Hahaha I bought a fiesta titanium hit exactly the same on the other side in December took me 2 months on and off. Rear quarter, inner wheel well, rear panel inner rear panel all replaced. But both legs had moved over to the drivers side ripped the axle in half. They are not nice to do at all. I'm glad someone else has to go through what I went through. I can send u photos if u want lol it ain't as easy as u think to replace the floor on them. In review I should have broke it but wouldn't have got money back
Another great project. You go through what needs doing making it sound so easy to do and yet those who know what's what will know how hard it can be to turn around. At least you've sourced another rear end with some help and will be getting it fitted by someone who knows their job and not some jack the lad who reckons they know it all. Looking forward to seeing the finished project. I've spent the day catching up with some of your past work and I'm very impressed
You'll get it sorted Mark and of course it'll have a full MOT with "no advisories" once your done with it. Hope you and your family have a great Easter, take care.
Don't cut any sections out until it's pulled.believe it or not,a lot of that will push out with a 10 tonne porta power.youre lucky it's a 5 door because u could use an engine support beam across the back of b post and porta power in-between.use blocks of wood on b post.obvs u will be replacing rear panel, but quarter and boot floor are probably saveable.
@@ResurwreckAutosUK I would give u a hand if u were closer.half a day on that would have it nearly straight, then decide what to chop off.i reckon the quarter will save.
Great video Mark and it will only take a pull or two to get it back to new!! I am sure you will get it all sorted out and back to new again!? Looking forward to seeing the other new projects coming over the next few days! Enjoy your long bank holiday with your family and see you soon on the next one Mark
Most body shops use the damaged areas to pull back the lesser damaged areas before removing the any damaged panels the fact the chassis leg hasn't crumpled is a real bonus everything else is fixable
That’s not at all bad. The car looks great apart from the obvious. That will sell very quickly. Have a great weekend with your family Mark. Happy Easter to you
I reckon it can be done its just a matter of the cost of cutting it all out and refitting would it be worth doing and are you going to make any money from it when its done ?, You do enough of them so would make a great parts car Happy Easter Mark, has that rear axal split 21:39
£5k plus car there when fixed. 53k miles and race red too like mine. Can't wait to see how you fix that rear end and yes people gagging for low miles 1.25 zetec. Ecoboom have issues and good knows what issues when they hit high miles. Great choice just more work than you first thought. 😎👌. Also if that's a full size 15" alloy in the wheel holder in boot, surely it sits proud as, I was told boot liner floor isn't level with a 15"alloy in situe. Ill be annoyed if you can put a full size 15 alloy in the boot, I was told no and got a 14" steel, and it wasn't cheap either 👀
Hi Mark. Your going to do this. After the Body shop & Paint shop, do their stuff. You can do your work and it's out the door. Next Please 🤣. It's a pity Copart, are still being underhanded in their business practice. See you in the next one.
The car is an easy fix but the year goes against it, when you repair cars with that damage they need to be a lot newer to be worthwhile, if your handy with a welder that car does not need pulling, I've done loads of them where you cut past all the damage. Depends on how cheap you got the car for as you haven't mentioned the price as this has a lot to do with weather it is worth repairing or not.
That's not bad to be honest, if you could pick a bad smashed front ender up it would be easier to use that as a parts car and give you good knowledge in unpicking seams etc,im sure you've watched Arthur tussik before now.? Ah just see you've been offered a bargain rear end, thebig breakers won't sell as the places they buy them from forbid them
This is one of those cars that actually looks worse than it really is ! ..... That needs a rear o/s quarter , back panel/crossmember and a boot floor...... a complete quarter from a breaker will have that fixed in short order . Get it on the jig with someone who knows what they're doing . I've repaired far worse than that , when I was doing salvage stuff.....
Hope you and your family have a great Easter and that you are able to have a bit of a break Mark, you have certainly been busy since the start of this year!! Credit to you.
@@ResurwreckAutosUK Yeah it doesn't take long for these companies to start getting greedy with the price of the cars, like you said their loss, when nobody wants to buy off them.
This is going to be fascinating. Thanks Mark.
Thanks Richard yeah definitely going to be a interesting one 👍👍
