i can't be the only one who has no idea what's going on 😭😭
This is not a story that can be followed through highlights😂
I got the notis on and it still didnt tell me this video came out 😢
Someone please explain me 2:10:08 I'm genuinely so lost with this game
Sorry if I'm wrong but it just dawned on Joe that the whole train station repeating sequence was because of Okino. He already knew that everyone is on a simulation and thought that Ogata's 'Main simulation' is the train station thing while in fact he's on 2 layers of simulation. And he's even more caught off guard because in the middle of ogata's story, Okino did show up and told Ogata what to do and somehow Joe didn't catch that
Oh and there was a scene before this that showed Hijiyama and Okino knocked ogata out in the school and brought him somewhere. So maybe Joe felt he's 'played' because he's supposed to have all the pieces of information to figure it out
It's cold, it's cold.
Heavy rain. Heavy rain. Heavy rain. Heavy rain. Heavy rain.
yeah its true joe, chihiro should have been naked in the sentinel
She wasn't in a sentinel
Jokes on Joe- 3 Housew is the least weeb of the modern FE games besides Echoes. XD
Cute Abridged
Wow juro you sure cooked a lot of food just for yourself.
Come to think of it, i didnt know you even can cook???
Earth Defense Force Prequel
oh my fucking god is it fucking Zero Escape again
i wonder why he keeps lying that the witcher 3 video is even in production at this point
I'm ready for the cringe
13 Sentinels is actually good tho
@@claudiocozzi4425 nope its not

@@Watsuda Im pretty sure he Rated it an 8/10 after the Stream. While he didn't like the Difficulty Spike in the last Battle or the Fanservice Tropes throughout, he had a lot of good things to say about the Game a the End of the Stream so saying he Loathes the game is untrue and more part of the "THIS TIME FOR SURE (not)" Meme that's going on with his Weeb Games.
E-Girl sims ruin everything.
