Simply marvellous orchestral music brilliantly directed for TV. Obviously a lot of hard work in preparing the TV script, and the results on screen are a tribute to the entire TV team involved. Polish people are TRUE WARRIORS! Their STRONG FAITH in the Lord has undoubtedly helped them SURVIVE CENTURIES of attacks-yet STILL GOING STRONG! We, around the globe, can all learn from them!
Impressive. Most impressive. Especially that this is clearly John Williams' own penned arrangement not a dumbed down school version. These kids are gonna be world class musicians.
This was not enjoyed by Nylandragon who for some reason did not, one note in the entire piece. This rest of us liked it. Majority wins 63,999 to 1. We win.
+BrianDMS I played in bands that did these themes. I always thought it was less of the students fault and more of the instructor gutting the theme by putting there own variation on it. Like those weak sounding french horns at the beginning, I bet during practice the instructor hammered in for hours that they need to sound like that.
This music takes me back. I saw the first Star Wars film back in1978. I was 12 years of age and this movie completely changed everything. Goosepimples....
I was 4. My family was fresh off the plane from Japan. Episode 4: A New Hope was the first movie I saw in the US at a drive in theater. I was in complete awe and the music was amazing. I was already learning to play piano at 3. After the movie I played some of that epic music on our keyboard at home.

This is a song about a 10 year's boy playing on the corridor of the building he lived in Rio de janeiro, after watched Star Wars for the first time in 1986. Is a song about all of us, the generations who enjoy Star Wars in the west and all around the world. Thanks John Willians for this anthem of my generation.

An absolutely fantastic performance of the star wars main theme. Congratulations to the entire orchestra and conductor. A delight to watch and listen to. Thank you
I remember watching the first Star Wars Release at the local cinema. It was like nothing else I’d seen before. I started to notice a certain dramatic flair along with good guy themes, bad guy themes and how the tension would sometimes build through the music until it was finally released when the good guys escaped or won a fight. There were also lovely touching moments or mysterious moments and the music would perfectly match the “moment”. Then there was the triumphant music at the end as the heroes were celebrated after vanquishing the “dark side”. In Star Wars there was that little “teaser” at the end as Darth Vader is seen still alive, having just escaped with his life and the music would become very slightly menacing, so one knew that there was likely to be a sequel and DV would be back to fight another day. As the next two movies reached the cinemas in the UK, many of us thought that there was no way the next one could be as good as the previous one, but they didn’t disappoint and once again there was this music that was exactly right for every part of the story. One of the most interesting moments was (musically speaking anyway was the bar scene when the stripper takes off her clothes and then starts to peel of her skin to the apparent delight of all the strange aliens gathered there and the music being played in the bar as the heroes entered it sounded like it was being created by alien instruments, but I’m pretty sure were mostly played on traditional orchestral instruments along with some fun for the percussion section, who can use any instrument that involves hitting something with some sort of stick or softer ended hammer or beater. They got inventive and so did the main orchestra I think. Maybe they were even able to procure traditional instruments from other cultures which would sound unfamiliar to our Western ears, along with an unusual but really fun jazzy feel to the whole thing. Then I watched the first Indiana Jones movie and I thought there was something familiar about the brilliant soundtrack for that. All the same themes, tension builders etc. that had made the first Star Wars trilogy go from a great film to one of the greatest of all time (in my opinion anyway). I looked out at the end credits for the composer’s name and as we shared the same last name I remembered it and started checking out other movies John Williams had created the scores for. E.T. again I was aware that there was something extra that made these films extra special. Wikipedia arrived and I googled his name. All those great exciting movies, but there was no repetition of the soundtracks, although he had clearly hit on a winning formula for these films which were primarily aimed at children and young people. Magnificent edge of your seat stuff all the way through. He’s very special and has an amazing talent for evoking the right emotion at just the right moment. Thank you John. ❤
My breath eas take away after watching this. Everything and everyone was absolutely PERFECT (LOL to the performance of the maestro X) ! Thank you guys: you made my day happier!

this was amazing. just watched John Williams live before this video and this felt more emotional to me. all the idiots pointing out mistakes should watch John Williams live and count the mistakes there
to those who have commented on how bad, slow tempo, or the mistakes made: it takes a lot of blood, sweat and tears to practice to play an instrument; yet even the best of the best make mistakes. easy is it to critisize but hard it is to pick up an instrument and play perfectly like The London Philharmonic Orchestra. Kudos to these kids in this video to play one on the best movie theme songs of all time! They have dedicated time and effort and have begun their music career on a higher level
It must be such a great honor being a part of any Orchestra and being privileged to play a piece of John Williams' work. Especially a "Star Wars" Orchestration. Applauded! 👏

+Classical Music11 And I think he draws heavily from Wagner's leitmotifs too. And Darth Vader's theme (Imperial March) sounds a lot like a mashup of Schubert's Funeral March and Wagner's "magic helmet" theme (from the Ring series). And no, not a bad thing at all. He uses a wonderful musical vocabulary.
