I know of a spatula skip glitch in Kelp Forest that could help you save time. I'm not a speedrunner, but I do like finding glitches. Near the bridge that has to be rebuilt, there is a plant with collisions. you normally slide off of it when getting on top of it, but if you're really fast you can get on it, jump off, and get to the other side of the bridge. Getting the spatula will cause the game to automatically build the bridge without Patrick having to throw the Tikis and stuff. Hope this helps! I found this on the GameCube version.
